Welcome to The Paradise Home on Birch Lake. You'll love it here, no sirens, traffic or crowds, just peaceful vista views of the rolling hills, the whispering of pines & white birch, and the lapping of water wait to greet you.
The beautiful lake is just steps away and there's plenty of time to cast a line from the "deck on the water"' or boat off to seclusion `round the bend.
(Row boat and peddle boat are provided with this home.)
Step inside to an airy great room with vaulted beamed ceilings. Picture windows & patio doors frame an expansive view of white birch & shimmering water.

We loved our stay in this wonderful vacation location. So much so that we will indeed be back - perhaps multiple times next year. It's the perfect escape from the city - cozy, private, and comfortable. It was clean, well stocked, and breathtakingly beautiful. We stayed in winter, can't wait to see it in summer.
Thanks for the hospitality. It was a home run experience.

I booked as a bday getaway for my fiance' and few family members .This was my second time coming to Terry and Sally at Birchlake . We had a amazing time it is like the home away from home. We shop for what we need and bring it all there. We went bowling in town ,hiked and relaxed in the hot tub. There are plenty of stores, resturants and even a movie theather close by. Each time I have went Terry has been really helpful and he is flexible. The cabin is always clean everything you are used to having at home is available . Pots, pans, dishes, Wifi ,washer and dryers, grill and a fire pit for roasting marshmallows. He even has 24 hr Maintence on staff in case there are any issues. My biggest thing is they are Clean and affordable especially as a group. I plan to go back in a couple months this time we are bringing the little ones to do some tubing . Everyone that went enjoyed themselves and we cant all wait to get back this time we will be getting the Serenity.

Coralville, IowaGreat weekend getaway for family and friends
Left on 11/27/2012 for a stay in November 2012
The paradise cabin was a great place to meet friends for a weekend of hanging out and relaxing. The house comfortably sleeps 7 but there are 2 sleeper sofas for extra people. Be aware that the mattresses on the sleeper sofas are thin and not very comfortable. My son ended up just using the couch and not pulling it out. The furniture was a little worn but we attributed that to the policy of allowing pets. We appreciated being able to bring a dog along. The cabin was very clean. The hot tub was awesome- in a porch overlooking the lake and plenty big enough for 5 people at a time. The water in the hot tub was clean, and the temperature was adjustable. There is a paddle boat and row boat for each cabin and the kids enjoyed a paddle around the lake. The lake is small and has a beautiful wooded trail around for hiking. The view from the deck was great and plenty of chairs and room. The second bedroom upstairs was very small- only room to walk around it and no room for a suitcase. The bed was too short for my 6'4" husband. The first bedroom upstairs was perfect for kids with a queen bed, twin and a junior bed for a small child. The spiral staircase going to the upstairs was a little narrow and an elderly person might have a problem using it. The only problem we had was the furnace not working correctly but there was a quick response each time I called. It took the maintenance man 3 tries to find the problem. The gas fireplace also did not work and he fixed that. We did get quite chilly when the temperature outdoors dropped drastically the second day but they did respond and the problem was fixed within 4 hours of the first call. The kitchen has almost everything needed except a potato peeler. We successfully cooked a large turkey dinner using a turkey roaster and fed 8 people. Overall it was a nice location, pretty scenery and very enjoyable visit.

I took a day out of my life to just get away and recharge my batteries. This was the right choice for this. The place was comfortable, homelike and beautiful. I left feeling relaxed and carefree.

MilwaukeeWe had a perfect time in "Paradise."

Every year my four sisters and myself get together for a weekend of fun in different cities around Wisconsin. This year we struck gold at the Paradise rental home at Birch Lake Getaways. The home was plenty roomy for the five of us. We loved the fireplace, hot tub and spacious porch. The setting was peaceful, beautiful and private. We watched loons on the lake, listened to coyotes, and greeted two gorgeous sunrises. Reservations and check in were a breeze. Our hosts were gracious and accommodating. The map and accompanying directions were super easy to follow. We were close to Tomah, Sparta, and Warrens for shopping, exploring and provisions. Wildcat Mountain State Park, with its breathtaking views (and hiking trails) was a short drive away. We had a terrific time, and I would recommend this property to any visitors, any time of year.

Close to town, private lake, all the ammenities of a home away from home. We took advantage of the full Birch Lake experience. We enjoyed the hot-tub, the row and paddle boats, campfire and even snuck in a chick flick on the big sceen t.v. Everything was in working order, clean and vacationer-friendly. Thank you Terry for presenting 6 cousins with such a great setting to get together. You can expect a return visit from us without hesitation.

The setting was nice. Use of a paddleboat and rowboat added to our enjoyment. The home itself could have been cleaner. I didn't feel that the cabin had a deep cleaning in some time. The owners were very accomodating, wanting us to have a good time and helped out when it came to car problems when we were leaving. Nice people!

ChicagoThree Days in Paradise
Left on 09/10/2012 for a stay in September 2012
Several months ago my husband and I began our internet search for a lakeside cabin or house that we could rent for a short vacation with our 4 grown up kids. We were nervous since we didn't have any references or recommendations for a property. We are convinced that it was divine intervention that led us to Birchlake in Tomah, WI. We liked the website, talked to Terry, the owner, on the phone, took a deep breath and chose the Paradise Home on this property. Our expectations were not only met, they were exceeded by light years. The house is absolutely beautiful and the lake is simply breathtaking. It is not a big lake, which made us happy. It's quaint and quiet and full of monster Blue Gill and Bass. We all love to fish, catch and release, and we couldn't get enough. When we weren't fishing, we were sitting out on the deck, just taking it all in or walking on the nature trail. At night there are lights on the fishing pier and small lights lining a small waterfall across the lake, which make for nice scenery when sitting around a campfire, roasting marshmallows. There is even a hot tub in the house that was perfect after sitting out in the chilly night air. The owners of this property really know how to provide the perfect setting for a nice, relaxing vacation. We made memories that we will have with us always and we can't thank Terry and his wife enough for that. We will be back next September, for sure. Try it! You'll be amazed.

clifton, njIncredibly relaxing, quiet time for our family.

The property is outstanding, a great place to bring the family for relaxing family time. While some of the furniture is fairly dated, and the water was very cold for august, the overall experience of quiet solitude more than made up for it. The kids had a great time fishing!!! We will come back.

While we didn't stay at the Serenity Bay house, we did stay at Paradise. And I do agree with the previous review that the furnishings aren't all high end, but our family had a great time. We had everything that we needed and after a day or so we were thrilled not to have cell service. Free wi fi is provided and the teenagers were happy with that and were able to stay in contact with friends back home that way. The lake does have some algea on it, but once you get into the middle of hte lake it clears up and even the 17 year old girls I was with enjoyed spending time floating in the water and on the water trampoline. I would say that for the money, especially for Serenity Bay which is a 5 bedroom home, you absolutely get your moneys worth.
