“Fantastic Weekend...” This cottage was booked for my birthday celebration - what an amazing house! views were outstanding, cottage was gorgeous - we didn't want to leave! Our little boy loved running around in the gardens and neighbouring fields. We will definitely be returning for more!

“Fantastic location for walking if you are fit and able” Relatively small cottage. Some good features some average. Great view of Dale from rear Garden / patio. Helpful neighbours. Very hilly - not suitable for older visitor or with young children in my view. No car access. Dog friendly location. Excellent pub up the hill

“Comfortable, well-equipped and spacious” A group of family and friends with 3 small children, we found Craven House to have everything we needed. Plenty of bathrooms and ensuites, large well-equipped kitchen with aga. The house was well heated. In a good position for most things - Tesco literally round the corner, and the centre of Skipton an easy walk. Lovely park for the children within walking distance. Excellent pub for meals on the roundabout on the Keighly Road. Downside of going in March was nearby children's farms weren't open till april. Railway also restricted times then.

“great cottage in great location, highly recommended.” We were very impressed with Sandy Cottage it was beautifully furnished real home from home. The location was fantastic and was enjoyed by all. We have a puppy and were a bit dubious about a dog friendly cottage having not used one before but we were pleasantly surprised and Sandy Cottage is a credit to its owner.

“Fabulous property in a great location” This cottage was much bigger than we expected and very well furnished. The bedrooms were large and there was more than ample room downstairs. Great location for touring the South Lakes region and less than 30 minutes drive to Bowness on Windermere. The local pub has a really good atmosphere with friendly staff and serves a number of real ales and good food. All in all a fantastic option with or without a pet.

“Well situated” Excellent facilities. Car parking not always easy. Close to town centre. Good situation for Yorkshire moors. Loved Whitby, plenty of places to see, abbey well worth the steps walk. Lots of places to eat out. Clear instructions to access property. Great for winter break as well as summer.

“lovely comfortable cottage great location” we really enjoyed our time at woodbine cottage.It is centrally located, two minutes to the nearest pub! it is cosy especially with the log burner going in winter.The cottage has modern decoration and is comfortable. I would definately book again, the sykes agents was friendly and helpful.The only down side was the parking, it was a gamble whether there was space available by the cottage and ambleside has car parks but they can be expensive.Still that said, will still go back again and again.great walking and beautiful countryside any season.

“Really great cottage in a great location” We had a lovely stay here Kirkby Moorside is a lovely place and the cottage was a perfect base. There is a great playground just a minute from the cottage and great dog walking. The cottage was just lovely a real home from home, one we would definately like to return to.

“lovely cottage” We stayed at yeoman cottage for 2 weeks in January and have to say we had a lovely time The cottage was warm,welcoming and spotless and a joy to stay in would recommend it to everyone One of the nice things about it was a full size freezer and washer which makes life a lot easier The only think I can find fault with is having to pay £70 booking fee when I booked it in one go so felt one booking fee should have surfisedand that has put us off booking with sykes again

“Lovely cottage renovated to a good spec” This cottage is great. We stayed with our 3 children and there was everything we needed. The cottage itself is really clean and modern inside but in character with the age of the building. Both Cartmel and Grange are nearby and easy to get to. You will need a car.

“Arklethwaite” Very cosy cottage very well equipted. Lovely walks nearby. Langthwaite is a very pretty little village with small friendly pub. Parking just a little bit away from the cottage. Only drawback is it has no garden to sit out in.
