Buenos Aires apartment

2 bedrooms / 2 bathrooms / sleeps 4

“The location and the accomodations fit our needs and desires per” This loft is in the perfect location for tourists visiting Buenos aires. Palermo Soho is a wonderful neighborhood, with loads of great restaurants and bars within walking distance of the loft. There are 2 bedrooms (and 1 "office" with a futon) and 2 full bathrooms in the loft, easily accomodating my wife and me, plus our 2 adult (ages 23 and 27) sons. The air conditioning cools off the loft quickly and easily (we were there in the middle of their Summer). The neighborhood feels safe for strolling, even very late in the evening. The nearest subway ("subte") stop, Scalabrini Ortiz, is a short walk away, and plenty of cabs can be hailed nearby for trips to other neighborhoods. Also, the Zoo and the Botanical garden are within walking distance also.

“excellent apartment” Y would like to stress the very convenient location, the light and the silence of this apartment. But most of all it has every thing one needs and it is extremely neat and clean. Finally the security is excellent. Maria LL de Benegas Lynch

“Home away from home” We had a great stay at the apartment! Dave and his family thinks of everything. It's a great neighborhood with lots of restaurants and we made good use of the rooftop pool in the heat! At night it was great to sit on the deck with a glass of wine. Thanks again!

Cozy Studio In The Heart Of Palermo

“Convenient to everything and safe” We rented the studio for nine days in early September. Silvia, the owner, was super accommodating to our needs and provided services beyond our expectations. She showed us how to use the bus system on the internet and answered questions in a prompt fashion. The location of the studio is very convenient and safe, one block to bus station and seven blocks to subway, and there are a lot of restaurants around. It always surprised us when we explored around the neighborhood. Several cafés and restaurants with live music, almost on a daily basis. The kitchen is well-equipped, the Wi-Fi is fast and reliable. We felt like home when we stayed in Silvia's studio.

“Perfect apartment with amazing Hosts” Our family of four (2 adults, 2 young kids) stayed in this apartment for 2.5 weeks and loved it.  Two bedrooms meant that my kids could sleep in one room, while my husband and I could stay up and work in the living, or sleep in our own bedroom.  The small room had a choice of two twin beds, or a twin bed and a pack-and-play.  Both bedrooms came equipped with black out shutters so my kids would not wake up with the sun.   The kitchen is cozy with a large fridge to hold all your basic needs.  It has good use of space, and all the pots and utensils you need to make some basic meals.  The living room has a couch, desk and TV.  And we had enough space to allow my kids to spread out all there toys every morning.   Right outside the apartment you have an amazing ice cream (Lucca), a fantastic restaurant (Vicente), a great little laundry, a corner convenience store, and within two blocks a Carrefour for groceries and a nice coffee shop.  In addition you are a block from the train, and within several bus lines that take you almost anywhere in the city. By far, the best part of the apartment are the hosts.  They are always willing to help.  Paola and Sergio actually saved our trip.  When my husband, an avid photographer, realized he left his camera battery charger at home and no camera store in Buenos aires had one, they came to the rescue finding one on a local eBay-like site, and went and picked it up outside the city for us, and delivered it the day my husbands last camera battery died.  They also helped us find a travel agent for our Iguazu Falls trip, book a Tango show, and when the sitter she suggested couldn't make it, Paola stepped in to take care of our kids. This kind of service is rare if not unheard of. They have set the bar very high for future trips.  But then we loved the country so we envision more trips to this wonderful city and I will for sure return to this apartment and very sincerely recommend this place for fellow tourists.

“Excellent apartment and Excellent Location” Great apartment - clean, comfortable and modern - excellent location in the heart of Old Palermo. All the communal facilities were great (including a great roof terrace, nice swimming pool to cool down in during the hot summer days and a mini-gym for a work out). Juan added some nice touches to the apartment e.g. plenty of towels and toiletries, and was willing to help with any questions or queries at any time. A perfect host!

About Buenos Aires

The undeniably urban capital of Argentina, Buenos Aires is a lively and romantic city. Buenos Aires is well known for its majestic architecture, constructed in an incredible range of styles. In addition to the Spanish colonial architecture, the city is filled with spectacular 20th century Beaux Arts buildings, Baroque churches, and unique modern structures. When you arrive in Argentina, book a guided tour to get an introduction to the city's history and character. Though more affordable than other cities of its caliber, Buenos Aires is highly sophisticated and cosmopolitan. For a day on the town, there are tons of designer boutiques, galleries, casual bistros, and gourmet restaurants in the city's central neighborhoods. Shopping is a major pastime for both locals and tourists, as Buenos Aires is home to some of Latin America's most famous designers and artists.

When it comes to food, Argentina is famous for its delicious cuts of beef, with cattle raised extensively on the great plains of The Pampas. The city of Buenos Aires offers plenty of opportunities for those who'd like to sample traditional Argentinean food, though you'll also find a range of restaurants from different cultures and ethnic traditions.

The spring season, from September to November, is an excellent time to plan your trip, when the weather is mild and there are many festivals and events in Buenos Aires. If you want to get a feel for local culture, consider attending one of Argentina's famous soccer matches or spend a night getting to know the tango clubs that litter the city center.

When visiting Buenos Aires, check out the following sights:

  • Casa Rosada: Argentina's famous pink Presidential Palace adjoins the pretty Plaza de Mayo.
  • Museo Evita: This small but interesting museum chronicles the life of Eva Peron, Argentina's famous first lady from the 1940s.
  • Metropolitan Cathedral: Buenos Aires's unusual cathedral is a mix of architectural styles, from its distinct neo-classical facade to the neo-Baroque altarpieces inside.
  • Museo de Arte Latinoamericano de Buenos Aires: Housed in a wonderful, modern building, this influential museum contains a fine collection of 19th and 20th century Latin American art.
  • Plaza Dorrego: This is the oldest public square in town, located in the historic San Telmo neighborhood.
  • Parque Tres de Febrero: This large and beautiful urban park contains several well-tended gardens, a planetarium, and a museum.

There are many fabulous vacation rentals available in Buenos Aires. For something fun, consider an apartment or condo in the Palermo neighborhood near the city center. For those who would prefer a posh villa or luxury home, consider booking something in the upscale Recoleta neighborhood.

Recoleta with History & Elegance (2,200 Sq Feet)
A great Location and great apartment

This was our 5th trip to Buenos aires(Ba) and our third apartment. We have always stayed in Recoleta. This apartment was in the best location and was perfect for us. We are a couple in our late 60's. The apartment is as described. It was very traditional and upscale. The kitchen had all the amenities we wanted. The living room was spacious and the balcony was big enough to see all the street sights while standing with a glass of wine. Lane loved the foyer and and we sat there each night with cheese and wine before going to dinner. The vanity off the foyer was very convenient The master bedroom was spacious and the master bathroom was very big with a separate room for the toilet and bidet. The shower was also separate and had great water pressure. A double sink with much counter space and a walk in closet made it even better, all tile and marble by the way. The 2nd bedroom is better suited for kids than us in that it is up a steep flight of stairs and has a low entrance. We did not use it and did not need it but it has it's own good size bath. Marcela, who greeted us with flowers and wine, was very helpful and knowledgeable and would have been more so, I'm sure, if we weren't so familiar with Ba ourselves. She is definitely the best looking manager in Ba. She arranged for our transportation to and from the airport with Ernesto which was flawless. There are wine stores, cheese shops and pastry shops in the neighborhood and a small restaurant with outdoor tables right outside the door. A grocery is right around the corner. If you like the sounds of the city, which we do, they are there but they go away as soon as you close the doors. Los Pinos on French is our favorite local restaurant and a new upscale one, El Burladero on Uriburu, was terrific. We were thinking this was our last trip to Ba but based on this experience we plan now to return. If we return by ourselves we will rent here again definitely. We highly recommend it.see more
Art & Comfort in the heart of Recoleta
Lovely apartment in a lovely neighborhood

This apartment has two very comfortable bedrooms, a lovely living/ dining room (with a/C) with a balcony, a full service kitchen, a washing machine and two bathrooms. The neighborhood is lovely and full of amenities. There is a park a block away, and a lovely church, right off the park. There is a large grocery store 2 blocks away. It is within easy walking distance to Recoleta Cemetery and there are restaurants and a shopping mall right near the cemetery. The neighborhood is filled with places to shop. The building has an elevator and there is someone stationed in the lobby at all times. Jorge is lovely and met us to get us oriented to the apartment. He provided a local cell phone that we could use while in Ba. He also provided a map which was invaluable. If I needed anything, I felt that Jorge would be there to assist. Thankfully, I had no issues. I would stay here again if I am lucky enough to visit Buenos aires again. (no need to add my own pictures as all pictures provided with the listing are a perfect representation of the apartment)see more
AMAZING DUPLEX IN PALERMO 26th floor swimming pool
Great apartment, Great Location, Great Building and amenities

We stayed here for a week Christmas 2013. After seeing numerous apartments for rent online, we decided on this flat in Palermo Hollywood. We are glad we did because going through Flipkey gave us a good measure of control over the deposit and the process of renting and going through the owner, Andrea Grosso, gave us a friend on the ground in Ba. The apartment is located in one of the most interesting and best located neighborhoods in Ba, and it scores at the top of the walkability scale with numerous top-rated restaurants and shops. The building is a new highrise with 24-7 security -- although we felt very safe walking around the neighborhood at all hours. Because of the quality of the building and being on the 14th floor sound from other units and from the street is negligible. Being a corner unit really makes a difference. It has large floor-to-ceiling windows with light-blocking shades. The kitchen is fully equipped with quality appliances and a full size refrigerator. Up the spiral staircase is a comfortable king size bed with built-in storage system with plenty of storage and a full size bathroom. Air conditioners on both levels ensured our comfort 24/7. She also has reliable wifi (Internet access) from every spot in the apartment. One of the best things was the huge balcony with table and chairs and great views of sunrise an sunset. We especially enjoyed the pool area downstairs and green-space around it. It was a nice get away from the big city. Andrea was responsive and is better than other renting options because you are dealing directly with an owner that cares about her renters' experience. She sends a wonderful email with a detailed list of her favorite restaurants, key activities and points of interest, how to access public transportation and more. The apartment was fully stocked with bed linens, towels, soaps, hair dryer, a good iron and ironing board, etc. Her English is perfect. Thank you, Andrea, for truly making our visit so wonderful!see more
Studio in Las Cañitas
The great comfort at the studio.

When I woke up in the morning at the studio, the first thing I did was to open the curtain of the big window beside the bed. I went back to the bed and enjoyed seeing trees in the window. I watched often birds singing a song there. This is a moment of Las Canitas, the residential area in B.A., a bit away from busy streets. When I came back to the studio at night, I put myself in the hot water of big tub in the beautiful bathroom. I stayed there for a while to feel relaxed. What I wanted to do in B.A. was to visit as much as possible places where local peoples love to visit, trying to stay away from the places where most tourists go. The owner of studio gave me the ideas of places she knew. The Tango show, the concert at Teatro Colon, and the play of Fuerza Bruta were fantastic. The tickets for these were arranged and were handed over to me by her. I stayed in this comfortable studio for about four weeks. Every moment at the studio is just not forgettable.see more

Perfect French style Recoleta studio: balcony/WiFi
Lovely, Light and Comfortable Retreat

This studio apartment comes equipped with everything you could need for a short or a long stay. On top of that it's decorated with grace and simplicity. As others have said, the bonus of staying here is the owner Christine. She made it easy for us to check in and left us a bottle of wine upon our arrival. She walked me around the neighbourhood to point out her recommended shops and left a long list of tips on getting to know the city and the neighbourhood. We loved Recoleta and all the recommendations she makes.see more
