“Great place to stay for a family travelling to Beijing.” We had a great time in Beijing in September 2012! We arrived at 2.00 am which is late by any standards! The lovely owner was there to meet us at the apartment with the key. An hours drive from the airport (roughly 100 RMB), the apartment is clean and very well stocked with linen and kitchen stuff. A walk down to a plethora of eating places means you rarely have to cook - besides the food is amazing. Great to have ones own place - unlike a hotel - especially with kids - even if ours are not so little any more. I would recommend walking into the nearby Peixin Hotel and grabbing a handful of their cards as we found it a better way to communicate our location to cab drivers! 20 minute walk to the metro station making travelling the city easy. Easy walk to the shops to buy your everyday groceries - Google the chinese characters for things that are urgently needed to circumvent any translation problems. We stayed there for a week. The apartment felt friendly and safe. We would definitely go back to it if we ever return to Beijing. Thank you Jason and Mr. Jiangdong for your kindness and hospitality.

“Good experience” Thank you everyone at East apartments for being so accommodating! We had a great stay in a comfortable, clean and well kept serviced apartment. Before we left for our trip I had heard many a story about the inconveniences and discomfort one can experience in China. This wasn't the case at all. The apartment was in a completely developed area with every amenity we could need (ie: April Gourmet, a ton of restaurants and a huge shopping mall). The apartment itself was spacious with 3 bedrooms and 2 baths. It was clean and stocked with everything we needed. The staff was efficient and informative and was there for any questions we had. The only problem was an unpleasant smell that came from the bathrooms once a day around the same time. Since then we've learned it's due to the specific style of pluming China uses. Overall it was a treat and I would definitely recommend it.

About Beijing

Beijing is known for its exquisite architectural, historical, and cultural offerings, as well as its ancient sites that reside alongside modern-day attractions such as the Olympic Stadium. Many of the elaborate structures throughout the city detail the country's historical wealth. Visitors will also find riches in the arts, entertainment, dining, and shopping opportunities as well. Outdoor and nature enthusiasts will find plenty of activities to enjoy, whether that includes climbing the Great Wall or visiting the pandas in the Beijing Zoo. One of the most popular sights visitors come to see is the Beijing Great Wall. After a long day of touring it, many travelers indulge in a treatment at a Beijing spa to revitalize themselves. After the sun goes down, the Beijing nightlife gets going and there are plenty of dining and entertainment options to choose from as well.

Some of the sights you will definitely want to see include:

  • The Forbidden City: Awe-inspiring to behold, this majestic attraction was the Chinese imperial palace spanning from the Ming Dynasty to the end of the Qing Dynasty. It was the home of emperors and the ceremonial and political center of the government. It currently houses the Palace Museum.
  • Tiananmen Square: Tiananmen Square is a site for parades, rallies, and even demonstrations. The following spectacular structures can be found here: the Great Hall, the National Museum of China, the Monument to the People's Heroes, and Chairman Mao's Mausoleum.
  • The Temple of Heaven: Located in the southern area of the city, this temple has been considered one of the holiest places in the country for over five centuries. In the past, it was utilized as a set of sacrificial structures for Emperors Ming and Qing, created as a royal altar to Heaven, Earth, Sun, Moon, and other gods.
  • The Great Wall: This UNESCO World Heritage site is truly awe-inspiring in size and scope. There are eight sections of it and most are well-preserved.
  • The Beijing Opera: The performances at this world-renowned venue are elaborate and unforgettable. Shows include dancing, singing, dialogue, and acrobatic fighting. The action is stylized and the stories are dramatic interpretations of a variety of characters and their emotions.
  • The Panda House: For animal lovers, a visit to Beijing would not be complete without a journey to the zoo. The highlight for many visitors is of course the Panda House, home to the country's best known and beloved wildlife mascot.

Vacation rentals are a great way to make the most of your time in this incredible country, whether you are on a family vacation, a romantic getaway, or a trip with a large group of friends. Rental options are plentiful in Beijing year round and include apartments downtown as well as luxury villas and condos on the outskirts of the city.

Loved this apartment and loved China

4 of us (2 Adults and 2 boys ages 10 and 9 at the time) stayed here in July last year for a week. The apartment was very clean, had everything you need, is secure and safe. About a 15 / 20 min walk to the train station that takes you everywhere very quickly. We went to the Great Wall, the Forbidden City and a few other places..everything we did we loved, would love to come back to Beijing. Jason and his dad are great hosts and really helped us out when needed. Great Internet. A+++++see more

Enjoyed my stay at east apartments. It was a delightful alternative to staying in a hotel. The location was ideal and close to everything I required for business as well as socializing. My apartment was as described and was not in need of anything. The on site manager, I think his name is Sev was attentive and helped with everything I required. I will definatley plan on staying here again as I visit Beijing approx 2x a year.see more
Nice new two bedroom condo in center beijing city
Very clean and comfortable

The apartment was excellent. It was clean, comfortable, spacious with fully stocked kitchen and laundry facilities. It is located in a gated community with a very nice garden between the buildings. Many stores are at the doorstep. Carrefour is just accross the street. Only about 25 minute walk to the Temple of Heaven and about 15 minute walk to the closest subway station (Ciqikou). From there it is mere minutes to Qianmen, which is the very centre of the the city. Hosts were very helpful and responsive, adjusting to our schedules for arrival and departure.see more
