“A Balinese village getaway, spotlessly clean and well appointed, and a short walk to shops and restaurants.” We stayed at Kupa Kupa Villa for one week in March 2014 and really enjoyed it. It was our first trip to Bali, and we opted for the airport pick up. It was punctual, friendly and good value, and far easier than trying to find our own way. As indicated on the Tripadvisor listing, the paths accessing the villa may not be suitable for the physically challenged, but our 60-something legs didn’t find them a problem. Actually the walks to and from the villa provided an interesting experience of Balinese village life. We stayed in the upper level villa. It was well appointed and spotlessly cleaned daily by the caretakers who also made a good breakfast. All the furniture including the double bed was in top condition. The terrace was a great place to relax and it offered nice rural views. The villa’s pool is small but deep and more than adequate for relief from the heat after a trip out to the many surrounding sights, or a walk up from Candidasa. The warungs, restaurants and shops along the main road and beachfront in Candidasa offer plenty of choice and a range of standards and costs. If we didn’t feel like walking too far, the German/Indonesian café at the bottom of the access stairs provided good meals and snacks. Overall, a great place to stay and relax away from the frenetic life of places like Kuta and Ubud. Good value too. Recommended.

“Amazing experience !” My family of 6 spend a most wonderfull holiday in Villa Mandala located in the most beatifully part of Bali which is East Bali. After staying 10 days in Changu before we came to the Villa , this is paradise Talking about luxury...This is it ! The rooms are beautifully decorated and wonderfully comfotable. The 2 swimming pools are just too much !! The one in front of the house next to the dinning room has a most breathtaking view over the strait of Lombok . The staff took very good care of us and produced all kinds of excellent meals from an extensive menu. My 2 sons immediately took there surfboards out and were not seen for hours. We wished we could have stayed longer than the 6 days we had booked. We will be back for sure. !!

“Magical every time” Villa Nusa on the beautiful island of Nusa Lembongan has become my home away from home, literally. I have been fortunate enough to stay at this amazing villa 5 times over the past 18 months, and when i arrive i am greeted like family, even Sassie (Donnas Dog) is part of the welcoming committee & from that moment the magic that has enticed me time & time again begins. The view from the villa is breathtaking, looking across to Bali with Mt agung the hero of this unframed living artwork. At any time of the day or evening you can not help but stop and be lost in the beauty surrounding you. Unless you venture away from the beachside accommodation and up the unspoilt hill you will not experience the ever-changing living canvas that is the view from Villa Nusa. Donnas Hospitality extends beyond welcoming to advice on island life , restaurant recommendations range from the truly local experience of beach dining with your feet in the sand feasting on freshly caught grilled fish with coconut chilli sambal, vegetable and rice for approx. 30,000.00 rupiah, to Fine French Cuisine at Indiana Kandanga. On this visit Donna took me snorkelling with the Manta-Rays, a truly magical experience with 3 large rays gracefully gliding around us around as if inviting us to dance, to be so close and to swim with these gentle giants is a privilege and something to treasure. I could rave about the fabulous accommodation, large pool, beautiful gardens, waking up to the birds and the View.. Mt agung changing colour in the morning light, but hey thats why i keep going back. Its really hard to leave the villa and if you decide to stay in I highly recommend the chocolate brownies & ice cream delivered from the village by motorbike just to make the experience even sweeter. “Wake up call” The Villa is lovely and fantastic to stay but it would have been better, if not for the constant crowing of the roosters. There were rooster from each side of the villa and front of the villa. The dogs were barking and fighting every night. The family of 5 adults and 1 child had a hard time sleeping. Gede was really helpful. Rooms were clean and the garden was great. Pool was terrific. The owner of the villa were very friendly, kind, sincere,and gede wife was sooo caring. Gede drove us around to where we wanted to go and told us of many places to visit. The family enjoyed themselves and especially my big daughter and my niece(3yr old),we could not take her away from the pool. Just a little note* (always drink from bottle water, even when brushing your teeth use bottle water to rinse your mouth.) I was a little bit disappointed that is was not close to the beach. It was good that it was close to Hardy's supermarket. It was far better than the other villa we stayed at. Go to Jensens Inn 1 for a heaven ice Cappicino. Ask for Gede. He makes a heaven Ice Cappicino to die for.

“Fantastic location” We stayed 4 nights at villa number 4 in a group of 6 adults and 2 children. The location of the villa is fantastic, nestled in between the beach (just 5 minutes walking distance) and the main street with many restaurants and shops. Hardy's supermarket is also a short walk away (about 500 metres). The kitchen was fully equipped, though we didn't cook as there were so many food options nearby. The villa felt very private and the kids really loved playing in the pool after a long day (a point to note: the pool is rather deep - we brought along some inflatable floats for the children). One minor complaint was that one or two of the lights in the villa were not working. It wasn't a big issue, hence we didn't felt the need to get it fixed. Michele made sure that the entire stay - from booking of accomodation and day tours to checking-out - went about smoothly with no hiccups. Ajik and the other guide (I didn't get his name) were also fantastic - they were very knowledgeable and made sure that our bali tour was fun and educational. We are happy to have chosen to stay here for our first trip to Bali and will certainly consider this villa again if we return.

“Stunning villa and amazing location make for a great holiday!” The villa is gorgeous with three rooms - 2 of which are expansive master bedrooms with attached bathrooms. We loved the private pool which we could use when we got tired of the hustle and bustle the town. The beach is literally steps away and it's a nice quiet stretch that offers more privacy. Hotels nearby make for nice stops for meals and Seminyak is a 20min drive from the villa. The staff are pleasant even if they didn't cook my scrambled eggs the way i like them but overall it's been a wonderful experience!

“Perfect setting” We travelled to Candidasa in Jan 2013 for 8 days (2 adults & 3 kids 11,8 & 4). We stayed in Jogolo and the accommodation was exactly as pictured. It was very comfortable & clean. We all had an amazing stay mostly relaxing by the pool and are all very much looking forward to another stay. We were delighted by the hospitality offered by Iouri and the lovely staff. We have no hesitation recommending the accommodation as it was really lovely.
