Response from the owner It was lovely to have you and meet for the brief moment! We are glad you enjoyed your stay. We had most of our contact with the friends you travelled with and gave a sizable discount since the house is not yet ready to be rented as separate suites. The portable fans have been replaced- wish we knew while you were here as we have new replacements stored in our bodega. We checked the ceiling fan in the blue room and found that it was at the absolute highest speed which is like an industrial speed! and yes, if used on that speed, is louder than the other speeds! Since this suite is a more budget price compared to our other 2 homes on the reserve, until holidays 2013, it is furnished with basics such as microwave oven, coffee maker, stove, oven, new refrigerator, blender and pots,pans,dishes, bakeware, storage bowls, silverware, drink pitchers and a variety of kitchen tools. We have not furnished it with more detailed items yet such as garlic press mostly because due to our location, they are not available. We have on site cleaning staff had we known there was any desire for additional cleaning, would have absolutely sent them over. This was the first we heard of it. Each weekly guest has a mid week change of linens and complete cleaning so we had no idea the guests would have liked more. We hope that one day you return or don't hesitate to recommend friends or family. We are very glad you enjoyed the bird life. At the Toucan suite level, the birds are literally right at eye sight as they swoop down to TH manicured lawns in search of insects, fruits. And the bird nests abound in the gardens surrounding this home. Bird watching is amazing from either level. We are glad you enjoyed that! This is the newest home in our repertoire of private homes on the reserve so upgrades are in process for 2013. Being the only neighbor we had, when told the owners had to sell, we knew we had to make an offer. Adding Lapa's Song to our repertoire, we have protected the privacy of all our guests since there are no other homes and no neighbors! It allows us to appeal to a wider audience since the house can be rented with either one or both suites. Currently, we are only renting the house entirely until we have had a chance to make it more private between the levels. We don't rent the other suite if you have reserved one of the two. It either stays empty or we are there ourselves. If planning a trip to Costa Rica, please note we have 3 very different homes on the reserve. As we move along in 2013, we are adding more and more items besides basics to the home. By holidays 2013/2014, the house will be more updated and include a pool (holidays 2013). For now, we rent it at a budget price which most guests will find far exceeds their expectations for the price and privacy, proximity to paved roads and easy access to everywhere. Our other home is a more luxury home and the third is a tree house! We'd love to have you at any!
