Buenos Aires apartment

2 bedrooms / 2 bathrooms / sleeps 4

“The location and the accomodations fit our needs and desires per” This loft is in the perfect location for tourists visiting Buenos aires. Palermo Soho is a wonderful neighborhood, with loads of great restaurants and bars within walking distance of the loft. There are 2 bedrooms (and 1 "office" with a futon) and 2 full bathrooms in the loft, easily accomodating my wife and me, plus our 2 adult (ages 23 and 27) sons. The air conditioning cools off the loft quickly and easily (we were there in the middle of their Summer). The neighborhood feels safe for strolling, even very late in the evening. The nearest subway ("subte") stop, Scalabrini Ortiz, is a short walk away, and plenty of cabs can be hailed nearby for trips to other neighborhoods. Also, the Zoo and the Botanical garden are within walking distance also.

Buenos Aires apartment

“A small but elegant apartment for two in the heart of Buenos ari” It's not necessary for us to repeat the superlatives written by earlier clients since all are accurate. This apartment is a good value, well maintained, safe and centrally located. In addition, it has many restaurants near and is also close to the subway with cheap taxis always available at the street. My wife has somewhat limited mobility and the apartment was ideal for us: small but well appointed with all the necessary amenities.

Cozy Studio In The Heart Of Palermo

Buenos Aires apartment

/ 1 bathroom / sleeps 2

“Convenient to everything and safe” We rented the studio for nine days in early September. Silvia, the owner, was super accommodating to our needs and provided services beyond our expectations. She showed us how to use the bus system on the internet and answered questions in a prompt fashion. The location of the studio is very convenient and safe, one block to bus station and seven blocks to subway, and there are a lot of restaurants around. It always surprised us when we explored around the neighborhood. Several cafés and restaurants with live music, almost on a daily basis. The kitchen is well-equipped, the Wi-Fi is fast and reliable. We felt like home when we stayed in Silvia's studio.

Buenos Aires apartment

“Perfect apartment with amazing Hosts” Our family of four (2 adults, 2 young kids) stayed in this apartment for 2.5 weeks and loved it.  Two bedrooms meant that my kids could sleep in one room, while my husband and I could stay up and work in the living, or sleep in our own bedroom.  The small room had a choice of two twin beds, or a twin bed and a pack-and-play.  Both bedrooms came equipped with black out shutters so my kids would not wake up with the sun.   The kitchen is cozy with a large fridge to hold all your basic needs.  It has good use of space, and all the pots and utensils you need to make some basic meals.  The living room has a couch, desk and TV.  And we had enough space to allow my kids to spread out all there toys every morning.   Right outside the apartment you have an amazing ice cream (Lucca), a fantastic restaurant (Vicente), a great little laundry, a corner convenience store, and within two blocks a Carrefour for groceries and a nice coffee shop.  In addition you are a block from the train, and within several bus lines that take you almost anywhere in the city. By far, the best part of the apartment are the hosts.  They are always willing to help.  Paola and Sergio actually saved our trip.  When my husband, an avid photographer, realized he left his camera battery charger at home and no camera store in Buenos aires had one, they came to the rescue finding one on a local eBay-like site, and went and picked it up outside the city for us, and delivered it the day my husbands last camera battery died.  They also helped us find a travel agent for our Iguazu Falls trip, book a Tango show, and when the sitter she suggested couldn't make it, Paola stepped in to take care of our kids. This kind of service is rare if not unheard of. They have set the bar very high for future trips.  But then we loved the country so we envision more trips to this wonderful city and I will for sure return to this apartment and very sincerely recommend this place for fellow tourists.

About Buenos Aires

The undeniably urban capital of Argentina, Buenos Aires is a lively and romantic city. Buenos Aires is well known for its majestic architecture, constructed in an incredible range of styles. In addition to the Spanish colonial architecture, the city is filled with spectacular 20th century Beaux Arts buildings, Baroque churches, and unique modern structures. When you arrive in Argentina, book a guided tour to get an introduction to the city's history and character. Though more affordable than other cities of its caliber, Buenos Aires is highly sophisticated and cosmopolitan. For a day on the town, there are tons of designer boutiques, galleries, casual bistros, and gourmet restaurants in the city's central neighborhoods. Shopping is a major pastime for both locals and tourists, as Buenos Aires is home to some of Latin America's most famous designers and artists.

When it comes to food, Argentina is famous for its delicious cuts of beef, with cattle raised extensively on the great plains of The Pampas. The city of Buenos Aires offers plenty of opportunities for those who'd like to sample traditional Argentinean food, though you'll also find a range of restaurants from different cultures and ethnic traditions.

The spring season, from September to November, is an excellent time to plan your trip, when the weather is mild and there are many festivals and events in Buenos Aires. If you want to get a feel for local culture, consider attending one of Argentina's famous soccer matches or spend a night getting to know the tango clubs that litter the city center.

When visiting Buenos Aires, check out the following sights:

  • Casa Rosada: Argentina's famous pink Presidential Palace adjoins the pretty Plaza de Mayo.
  • Museo Evita: This small but interesting museum chronicles the life of Eva Peron, Argentina's famous first lady from the 1940s.
  • Metropolitan Cathedral: Buenos Aires's unusual cathedral is a mix of architectural styles, from its distinct neo-classical facade to the neo-Baroque altarpieces inside.
  • Museo de Arte Latinoamericano de Buenos Aires: Housed in a wonderful, modern building, this influential museum contains a fine collection of 19th and 20th century Latin American art.
  • Plaza Dorrego: This is the oldest public square in town, located in the historic San Telmo neighborhood.
  • Parque Tres de Febrero: This large and beautiful urban park contains several well-tended gardens, a planetarium, and a museum.

There are many fabulous vacation rentals available in Buenos Aires. For something fun, consider an apartment or condo in the Palermo neighborhood near the city center. For those who would prefer a posh villa or luxury home, consider booking something in the upscale Recoleta neighborhood.

Live like a porteno - 'home away from home' with everything you'

My husband and I had a fantastic stay at this lovely apartment and would recommend it to anyone wanting to have a 'home away from home' base with some peace and quiet whilst exploring Ba! The apartment has everything you'll ever need from well equipped kitchenette, toiletries, information on sights, computer / mobile phone you can use to even tango shoes! In comparison to the traditional B&B;, we particularly enjoyed the freedom of having an apartment where we could enjoy our breakfast (that the hostess, Rachel had stocked up) whenever we wanted. Having Rachel at hand when we needed local knowledge (she lives near by) was also invaluable as first time visitors to Ba - not to mention getting insight into the things such as the Ba way of living - things you don't find in the guidebooks!see more
AMAZING DUPLEX IN PALERMO 26th floor swimming pool
Great apartment, Great Location, Great Building and amenities

We stayed here for a week Christmas 2013. After seeing numerous apartments for rent online, we decided on this flat in Palermo Hollywood. We are glad we did because going through Flipkey gave us a good measure of control over the deposit and the process of renting and going through the owner, Andrea Grosso, gave us a friend on the ground in Ba. The apartment is located in one of the most interesting and best located neighborhoods in Ba, and it scores at the top of the walkability scale with numerous top-rated restaurants and shops. The building is a new highrise with 24-7 security -- although we felt very safe walking around the neighborhood at all hours. Because of the quality of the building and being on the 14th floor sound from other units and from the street is negligible. Being a corner unit really makes a difference. It has large floor-to-ceiling windows with light-blocking shades. The kitchen is fully equipped with quality appliances and a full size refrigerator. Up the spiral staircase is a comfortable king size bed with built-in storage system with plenty of storage and a full size bathroom. Air conditioners on both levels ensured our comfort 24/7. She also has reliable wifi (Internet access) from every spot in the apartment. One of the best things was the huge balcony with table and chairs and great views of sunrise an sunset. We especially enjoyed the pool area downstairs and green-space around it. It was a nice get away from the big city. Andrea was responsive and is better than other renting options because you are dealing directly with an owner that cares about her renters' experience. She sends a wonderful email with a detailed list of her favorite restaurants, key activities and points of interest, how to access public transportation and more. The apartment was fully stocked with bed linens, towels, soaps, hair dryer, a good iron and ironing board, etc. Her English is perfect. Thank you, Andrea, for truly making our visit so wonderful!see more

The views of the city from this building make your stay so much more interesting because the sky is so different every night. The apartment is great. Furnishings are modern and well cared for. The location is perfect for public transport, with Plaza Italia transportation hub within two blocks. Walking distance to Plaza Serrano and all that activity. It's Palermo.see more
Perfect French style Recoleta studio: balcony/WiFi
Cosy Recoleta

I really enjoyed my stay in Buenos aires thanks to the great hospitality of Christine Taylor. She is very dedicated to the comfort of her guests and has a list of personal recommendations of things to do and places to eat all within close proximity to the apartment. The apartment is really close to restaurants and many shops. It's ideal for walking and though I had my phone stolen while out clubbing, not once did I feel unsafe walking in Recoleta, especially around the apartment. You walk out onto the street and can easily get a cab, or take a leisurely walk to my favourite ice-cream place, Persicco. It's also within walking distances of places of interest, such as the cemetary, museums etc. As for the apartment, I was never without any sleep because of noise, even though it's on the road. Because there is so much within close proximity to see and do, I hardly spent much time in the apartment. I don't own a television so this was not an issue for me, but I would imagine for someone who might have some obsession with television, this might not be an ideal place. But with so much to do, I don't imagine there'd be much time for television. It is really as it appears in the photos.see more

We had a great stay at the apartment! Dave and his family thinks of everything. It's a great neighborhood with lots of restaurants and we made good use of the rooftop pool in the heat! At night it was great to sit on the deck with a glass of wine. Thanks again! … see more
