“Heaven on Earth!” I stayed at The Petals for 2 weeks and can't rate it highly enough with only 5stars! This place is a pure heaven on Earth. You wake up in the morning with the beautiful sounds of nature, cup of the best tea in the world, fresh papaya juice, breakfast like nowhere else from Upul the amazing chef and refreshed with freshly chopped king coconut. If you decide not to go to the beach you can easily spend a day here around the pool or with tons of books and board games, otherwise the most beautiful beaches are only walking distance away or about £1 with tuc-tuc. During the day you'll be looked after by Upul and Jagarth 2 amazing guys and now also friends for which no request is a problem. The best way to explore the area is by motorbike but you have to be a very good rider since on the road no rules apply, if that's not the case the taxi's and tuc tuc's are incredibly cheap but ask the price first. By the way a stunning tea farm and factory is only 30 mins ride. In Sri Lanka I haven't met one person who wouldn't smile back at me, truly beautiful people. “perfect relaxing weekend” This beautiful Villa in ambalangoda is located very nice. You can see the river and around are old big trees and so quiet that you can hear the birds. There are three luxury rooms in old Colonial Style with separate bathrooms. The rooms are big with very nice antique furniture and very clean. The living and dinning room are situated with an open courtyard. You feel very comfortable and like at home. The staff is extraordinary friendly and they gave us always a welcome feeling. We stayed there for a weekend with our two little kids. They enjoyed the big swimming pool and the garden. We loved to stay there and we are sure we will come back.

“Stunning, you are left wanting for nothing except more of the sa” A fabulous week, just what we needed. A great team looked after our every need. We especially enjoyed paddling down the lake for dinner, to be the only guests at the restaurant, and then paddling back. Stunning home away from home, allowing quality family time. Will definitely return, thank you.

“A dream at the ocean” Arriving at the Villa (southpointvilla.com) the staff will greet you with a refreshing cloth and a delicous icecold drink. After passing the pool and a beautiful covered resting area you use a lightly curved bridge over a coy pond to enter the Villa. This Villa is located within a big garden, adjacent to a swimming pool, a grassy area, flowers and literally steps away from a beautiful, clean and quiet sandy beach for swimming and walking. Opposite the Villa, a coral reef invites you to snorkel and observe colorful fish. Lounge chairs and fresh towls are always provided. 3 bedrooms (TV, fans, AC) four-poster-beds, mosquito-nets, antique furniture, modern bathrooms - beautiful sink areas - always hot water - , fresh towls, shampoo and bathgels. One has a pool-garden-view, two have a garden/ocean-view and access to the deck. Inside and outside covered sitting-areas - including dining - w/ garden-ocean view. Staff is magnificent: they can arrange for everything (rental car, bicycles, boats, fishing, tours etc.) Laundry can be taken care of. Chef and his crew outstanding: the whole time such delicacies were created, that we never even got the idea of going out to eat somewhere else. Excursions: two National Parks "Uda Walawe" and "Yala" are not too far, teaplantations, Galle with its beautiful Fort and shopping in the city, a lake, other beaches and bays are nearby --- no nightlife.

“Paradise in The Sands” In the beginning we would like to apologize to Peter for being so long going to write a review. Peter, sorry! We were in an apartment with 8.03-22.03. There are no words to describe our stay. I liked everything: the location of the home and the convenience and beauty around. Warm sea, to which it was a 5 min walk, plenty of fruit and seafood, security, peace-all this made our stay unforgettable. On the balcony there was a fan, it was very comfortable to sit under it. We went to the fish market, where prices are low to buy fresh seafood, and the restaurant opposite the market is all we eat cooked. A luxury apartment in a fabulous location! All of our problems and requests addressed by Peter very quickly, thanks to Hank arrives immediately. Thanks to Peter very much! We really want to go back!

“Perfect for the family” We arrived reasonably late, Herriot kindly arranged for our pick-up & drop-off. Check-in was breezy! It was bigger than we expected (which is never an issue!) 3 bedrooms and a living room with the pool & a bit of a garden separating them. We were a family of 6 adults and 1 toddler, this villa was a great size for us, in fact it can easily accommodate a slightly bigger group. Having the pool just right at our door step was a bonus especially after being out on a humid day. For families with wandering toddler, be mindful of the pool being just there. We didn't have any issues with Eian who is 2.7 years. We explained the pool rules to him so every time he wanted to swim he would announce it rather loudly :-). The courtyard is such a great place to chill, we spent quite a bit of time by the pool chatting and reading. The rooms are spacious and beds are comfortable - with plenty of towels to last us for weeks. Our room had a slight damp smell to it probably due to it not being used for a while, 2 other rooms and living room was fine. The kitchen was sufficient for cooking and there's also washing machine, tv etc - it was just like staying in a house. Some of the kitchen utensils needed to be washed before we used it due to grease but that was easily sorted. They cleaned the pool once when we were there and the garden was well kept too. There's always someone at the office to help with tours/car rental ( even on Sundays). We rented a car on our last day there with the help of the office and also hired a driver. Pisit was warm and very patient with our 'wants', even waited when we shopped at Tesco! and when he couldn't accommodate to our requests he would always find an alternative driver for us. The location of the villa is convenient as it is fairly central, it depends on what the group wants to do of course. It's about 40 mins to even the furthest part of Phuket. The next time we travel in a group to Phuket - we would definitely look into renting Jah Villa again!!

“Family fun” I have already recommended Crosswinds to people who aren't even considering going to Nainital. Nestled off a quiet road in Gethia, Crosswinds was a perfect retreat from the hustle of Delhi. Come prepared to eat and read and relax, There's no need to ever leave its warm gates. I already feel incredibly happy for the opportunity to have spent time here, and only wish there had been more hours in the day to enjoy this special place. All of us really had a great time & eagerly await our next visit.

“Fabulous holiday!!! We loved it!!!” We were a group of 7, first time in Phuket. Staying for 7 nights. We were picked up from the airport by a van that was arranged with the owner. The moment we set foot in the villa we loved it. It was not only like the pictures it was even better!!! The villa was immaculately clean, everything organized and managed perfectly by the the owner Richard and his lovely wife Yasuko. They we so nice and helpful in anything we needed. The pool, rooms, living area and basically the villa is very spacious and is designed beautifully in a way that 4 couples can stay there easily and have there privacy as well. We practically didn't want to leave the villa. The pool area and the sound system with it was that good. We were having lots of fun. Transportation was easy with us. A car is recommended for touristic spots but we didn't bother and there was a really nice driver Mr Lee who took us everywhere, anytime easily and would come pick us up too. Scooters are a easy option, you can rent one just around the corner. We all loved the villa and I would highly recommend it to anybody who looks for comfort, luxury and fun for there vacation. We would definitely come back. Richard and Yasuko, thank you again! Hope to see you soon again. You made our stay more than complete!
