The property is situated in the last rural area left in Sedona. The property around us is mostly forest service land and hiking is right out your back door. Miles and miles of pristine trails and the creek is only 15 minute walk. Our view cannot be rivaled by anything in the world, Cathedral Rock is known for its unique formation and is the landmark that most recognize Sedona by. The rooms are decorated appropriately for the western theme we like that was Sedona. The birds are amazing here as well as many other wildlife species, Javalina, White tail deer, Elk, Eagles, Great horned owls, Bobcats, we have seen it all right from our balcony....Read more

Our neighborhood is rural. We have Oak Creek out our back door, there are many many things around Sedona to do, historic towns animal parks, wineries. There are many jeep tours and new age tours.
We have a good shuttle we recommend for tours and shuttles to and from airport and mini excursions. Bob's Taxi and Tours

We met friends in Sedona & this property fit us like a glove! Our friends stayed in the King room with the full kitchen (They cooked us dinner the first night of our stay) & we spent the evening outside in Caralyn's beautiful garden gazing at the stars, listening to the coyotes & warming ourselves by the fire pit! We stayed in the Queen room with the kitchenette which was decorated beautifully. The beds in both rooms we extremely comfortable. Caralyn & Gary were available (when needed) & we enjoyed their company, stories about old Sedona & their recommendations of places to go things to do!

We stayed in the very spacious apartment for 2 nights, slept wonderfully soundly. It was so quiet. We thoroughly enjoyed sitting out on the porch watching the birds coming to feed at the numerous bird feeders and then seeing them splashing in the water fountain. Carolyn and Gary have made the apartment very welcoming, plenty of space, lots of natural light but we especially loved sitting out in their patio garden where they are still creating new landscaping features. W e didn’t have red rock views from inside the apartment but just step outside and Cathedral Rock is there right in front of you. Carolyn has another delightful but smaller rental on the premises, The Casita, and that is completely separated from the apartment with its own entrance and own patio. There is a hot tub available in a shared patio area. We were more than happy with full kitchen facilities, a gas BBQ, eat-in kitchen area overlooking the garden. Terrific location right among the red rocks but a short drive to all the restaurants and shopping. We’ll definitely be back now we found this little piece of tranquility. As Carolyn said, Wi-Fi worked wonderfully, cell phones were definitely spotty.

We needed a place that was both wheelchair accessible and pet friendly - not easy to find, but Carolyn's place is both. Carolyn and her husband are wonderful people - warm, kind and gracious - and they have created an amazing place to stay! The apartment is warm and homey, private and quiet, beautiful and relaxing. We spent time in the lovely garden every day we were there, enjoying the quiet, the beauty of the garden and the views, and the bubbling fountain...
The apartment has a patio with table and chairs, perfect for meals outdoors. There is also a nice tv with a good channel selection (important to my partner) and free wifi (important to me).
It's far enough from town that you feel like you're off on your own (absolutely necessary for us, coming from a metro area), but close enough to be convenient for shopping, dining out or sight-seeing. We wandered around Uptown, visited the vortexes, drove through Coconino National Forest and just generally explored the area. There are a few restaurants we really enjoyed: The Mesa Grill, The Barking Frog, The Golden Goose and the Black Cow Cafe are all tops! The thing both of us liked best was that it felt like home; we could not have been more comfortable.
Our heartfelt thanks to Carolyn and 'Arizona' for creating such an amazing place, and for being willing to share it. We loved you guys - and Chico! - and look forward to visiting again.
