This classic craftsman bungalow sits just two blocks from the entrance to Seabright Beach, the best beach in Santa Cruz. In a neighborhood laid out in the 1880s, this early 1900s home marks the transition from beach shack to beach house.
This beach house has three bedrooms and two baths (tubs/showers in each). Hardwood floors throughout the house provide warmth and richness; eco-friendly marmoleum is soft under foot in the bathrooms.
The kitchen sports a granite counter and is stock with all the basics: fridge, stove range with oven, dishwasher, toaster, microwave, and pots and pans. Also, a washer and dryer are provided.

The Seabright neighborhood (called Midtown by local surfers) is centrally located and minutes to numerous desirable attractions such as the beach, Boardwalk Amusement Park, Yacht Harbor, West Cliff Drive, UCSC and so on. This Beach Bungalow is also a great base for regional day trips to Monterey, Carmel, Big Sur, Silicon Valley, Half Moon Bay and San Francisco.
Closer to home, actually just a few blocks away, in case you don't feel like driving, there are several restaurants (Seabright Brewery, La Posta, Triamonti's Pizza and Pasta, Linda's Sea Breeze Cafe and Betty Burgers) and a couple cafes (Java Junction with Free WiFi and Verve Cafe with excellent espresso). In the nearby Yacht Harbor there is Aldo's Cafe and the Crow's Nest Bar and Grill; both have great ocean views.
Regardless of whether you plan to stay put or see the many sites in the area, the Mott Beach Bungalow is a wonderful home base and place to stay.
