“The most colourful place in Cusco!” We had the pleasure of staying at Chaskana Guesthouse in Sencca high on the hill above Cusco. You can't miss it, it is brightly painted and looks fabulous. It's unusual to see lawn in Cusco, other than the main square, but you have it at Chaskana out in front of the sunroom. Upstairs are cosy bedrooms with views over the valley. Downstairs is kitchen and family room looking out over the garden. Whilst in the privacy of your own yard you still get to see out and the locals playing soccer across the road or setting out on their way to and from work in the fields each day. Yom and Rachel have put a lot of effort into their gorgeous little guesthouse. We loved our visit. Linda and Vance

“Energy thing Just Right” After staying in a couple other Cuzco apartments that were very disappointing, we really enjoyed our time here. The apartment is very close to the main tourist square which makes getting around quite easy. We tend to eat breakfast at home then go out for dinner, so only use the kitchen a little. Lots of good restaurants within walking distance as well as a few small stores for basic supplies. The apartment itself is spacious and well stocked with all you need for cooking at home. The ability to do laundry after hiking the Inca Trail was a welcome surprise! The beds are comfortable, the water hot and the facilities clean. The reservation process was smooth and check-in and check-out a breeze - what more could you ask for? Highly recommend if you are staying in Cuzco and want to be near the Plaza de armas.

“una experiencia inolvidable, queremos regresar pronto!” Cusco Villas nos dio muchos días de inmensa tranquilidad. Logramos conectarnos con la naturaleza y contemplar maravillosa vegetación y escuchar el susurro del río. Además estuvimos muy complacidos con la excelente atención en la casa, la comodidad de las camas, el calor de la chimenea y la rica comida. Cada detalle de la casa, dentro y fuera, ha sido cuidado al minimo detalle, las fotos no hacen justicia! Todo es mucho mas bello, tienen que ir a ver la casona y la naturaleza con sus propios ojos y les aseguro, que al igual que nosotros, van a querer regresar pronto. About Cusco, Peru
Sitting at an altitude of around 11,200 feet in the Andes Mountain Range, Cusco is a city that makes an impression. It was under control of the Peruvian Incas until the 16th century, when it was colonized by the Spanish. The beautiful Baroque cathedral in Plaza de Armas is a particularly striking example of the latter's architecture.

What to do in Cusco

The most popular include Machu Picchu (one of the New Seven Wonders of the World), Sacsayhuaman, Pisca and Ollantaytambo, the Salt Mines of Maras and Tambomachay, above the city.
Once you've returned from your many Inca trips, sit down and sip on a Pisco Sour and, if you’re brave enough, consider trying out the local delicacies—roast guinea pig or alpaca.
Spend a day haggling at the artisan markets—Chinchero and Pisac are two of the most impressive. You're bound to find a souvenir or two here!
