“A wonderful experience.” The chateau, full of history, is beautifully situated in the village of Saint-Martory on the river bank of the Garonne surrounded by a perfect French landscape and with the view of the Pyrenées Mountains. We have had great pleasure staying there twice and we really do recommand the place.

“A DELIGHTFUL SETTING FOR AN EXTRAORDINARY EXPERIENCE” We found this beautifully maintained house, modern but in the French style, quiet yet perfectly situated for travel though South West France. We visited Carcasonne,Toulouse, Narbonne, Andorra, the Western Riviera, even Barcelona Spain, easily by car from there in a day, finding the Limoux house a delight to return to and relax in after sightseeing. Accomodation for families, or up to four couples, makes the house very affordable, yet it has the feeling of a very intimate and special place. Its small but private grounds, plus the scenery and many fine restaurants in Limoux itself, make it an ideal place for a holiday: one we intend to repeat just as soon as we can.

“Chez Nick and Carolyn” What a find! Charming little B&B; just 50mins south-west of Carcassonne. Listen to the tinkling of the cow bells as you doze off to sleep after Nick's delicious four course evening meals and local wines, all sourced locally. Carolyn has all thought of everything from the hairdryer and cotton wool in the bathroom, to the eclectic selection of CDs. We loved our stay and came home wishing we were still sitting in the village square soaking up the sun and enjoying the friendship of our hosts.

“A very enjoyable holiday” This area of France is very scenic with scope to sample many things. Andorra is about 1 hr 45 mins away and a great place for an overnight stay with fab duty free shoping, had an enjoyable ski lift ride also! About an hour and a half away is Roses in spain - a nice marina resort with lots of interesting "gin palaces" to oggle! In the very near locality is many interesting places to visit, ie Villefrance, Eus, and superb beaches are to be found nearby at Perpignon. Apartment itself was spacious and light and the facilities very good. The welcome from the owner who lives nearby was excellent and very friendly, cooked us dinner on the first night and shared several of his bottles of wine with us, our holiday so busy we did not get to repay the nice gesture - however if you are reading this Padraigh - thank you very much!!! Weather was fab 32 -39 degrees every day - was a shock to come back to England which was cold, drab and grey. Will definately go back to this area of France again and would have no hesitation in staying at this apartment again - a very enjoyable holiday!

“Peace and Quiet in the Country” La Maison Bleue is an oasis of calm in the hamlet of Sonnac sur L'Hers. It is easy to find and delightful to return to each day after touring. The house has lovely outdoor spaces in front of the dwelling or on the back terrace overlooking hills and fields with sheep and cows. Very restful. Interior space is good, beds are comfortable and linens of top quality. Our hosts left us farm fresh eggs, bread, milk, tea and coffee to get us started as well as olive oil, herbs and balsamic vinegar in the cupboards. Fresh flowers adorned the dining table. There is a good selection of Dvd's should you wish to stay home of an evening and catch a feel good film. If you wish, Nigel will make you dinner at the next door B&B.; It's a very good deal! Carolyn is a charming hostess. I recommend this vacation home to anyone who enjoys a tranquil holiday.

“Lovely spot in a beautiful part of the world” We had a wonderful time here. The gite is well-appointed, charming and comfortable and the setting is beautiful. The location made a great spot for exploring the area (Pech Merle, Figeac and Rocomadour are all easy driving distance) and it was pleasure just to hang around Marcilhac and hike or canoe. The music and book selection was exceptional, with handy maps and guidebooks plus some classics about the area. Wifi has to be paid for at the Post Office (and cellphone service is best at the town square) but it's a very short walk there. Having Madame's "tasting menu" and watching village life at Café des Touristes is a must. It was a pleasure to stay here (thanks to Lillian for the arrangements).
