Crescendo at Big White: an Executive Rental of Unparalleled Excellence

Big White house

6 bedrooms / 5 bathrooms / sleeps 16

“Amazing Place for a Wedding!” Crescendo was the perfect place for our wedding, which we held just before Big White opened for its ski season. All of our guests just raved about the beautiful setting and about the spectacular chalet. We had over 80 guests throughout the chalet, with room to have invited a few more. The ceremony was beautiful in the Grande Room, with the picturesque view of the Monashees in the background. Everything went extremely smoothly thanks to the caretaker. The caterers were clearly at home with Crescendo’s large commercial Kitchen for preparing the food. The Media Room, with its separate bar area, was perfect for serving refreshments, and we were able to stream our personalized slide show to the big screen in that room. There was ample space for everyone to mingle and dance throughout the night, and oh did we dance! With the ceremony, the reception, and the accommodation all under the same roof, Crescendo was the perfect place to have our all-in-one event. Crescendo helped us to create the stylish, yet intimate, atmosphere we had wanted, resulting in our special day being even more elegant and beautiful than we had hoped. All of our guests and families just loved Crescendo. What more can I say? We highly recommend Crescendo for anyone looking for a special and unique setting for a wedding, or for just about any celebration. We will have fond memories of this chalet for the rest of our lives. Krista and Cal

“Spring Skiing in January” We had wonderful four days of skiing up at Big White this past January and enjoyed coming back to our luxury Treetops Condo. The condo was spacious, beautifully decorated and had an amazing kitchen. We enjoyed the heated floors in the bathrooms and appreciated the in-house washer dryer facilities with storage everywhere you turned. The kids loved the loft off the kitchen. It was a great stay and weekend.

About Big White

Big White, British Columbia

It's big and it's white. What more could you want for your next skiing destination?

With perfect powder, and a range of runs, you'll never want to go anywhere else! Especially when you see the gorgeous FlipKey properties on offer, from cozy chalets to luxurious apartments, we have it all. Some are even ski-in-ski-out so you don't need to waste any time getting to the slopes!

About Big White

Just outside of Kelowna is Big White Mountain. It has the highest point in the Okanagan Highland and one day in 1963, one clever guy decided to open the Big White Ski Resort on it.

Luckily for winter-sports fans, it's grown a bit since then. No longer is it just one T-bar lift, there are 16 chairs, gondolas and Ts for you to choose from.

There are 118 runs to try while you're at Big White. There's not much for beginners, but there's plenty if you know your way around a red slope! Intermediates will find plenty to do here.

If you're being dragged along by your friends, but have never skied or snowboarded before, don't worry. There's over 200 qualified instructors at this resort, so they'll be able to get you down the mountain (or to the bar) without any trouble at all.

What to do

The downhill and backcountry skiing is out of this world and the deep gullies mean snowboarders are in for an excellent time, too.

There are plenty of opportunities to indulge in some apres ski fun – bars, restaurants and pubs line the mountains.

If you want a day off from the slopes, take the family out on a snowmobile tour, or, even better, try dog sledding! It's great fun – especially if you've left your own pooch at home!

Try ice skating at the Olympic sized outdoor rink, and take your camera as the views are fantastic!

If you haven't tried it before, go night skiing. One section of Big White is western Canada's largest night skiing area, so there's no better place to try it.

Top Big White travel tips

Take advantage of the shopping shuttles to Kelowna for groceries, souvenirs and more. There are tours of the famous wineries too, so don't miss out!

Big White is host to lots of family-themed events, so find out what's going on during your stay by going to the local visitor center – they may even be able to get you a discount!

It sounds obvious, but it's cold up in the mountains so bring plenty of thermals and sweaters.

Your waiters and waitresses will expect a tip. 10-15% is fine.

Big White is one of the top snow sports destinations in Canada. Pick your perfect place to stay with FlipKey, then start planning your best vacation ever!

The Bellevarde Chalet Unit C at Big White Resort
Great stay at the Bellevarde Chalet

With stayed at the chalet with our friends and 3 kids. The location of the place was great: some 10 min skiing or 3 min driving to the lifts! The unit itself was perfect: very clean, cozy, yet spacious, tastefully decorated for the ski season and with a great view onto the mountains and the valley. It was generously equipped with everything you need to have a hassle free stay: from tin foil in the kitchen drawers to fabric softener in the laundry. After a day of skiing, then soaking in a hot tub, we had the most restful sleeps in the very comfortable beds. The owner, Ed, communicated with us promptly and assisted with some minor hick-ups during the booking. Checking in and out was a breeze. All the instructions, one might need during their stay, were clearly written. It was truly sad to leave this place, but we hope we come back again next seasonsee more

Perfect spot for a family gathering

There were no surprises, we were given the info we required to make our stay very pleasant. Wonderful spot, couldn't be any more convenient to ski in/out, very clean, organized, kitchen well equipped, roomy and comfortable. … see more
The Bellevarde Chalet Unit D at Big White Resort
Charming Chalet

Communication and email response from the owner were prompt and concise; property was extremely clean and well-maintained; items stocked in the kitchen were superior to most rental properties; keyless entry was extremely convenient; information provided about the area and amenities was thorough and useful; the plethora of beds available was greatly appreciated. Our only suggestion would be implementation of, or clear explanation on how to achieve a comfortable temperature in the loft. Even with the thermostat turned all the way down, heat continued through the night making it unbearably hot in the loft (though the mattress was extremely comfortable!).see more

Couldn't ask for anything better

I stayed here for the May long weekend for a bachelor party and then tacked on another couple nights with my significant other for the start of our Okanogan holiday. For both occasions, this facility was absolutely perfect. It accommodated 12 buddies easily, with lots of use of the kitchen, movie theater, hot tub, and plenty of important 'board meetings' at the giant dining table. After that, it was an amazingly luxurious couples experience, it was almost a challenge to make use of everything available. Although the winter season is prime time for a place like this, if you're looking for privacy and no concern about bothering neighbours, the shoulder season (spring and fall) can't be beat. This was by far the best place at big white (and arguably Canada) for accommodating groups of friends, large families, or discerning couples for an unforgettable holiday experience.see more

Clean, spacious and welcoming

This was a wonderful place to stay in Big White! We traveled with 4 small children and 3 adults. We skied into the village or walked. The kids loved the atmosphere and the place was big enough for all of us - with some to spare. 2 rooms off the entrance with bunk beds (1 double and single in each room), walk up the stairs and there is a full bathroom, then the living space which was welcoming and nicely decorated. A loft with a double bed (climb up with a ladder), and a very large master bedroom with en-suite. The kitchen had everything we needed with convenient washer and dryer for bathing suites and wet socks. Nicely maintained hot tub. We found the amenities fit all our needs and the place was clean. Having a cleaning service was perfect so all I had to do was pack up and leave. There was even a bottle of champagne there for us to start our trip off when we arrived. I would definitely recommend this place.see more
