Description

Welcome to Shangri-la! Our Cloud Room is a unique and luxurious space with Tibetan-Himalayan decor. The walls were done by a master faux painter and gently convey the sense of being in the clouds. Room is equipped with a large desk for your work and a standard size closet for your clothing.

Open up the french doors and step out onto a huge shared deck overlooking a beautifully wooded, large outdoor space. Built in benches provide the perfect spot to post up and sip your morning coffee while you listen to the birds.

Walk through hallways filled with art to find your private room tucked in the back of the house. South facing with windowed french doors, this spacious room is flooded with sunlight!

As you exit your bedroom the bathroom is to the left. Bathroom may be shared if there are other guests.

Quiet, peaceful and full of charm!

We've lived in Virginia Highlands for the last 25 years and we still think it's one of the best places to live and explore Atlanta from! Our home reflects our many years of travel traipsing over 6 continents, with art and artifacts from near and afar. The home functions as both an art gallery, museum and framing shop!

GUEST ACCESS

Guests will have shared access to common areas: kitchen, living room, back deck and front porch. Next to room is a semi-private bathroom.

Since we work from home, we are around a lot of the time. Conversation is always welcome! We do have two rescued parrots that enjoy social interaction for those that chose to interact with them. In the bird room we do have a camera we refer to as "parrot cam". It is important to note that guests who enter this room acknowledge they will also be in the line of site of our parrot cam. This is for the safety of our birds and guests.

HOUSE RULES:

*Treat our property with respect, practice conservation of water and turn off lights when you leave the room. Recycle.

*This is a smoke free environment.

*Please enjoy meals in kitchen or outside deck and do not take food or drink to the bedroom.

*Verified guests only please.

*Upon arrival guests will be asked to provide a copy of valid photo id

*Please do not handle our birds without our presence. Thank you.

Getting around

It is easy to get around the Midtown area on foot, bicycle and buses. Lyft and Ubers are also very easy to use.

Interaction with guest

We both work from home. Scott is a Custom Art Framer. Krista is a Massage Therapist, Yoga & Meditation Instructor. Both of us have studios in our home. Scott's framing studio is on the lower level. Our home in its entirety functions as an art gallery. Guests may schedule a Massage, Yoga or Meditation session with Krista which you may enjoy before/after a long day exploring Virginia-Highland and all that Atlanta has to offer. Since we work from home, we are around a lot of the time. Conversation is always welcome!
