Talkeetna Cottages Moonflower Cabin sits on its own forested acre three miles from the historic village of Talkeetna, AK, and is within walking distance of hiking trails, ski trails, and recreational lakes. The cabin features 562 square feet of comfortable living space with a second floor open bedroom with queen bed and full bath; two twin beds and fully functioning kitchen can be found downstairs. The cabin has Internet and satellite TV, and pets are welcome on a pre-approved basis with an extra fee. In the summer, listen to the birds while enjoying the outdoor fireplace. Coffee and tea provided. Private, quiet, and full of artistic touches.

The Moonflower Cabin is located on a quiet street a short walk from beautiful Christiansen Lake and three miles from the historic village of Talkeetna, Alaska. The cabin sits on its own lot with parking for up to four vehicles, and is short drive and/or reasonable walk from the X-Y Lakes recreation area which offers hiking, fishing, boating, swimming and skiing opportunities.

My boyfriend and I stayed at this cabin for new years, its nice and secluded and very enjoyable. The owner lives next door so payment was convinent.
Comes with everything you need, bathroom, stove, microwave, dishes, fridge, heaters* that really did warm that place up, extra blankets .. etc.
It's a very cosy place for 2, we also had our 2 dogs :)
I would have liked to have curtians downstairs because at night I was paranoid (new place, new town) but we made due with what we had & just hung some blankets up.
Very fun though. Also has Dvds. -

I recently spent time at the Moonflower Cottage in Talkeetna. I was able to bring my dog, Indy, as well. The cottage is roomy enough to spread out, yet cozy on the cold winter evening. The style of the cottage was very unique - everything you could possibly need was available. Lots of room around the cottage to explore in the snow, yet close enough to town and neighbors to feel safe, as I was alone. Loved all of the windows - enjoyed having coffee in the morning. I felt I could see for miles. Can't wait to return - would be great in winter or summer!

We were very presently surprised to find such a wonderful cabin just outside of Talkeetna. I would recommend this cabin to couples and small families with teenagers.

We had a great stay at this cabin! It was cute, cozy, and comfortable! We enjoyed the outdoor fireplace and grill. The location was fantastic-close to Talkeetna yet private. We will defintely be back!

It's hard to say what I liked best about our two nights in the Moonflower Cabin; we found it to be so comfortable and homey, yet charming and "special occasion" as well. The peaceful, not quite in town location was perfect and we enjoyed feeling surrounded by wilderness but only a few miles from down town Talkeetna, and being able to walk to Talkeetna Lake and enjoy the recreation there was a big plus. The service and hospitality were first class and I can honestly recommend this little oasis to anyone who's looking for a clean, comfortable and private setting that's also a great value!
