Claytor is an uncrowded, peaceful place to while away a week and spend time with family and the great outdoors.This house is perfect for swimming, fishing, boating and all kinds of lake activity! Or relax and lake gaze while sitting out on the huge dock or one of 3 deck levels. Take a break inside with a 9' pool table, ping pong, a full stand-up arcade and dozens of games for the family.

You will need a car to explore the local area. You can tie up a boat or jetski at our dock. You can rent boats from Claytor Lake State Park. If you have your own boat, the park has a boat launch.

We do not live locally, but we have a housekeeper that is available to solve any maintenance or other issues that arrive. We are happy to recommend local activities, boat rentals, restaurants, etc.

Response from the owner Unfortunately we cannot control when Lowes delivers a new refrigerator, the fact that DirecTV shows weather from the closest major metropolitan area (Washington, DC), or whether a circuit breaker in the house trips. If you had only called to ask I would have been happy to let you know where the breaker box is. Also, it is correct that we do not flood the outside with lots of lighting so as not to disturb the neighbors or the serenity of the cove. We are sorry you did not find things as you expected, but obviously we had no control over most of what you mentioned.
