“Heavenly Holiday Retreat” Cassini Beach House is a beautiful, luxurious yet relaxed haven fitted out with consummate skill and loving care. The beachfront location provides privacy, glorious expansive views, a tranquil swimming beach and ease of proximity to Penneshaw and Kingscote. We enjoyed day trips all over KI, at the same time knowing that upon return we'd be re-entering a slice of heaven. Cassini's owner, Fiona McLeay, is a gem! Her thoughtful, friendly yet highly professional service enhanced our pleasure. If you're after a spacious, high quality KI holiday escape in a serene environment then my family and I have no hesitation in giving Cassini Beach House our highest recommendation.

Searenity Holiday Home - Panoramic Sea Views

Emu Bay house

3 bedrooms / 2 bathrooms / sleeps 8

“How's the Searenity!” It was a 20 minute plane trip to Kingscote airport from adelaide airport. we were whisked away to Emu Bay by the proud owners of Searenity Mr Herb & Mr Janette Stichel. From the minute we arrived the wave of relaxation hit us instantly. The koalas in the trees, the birds on the white beaches of Emu Bay. The food ! and the rest - I can't remember having a better night's sleep. Thank you for an amazing and relaxing adventure. one for the Bucket List for Sure. Andy Stabolidis.

Thorn Park on the island

Penneshaw house

3 bedrooms / 2 bathrooms / sleeps 6

“Outstanding 4 Days” I've recently stayed at 'Thorn Park on the island' in Penneshaw, Kangaroo Island. The house is beautifully furnished, beds are superbly comfortable. The house is positioned on the hill overlooking the bay where the ferry docks. What a view! You can sit on the wide deck watching Island life below you in the Bay or just sit (with your glass of wine) and watch the Tamar wallabies that come to the house boundary to drink water. If you are lucky you may even see the resident kangaroos of the region and maybe the albino one also. The sun streams onto the deck but also into the living area...a wonderful place to read, feel warm and relax, letting the stress of work, traffic and city life melt away. If you want to venture from the house (but why would you when you are so comfortable and cosy) there are plenty of sights to see, coffee shops and places to eat. I've been lucky enough to stay at TP on the island several times and I'd love to return.

Beachcomber - absolute beach front property Kangaroo Island

Penneshaw house

4 bedrooms / 2 bathrooms / sleeps 10

“Our family's best holiday ever.” Beachcomber was a wonderful place for our family of 12, ranging from 1 year to 70 years, to stay. It provided us with all we needed and more than we wanted, was comfortable, clean and well positioned. Through the incredibly hot week although not as bad as the 5 days of 40 on the mainland, we were able to sleep with fans on and the air conditioning in the living area was more than adequate so that we were comfortable during the heat of the day. All amenities were excellent. My grandson who is 3 and loves 'Toy Story' was absolutely thrilled at being greeted with Woody and Buzz in your toy box while the eldest grand child, with the help of adults as they passed by was able to complete two of the jigsaws in the heat of the day. The beach in front of the house was perfect, calm, clear water with sand banks that allowed safety of water activities for all. The walk to the boat ramp and back was just right for my morning and evening exercise. Thank you for the use of the moulded canoes that provided variety from the kids' boogie boards and swimming. With Pennington Beach so close, the older ones could surf. We also visited Remarkable Rocks, Admirals arch, Flinders Chase, Dudley Winery, Kingscote, the Bee House, American River and of course Penneshaw, so toured the island from one end to the other. The holiday provided the family with a reprieve, so enjoyable, from the stress of the illness and death of father and poppa, over the past 18 months, and also the ideal venue to celebrate my 70th birthday. It is too difficult to say what was the best, it was all so good. There is nothing we liked least, except perhaps leaving. My 12 year old granddaughter said, 'Where did the week go Grannie, it can't be the day to go home today!' Another chipped in, 'Can we come back for your birthday next year, Granz?' 'We'll see. Perhaps when I'm 75.' Thank you so much Fiona for a wonderful stay.

A Dune Escape - Nature meets the Sea
Beauty , luxury & comfort

Thank you Kris & Brian for such a lovely relaxing stay at your beautiful Dune Escape . It is a very private, well designed house. The intimate & distant views of the landscape were gorgeous and the view of the bay after the short walk to the top of the dune is magnificent. I loved the crunchy cotton doonas, well appointed kitchen and the comfortable furniture. The kangaroos grazing nearby we're very picturesque.see more
Thorn Park on the island
Essence of beautiful australia

Sitting on the deck at Thorn Park on the Island, the four of us raised our glasses to our hosts and were glad that they had decided to rent this lovely property. The house is beautifully decorated, the kitchen well appointed and the layout very comfortable for the two couples. We were very glad we had booked to stay for 4 nights as it gave us plenty of touring time and time to relax/read/watch the sea. We arrived on the island with goodies from the adelaide central market and were able to organise other grocery items from the KI stores. To support local producers, we decided to buy our wine from the different wineries on the Island. We loved the Sunset winery's Sparkling Shiraz. Kangaroo Island is australia's 3rd largest island and it abounds with wildlife. While you can visit so many of these animals in a park, it is great to see them in the wild and to appreciate the natural world in which they exist. You must have a vehicle to tour the island and be prepared for some longer drive days to visit all the different tourist attractions.see more
Ecopia Retreat - The Residence
Perfect location!

We stayed here with our 2 toddlers for 4 nights. It was perfect, the kids could wander about, climb the fallen tree and at dusk go kangaroo spotting and echidna spotting which they thought was great. The easter egg hunt was perfect too, so many shrubs to hide behind, just open space, it was amazing. So easy with toddlers as we were only 15 minutes from main tourist attractions, important when kids are so young as driving all day isn't much fun for them. We took them to little sahara, seal bay, parndana wildlife park and the bird show. The parndana pub is also 8km away and great for a meal. The house was perfect although with young children (1 and 2) it would have been great to have an extra heater in their rooms as it was hard to keep the fire burning all night and by 4am they were waking cold. Not a problem for us as the quilts were great luxury and very warm. A microwave would have been useful as far as toddlers go as we are constantly reheating food, milk etc. Overall we loved it, you just have to be very organised food wise as it is quite secluded and not like staying in a main town, but thats why we liked it! Would definately stay again.see more
Cassini Beach House - luxury beach font property
Fabulous, Architect - Designed Rental, Perfectly Located

We have stayed at Cassini Beach House a few times now as are guaranteed a luxurious and relaxing stay. Perfectly located on Island Beach (away from the more congested, developed areas further down the beach) the house is one of only a few situated in this particular location. The accomodation itself is architecturally designed to make the most of the gorgeous views over the bay, with spacious bedrooms, dining/living areas/deck and interiors designed to feel warm and cosy in winter and easy and breazy in the summer. A fabulous rental choice to make the most of the white sandy stretch of beach, crystal clear, blue water and landscape. Spotlessly clean, modern, quiet and picturesque -we would not consider staying elsewhere.see more

Beyond all expectations... absolute heaven!

Wow Wow Wow! We thought we were jumping on a ferry to Kangaroo Island, little did we know we were on our way to paradise. The location of the house was spot on, making the short walk to and from the beach easy enough to leave the esky at home and the wine in the fridge! The house was a dream, beautiful to live in for a week but never a worry that we might trudge a little sand through after a day on beach. Fiona and Brooke were nothing but gems, having inherited some serious rubbish from the group before us, they popped over to tell us they will sort it out and to not worry about it. Could not fault our week, it was the perfect start to 2014 - thanks!see more

“Unparalleled Enjoyment”

Relaxation doesn't even begin to describe what we felt staying here. My husband and I truly felt Serenity for the first time at Searenity!! Contemporary and comfortable. We could not ask for anything more. Emu Bay is unparalleled. I have never seen a more beautiful beach in my life! We fell asleep to the sight of koala bears outside our window and we awoke to the sound of penguins outside our door. Truly an incredible experience in Oz!!see more
