With two bedrooms, this cottage has been tastefully and considerately restored to offer accommodation for up to three people, making it an idyllic hideaway for small families. This stone-built cottage offers privacy and seclusion for couples or small families looking to spend some time together. All the accommodation is laid out over a single storey and is arranged in an open-plan style. The views of Morecambe Bay and the Kentmere Valley are truly remarkable and the shared grounds give visitors the opportunity to indulge in a spot of alfresco dining during the hazy summer evenings. In the colder months, the property is turned into a warm and... cosy snug, being heated by storage radiators and an atmospheric wood-burning stove.

Amenities: Electric storage heaters and radiators with woodburner and electric fire in sitting area. Double electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, TV, DVD. Storage heating and first £4 of other electricity inc. in rent with remainder of electricity charged on £1 coin meter. Starter pack for woodburner inc. in rent. Bed linen inc. in rent. Cot and highchair. Ample off road parking. Shared grounds with private patio area, garden furniture and BBQ. One well-behaved pet welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shop and pub 1.5 miles. Note: No fireworks due to the proximity of animals.

Town: Just five miles from the famous town of Windemere, Staveley is truly in the heart of the Lakelands. This charming village is just a stone’s throw from the borders of the Lake District National Park and offers wonderful and scenic opportunities for walkers, cyclists and nature enthusiasts. The village itself is well-served by a number of shops, a trio of pubs and a railway station, offering relaxing rides through the surrounding countryside. Nearby attractions include the famous Lake Windemere, where you can soak up the spectacular panorama from a boat or take a ferry trip to the Lakeside Aquarium or the Grizedale Forest Park. All prices are inclusive of the booking fee. The "Min. Per Night" prices quoted are based on the weekly rental price, they are not applicable for short breaks. See our short break policy or ask for further details.
Winter Short Breaks (WSB) are available at many properties in the "Winter" period - subject to availability. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. Off Season Breaks (OSB) are available at many properties in parts of the "Low" and "Mid" periods - subject to availability. The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday. "Last Minute Breaks" (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the "LOW", "MID", "HIGH", "PEAK", "XMAS" and "NEW YEAR" periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.

  A great little cottage set in beautiful countryside and away from the rush of modern life.If you love peace and traquility plus great walks then this is an ideal place. There is no negativety about the lake district to me it is heaven on earth

  Fine location for Eastern Lakes

  The location is really beautiful and the cottage, though small, is very comfortable. A good place from which to explore the South East of the Lakes.
  We also had brilliant weather which helps.
  The only downside is the fact that this cottage is so near the much larger rental property next door. The people there for our week were fine, but we still felt "outnumbered" at times.

  Gyll bank Cottage, is a lovely little place to stay for a Holiday,Everything was what you needed in it,and the views were great too. so lovely and quiet around, except the Magpie tapping on our Bedroom Window after no doubt a Morsel to find at 4am in morning, frightening myself and Hubby !!! All in all we will be going back in the Future maybe in the Summer time to get the chance to sit out on the Bench with a cuppa/ Wine in the Sun.
