“Honeymoon in Dreamsicle” My husband and I stayed at Maya Beach Hotel in the Lower Dreamsicle House for our Honeymoon in May. Our experience with Maya Beach Hotel and the staff was outstanding. Our "house" was clean, and private, with beautiful views of the ocean and just steps away from the restaurant. It was so nice to sit on the lower porch and enjoy our coffee and breakfast each morning, and enjoy a cool beverage while sitting on the beach with our feet keeping us cool in the ocean waves. When we wanted to explore the area or take adventures, Ellen and her staff were so helpful and knowledgeable. Martin was always willing to give us our options for activities and help us coordinate our adventures. Without their help and recommendations, we wouldn't have been able to experience the local favorite hot spots or organize our adventures with ease. It was so nice that they coordinated someone to pick us up and drop us off at the airport for our arrival and departure. You can tell they really enjoy what they do, and their passion is unmatched. When we come back to Belize we will definitely stay at Maya Beach Hotel and we recommend it to anyone looking for a beach front relaxing vacation!

“Fabulous beach views, beautiful pool, good amenities, great serv” Aqua Villa is the perfect place to stay if you want to be close-but-not-too-close to busy Placencia. The house has a beautiful pool plus a fabulous ocean view, and we spent many hours lounging on the deck enjoying both. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen well-stocked (even a blender!), the wifi connected, and the a/C worked when we wanted it, but we often just left the windows open to the sea breeze. The living room is tiny but the with the tropical weather, we never stayed indoors. Maid service from the Maya Beach Hotel was excellent. We have stayed at two other resorts in the Placencia area and having "our own" house while still enjoying the services of the Maya Beach Hotel was the best of both worlds. The area is quiet and agua Villa is within walking distance of a grocery store, making it easy to do your own cooking. Cooking your own seafood and eating outside was a highlight. We also tried many wonderful restaurants, and the best restaurant of the week was just steps away, the Maya Beach Hotel Bistro. We had to force ourselves to try other restaurants because the Maya Beach Bistro was so good. We rented a car for other restaurant trips and excursions and found that we were just minutes from Placencia and only an hour or so from the Bocawina zip line experience. The ziplining was amazing and the drive to and from a great way to see a less touristy view of Belize. One day we drove to the ruins and had a terrific lunch at Coleman's Cafe on Main Street in the Toledo district; the food was tasty and the hospitality even better. Agua Villa is a perfect place to get away from it all when you need to, and get to it all when you want to.

“Great beach experience with all the conveniences.” Great location in akumal on the beach. Accommodations were spacious and prices excellent. They have a cook who will deliver meals to your own dinning room at very reasonable costs and the food is very good. The accommodations are not plush but very clean and all of the people who work there are muy simpatico.

“Year # 6” I recently returned from the Riviera Maya and my 6th year stay at Villas DeRosa Resort. In my reasonably priced dive package they included: airport transfers, a comfortable and clean ocean front condo, and an abundance of good food, transportation to the dive sites and some great dive guides. The common areas, pool and beach are safe and clean. The staff is friendly, flexible and willing to help. Planning year #7. dhw

“Just what we're looking for...” My Boyfriend and I were looking for a small intimate place to stay for my Birthday. And we found it at The Villas DeRosa! We stayed in a 1bd beach front condo over looking the amazing ocean below. The service was amazing! The staff is friendly and helpful and the food was fantastic! We love akumal and wouldn't stay anywhere else. Don't let the dirt road off the highway that leads to the resort fool you..it truly is a diamond in the rough. We're looking forward to our next visit.

“You don't have to die to get to heaven” Before my stay at Casa del Perro Feliz, I had never been to the Yucatan peninsula and I found the listing for the house on the internet. As you know, there can be a big difference between the experience promised in the listing and your actual stay. Everything about my 10 days at this fabulous house far exceeded my expectations. The house is spacious and sweet. Maria and Ulises, the caretakers, are dedicated and gracious. The bay is a Caribbean dream. We were there for the Christmas and new year holidays and we almost never even saw our neighbors--which meant we had the whole bay to ourselves. The nearby town of Tulum was exciting and the food was great. There are many things to see in the peninsula but, for us, the most magnificent were the cenotes. Swim in as many of them as you can. There is one 5 minutes walk from the house, but our favorite was the Grand Cenote, a few minutes drive. This was a memorable and rewarding trip for me, my wife and our 3 children. I'm saving up so we can go back.

“Great apartment!!” This place fully met all of our expectations and then some! It was very clean and had everything we possibly needed while visiting playa, from beach towels to bathroom supplies and all the kitchen appliances you could imagine. The cable tv worked great in both bedrooms and we even had hundreds of DVDs if that wasn't enough! The wifi powered three cell phones, a tablet and a laptop without slowing down. We also got as much filtered water as we wanted! The balcony was perfect for that morning cup of coffee while overlooking 26th street. The location was phenomenal and literally a hundred feet from 5th avenue but still in a more quiet part of town, away from the loud clubs so very peaceful! Lots of great restaurants within walking distance! Last thing I'll mention is that the owner, Wendy, was very responsive and helpful!

“Quit Incredible! Best stay of all in Cozumel” This house is really a treat in every way. The rooms are filled with light and air with gardens in view out each window. We spend a week here with a marvelous host named Marco. Not only was the house well equipped with every thing we needed it also offered a feel of serenity not found often in a renal home. The pool is completely private...no need for a swimming suit! We enjoyed the terrace just outside each bedroom. Each room had its own bathroom also. There are 2 bedroom in the main house with the 3rd bedroom offered in a small cottage located on the other side of the pool. The cottage gives a couple or individual real privacy and is just lovely. Marco is such a unique person offering his guest kindness and a real concern for your happiness. He is articulate, well traveled, well read, spirited with zeal for living. One could not find a better friend. He has a real sense of what a traveler needs for a perfect stay. Easy walk to several restaurants and just 2 blocks for the water, very safe feel to this neighborhood also. I for one will come back! I would not hesitate to recommend this home to any one, even those with the most discerning taste and experience.

“Akumal Paradise Rental” We shared this beautiful home with two other families. Even with 6 adults and 7 teenagers, we never felt crowded in Villa Zen del Mar. The home is beautifully decorated and extremely comfortable. Rosa prepared delicious fruit with breakfast every morning, but all of us agreed that Rosa's daily guacamole was the trip favorite! Easy walking distance to the town of Akumal, security and staff on site, chef prepared meals, all made for a perfect vacation! There was something for everyone on this trip! Villa Zen del Mar was everything we could have hoped for and more!

“Paradise in the Mayan Riviera” What a magnificent place! I've rented homes online before and what I saw was not always what I got. This exceeded my expectations in beauty, location, services and comfort. Udi's home is designed to perfection. The staff couldn't be better. Martin is an amazing chef. We will definitely return. It was particularly nice to go in July when we could watch the sea turtles lay their eggs on the beach, but this would be one of my top picks anytime of the year. The bedrooms are all gorgeous and the view from the living room is spectacular. Thank you for giving us the perfect family vacation. It was exactly what we hoped for!

“Even better the pictures/videos portrayed.” Sanda,Steve and the staff were very helpful from start to finish. We absolutely loved the house and would not hesitate to recommend it to friends. It is a beautiful Colonial home, decorated to a high standard and offers total privacy. This was our first visit to Mexico and were unsure what to expect. Merida is a fascinating, safe and friendly City and we will return soon, When we do we will return to Casablanca Living for sure. “Beautiful vacation at Casa de Colores” First off, the home is superb and wonderfully situated at the north end of Half Moon Bay with sweeping views of the water from nearly every room in the house. Great staff and amenities, this home has everything to make your vacation in akumal special and enjoyable. There are a few dining options are within walking distance and everything the town has to offer is only a short bike ride away, however we also loved staying at home to cook on occasion as you can't beat the view! While you can snorkel outside your door in Half Moon Bay, walk to Yal-Ku lagoon, hang out at the main beach in town or take day trips, I think the beauty of Casa De Colores is that you don't feel like you have to leave. Relaxing on the deck or by the pool with a good book is a great way to spend a day. This home would be good for families.

“Wonderful holiday” We had an absolutley wonderful time in this elegant, perfectly located property in the middle of cancun. The house is perfect for a large family such as ours, the staff was very friendly and attentive, the beach is perfect for the kids, the pool and outdoor areas allowed us to enjoy each other in total privacy. The property is on a 24hr security street so we felt safe at all times. All i can say is that the pictures do not do this property justice. Thank you villa albatros for one of the best holididays we have ever had.

“Luxurious, Opulent, Well-maintained--110% satisfied (would go back tmw)” Read all the previous reviews for details--- they are all absolutely accurate. There is even purified water brought in the house and kept in a separate tank for drinking and cooking. Having access to the Reef Hotel and the gym & beach was phenomenal. We played Volleyball everyday at 4pm, then took a quick dip in the ocean. The evenings were spent strolling to town to discover a new restaurant OR simply cooking up something ourselves in the gourmet kitchen at home. The management company and the property owners are extremely responsive and helpful. We ordered the van transfer from Cancun airport (so worth it since as soon as we touched down-- the stress-free vacation began.) You could also take a luxury bus to the center of PDC and then cab over to the Reef Hotel (across the street) -- no worries. We had Maria stock some Coronas and Papaya and other items so the house was ready upon arrival (for a nominal fee). I like to give balanced reviews and have been racking my brain to come up with something at Casa Susana that needs improvement. The only thing I could say is that the Wifi got really slow when 5 people were using it -- no big deal -- get off the internet and get to the beach! You're on vacation! The property is also very safe in Playacar Phase 2 -- a 5 min/$5 cab ride into town. The cabs are constantly available and right on the corner. “Great trip, great accomodations” I stayed along with 5 friends at Casa Ladera for a week in October. The accomodations were great, with close proximity to restaurants, shopping and bars. We traveled to the other side of the island several times, and recommend The asylum, a little restaurant/bar on the South side that sits in the water on a pier. The Fantasy Island Resort is also a fun day trip with facilities, snorkeling, and restaurant. We found the house to be roomy, comfortable, and conveniently located. Rogers
