“Quiet, comfortable, delicious, interesting and easy!” Quiet, tho we watched a movie and enjoyed the creek flow sounds; comfortable and pretty indoors and out; delicious organic goodies from the garden with tour; interesting to see and learn about the eco architecture; and super easy staying in or going to Bryson City or asheville. “Super will go again” Annual get together that has been to several places on Smith Mtn Lake with this being rated at the top. This was spacious and comfortable with a great screened in porch that had super view of lake and plenty of room to accommodate all of our group. Plenty of dishes and accessories in the kitchen to cook and prepare whatever we wanted. With 5 bedrooms there is lots of sleep spots and privacy. Will go again.

“A peaceful place to stay” The cabin was a great place to have as our base camp while exploring the area. Even with the rain, we were able to enjoy the hot tub & sit out on the deck. All we did was bring some food & everything else was available at the cabin. The scenery was beautiful!

“Great Tradition” We just returned from our third college retreat at Moose Hollow Lodge and could not ask for a better experience. The location is convenient yet secluded and serene. The lodge itself is comfortable and provides so much for entertainment, that several of our group never ventured out of the cabin- who needs go carts when you have Ms. Pacman! Not only was the lodge wonderful, but the staff was great and understanding. I recommend Moose Hollow to groups and will definitely be returning next winter.

“Perfect Trip!” We did not travel far from where we are from, but we felt like we had escaped to the most beautiful part of the middle of nowhere. Everything you forgot or might have forgotten was available, and the six of us (8 one night) slept completely comfortably. We have already inquired about returning in summers and winters to come. We were secluded, and the yard was perfect for our endless bocce ball games. Very worth it!

“Book It!” What a great place, very clean, convenient to many attractions around you, and all the amenities thought of. The layout is nice, the back deck and hot tub were a favorite spot, and the kitchen had everything you could think of, you could've baked a cake if you wanted to. Annette and Mark were very accommodating throughout the trip, were always available, and very thorough and upfront with all information provided about the house and the area. We honestly felt like we had travel planners on our side. Thank you very much, great people! We will be back for sure!

“Relaxing and rejuvinating” My husband, six month old daughter and I spent the weekend here in May. It was outstanding. Kendall, the owner, was warm and welcoming from the minute we stepped out of the car. She provided us with maps of her property, which you can hike and explore. We especially enjoyed the koi pond and just sitting on the porch swing. The views are amazing from the porch and deck. The cabin is in Fairview, NC which is about 20 minutes away from Asheville. It is the perfect location, far enough away to feel as if you are the only ones around, but close enough to downtown to run in for dinner. You don't have to, however, because there is a restaurant, The Local Joint, about 5 minutes away. They have a variety of local food and organic entrees. Excellent. Kendall is a licensed massage therapist and yoga instructor. We were able to get massages for both my husband and myself, which were fantastic. I also opted to take a private yoga lesson, which was awesome. I am a super-beginner, and she was able to make the class both on my level and enjoyable. We got the "relaxation weekend" which I highly recommend. The massage and yoga class (or sauna treatment) come with the cabin price. There is a hot tub which we were unable to use (because we needed to watch the baby), but looked very inviting. Overall, I would give this vacation spot 5 stars, more if I could!

“Great accommodations in great location” Bears Den was a great place for our three generations! The cabin provided for all our needs and was conveniently located for daily treks to the area's attractions. We especially enjoyed a superb view of the nightly Dollywood fireworks. We hope to return!

“Absolutely Relaxing” This cabin is so relaxing to stay at. The sound of the river right outside puts you to sleep at night. We slept with the windows open all nite. The Pictures do not do this cabin justice. The stone walls are something to behold. The kitchen has every appliance and utensil you could ever use all you need is your food. The beds are comfortable. The owners have gone out of their way to make sure you know of all the local area hiking, boating and restaurants that are available in the area. We really would love to stay here again. It is off the beaten path and once you get there you never want to leave.

“Unbelievable location and did so many things at this unique cabi” Easy to check in and out. The outside and inside look even better in person. The way it was designed & decorated was so creative with all the small touches around the cabin. Very clean throuhout the cabin and on the outside. The location was perfect. Anything you could ever want to do: Golfing, hiking, fishing, skiing, tubing, canoeing, and site seeing. At the community center you can even play volleyball, basketball and other activities. They have 24 hour security in this gating community with partrol cars. I loved the fire pit in the backyard of the cabin and it has the biggest loft I have ever seen. You could walk out the cabin and start hiking on the trails. River in the back and a huge lake steps away. I'm so glad that we decided on this cabin for our vacation. Thank you very much to the River Cabin in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
