“An unforgettable experience!” Chiara was the perfect host. She met us at the dock, walked us to the apartment and gave detailed instructions on how to best enjoy her native city. “You will love it!!” From start to finish it was a pleasure! Not only was Marc wonderful to deal with during the booking process, we had alternate contact details for his mother and the housekeeper to ensure we were well looked after. The apartment was wonderful. Marc's fantastic instructions and suggestion to get a water taxi from Venice airport (where we left our vehicle) was well received and we were dropped virtually at the front door. There is one flight of stairs up to the apartment (which is above a restaurant), and easy to manage - and the apartment itself was absolutely charming! Gorgeous kitchen and bathroom and the bed in the master bedroom made us feel like royalty! The position was wonderful because it was away from the crowds - but still an easy walk to St Marks and fantastic restaurants and shops. We loved looking out our window and watching the comings and goings of the canal - it made us feel like locals and not so much as tourists. Thanks also for the lovely welcome pack of bread, spreads, drinks, prosecco - it was glorious. I would highly recommend this apartment - and I would love to return (3 nights was definitely not enough!!!).
