“Perfect” Angi, Thank you for such a wonderful piece of heaven. Your home is so well appointed and so cozy we just felt right at home. We also are so appreciative that you allowed us to bring our four legged little girl. It made this vacation so stress free knowing she was with us. “Perfect location, perfect stay!” From our first contact with the realtor, (Ocean Blue)this was a stree-free, very professional, experience. They were so accommodating, easy to book on line, it was great. The house itself was really clean and nicely laid out for a large group. We knew there were going to be multi levels so we brought baby gates with us and it worked perfect. Did not have to worry about kids on the stairs in the house or on the decks. The kitchen was well equipped with nice servng pieces (not a mismatched hodgepodge of pieces you would never use in your own home), neatly organized but still left plenty of room for our own groceries. We loved this house for our family beach vacation. The elevator was a nice touch too. Made carrying groceries and luggage to the different levels a breeze.

“Great View” Good acomadations. Under new ownership so many little things to be attended to. But the location and the setting are great and the rooms are spacious. Being right on the beach is priceless.

“Great House on the beach” Very nice spacious house...easy walk over the dunes to the beach. Would rent again, also like the availability of the Sanderling Club.

“Awesome vacation” the house was great; very clean; great locations; it had the most well stocked kitchen we could have asked for; working with Outer Banks Blue was so pleasant. they answers all of our questions in record time and couldn't have been more acoommodating. We will rent from then again.

“Outer Banks is the place to be!” This is an older home in the quiet Sanderling community of Duck, NC. The location doesn't get any better -- boarded walk to the beach, great decking for watching sunrises and sunsets, and a nearly private beach. You have easy access to the running, walking path along Route 12 but since you're back in the neighborhood you have no traffic noise. The home is sturdy, open, well-furnished, and has everything you need for a week at the beach. We loved the family room on the upper level with plenty of windows, comfy seating, a large table for dinners, and an island for more casual breakfasts and snacks. There are plenty of games, puzzles, books, and movies that are great for rainy days. It suited our purposes just fine. The only criticisms are: the house was extremely dusty -- we didn't dare turn on the fans for fear the inch of dust coating them would be all over the place if we did; the bathrooms are somewhat dark; the shed light was burned out and the shed was such a mess we didn't even bother to try to get any of the bikes out to use -- couldn't find a pump anyway. We had a very large mouse running around the loft. From the size of him he's been there quite sometime enjoying some good food. As he was too big for a regular mouse trap (we tried to catch him) we told the folks at Outer Banks Blue about him. Hopefully they have ousted the critter. We did mention the dust problem to the Outer Banks Blue guy that showed up the day we checked in. He said he would have to put a service order in but that didn't happen while we were there. We had an issue with the grill and someone came out and took care of it right away. Overall, we were very happy with the experience. We know this is an older house and we're fine with that but the cleaning crew needs to do a better job.

“A Fab Family Gathering” We had a great time. The house was comfortable and spacious.The view was wonderful. We were glad to see a wonderfully organized and stocked kitchen- ready for any kind of meal. My only wish would have been sharper knives. It was a perfect visit.

“Gorgeous House in a Great Location !” This house was really beautiful, especially the great room which is just breathtaking. Loved the simplicity of check in (which consisted of just arriving at the house and waiting for 4PM when the lock code would re-set to the code that had been provided to us) and check out (which consisted of leaving :) We had a "furniture malfunction" on our last day there, but OBB just came and picked it up to take it for repair, no questions asked. The only downsides to the house are: #1)the hot tub (which, frankly, shouldn't even be advertised as an amenity because it's just one of those "temporary" kinds (but looks like it's been there a long time) This was not a real issue for us, however, as we are not big hot-tub users. #2) Food storage area...there's no real pantry. We moved pots and pans around to make some room for food. #3) The thermostat for the bedrooms on the main (great room) floor are outside of the bedrooms and, thus, regulates based on the temp in the great room rather than the bedrooms themselves. No big deal once you figure out how you need to "offset" the temp. After the first night we knew what to do and it wasn't a problem. None of those three problems were deal breakers for us, though, because the house is just so gorgeous, the beach in front of the house is uncrowded (in early august,prime season, we didn't have any other people set up on the beach closer than maybe 50 feet from us) and the location is great with regards to proximity to grocery store, the walking/biking trail to Duck, etc. There is also an elevator that actually works, not that we used it for anything other than groceries. We hope to rent this house again next year !

“Rough in the beginning but better as the week went along” Thank you for making our vacation a good one!!! Your staff, although facing problems with Irene, was great to work with and we couldn't have been satisfied with your company and our stay!!! “This was an outstanding trip!” Overall a great vacation. The only complaint however was the pool not getting cleaned all week!

“Beautiful, but things that didn't work weren't fixed” The house was very pretty and everything but the kitchen is very well appointed. The kitchen didn't have a working can opener or little things like a stranger or good serving bowls...little, but a bit annoying when cooking lots of food for so many people. The location is wonderful with great running & bike riding trails and the house had 2 bikes which was great. We had several problems we found on arrival including a non working water/ice dispenser, fan, light, and clothes dryer. After repeated calls to the rental company the first few days we never saw a repair person and just gave up.

“A good vacation spot” The house was very large and nicely furnished. The dune deck was great and the pool large. The location was close to stores with pavements for bike riding. It was great to be able to get in early and have linens and towels provided.

“Close to beach - Great view” I enjoyed the great decks & views. No check in or out makes it a breeze. Great for families.

“Beautiful, Amazing, clean and well stocked!” Gorgeous home, very clean, well stocked, and close to everything! We had Never been to the Outer Banks so naturally we were reluctant to find something On line. We found this house through Outer Banks Blue. There were 15 of us there for a full week. The house is much more beautiful than it looks on line. The pool is spacious and private. The beach is basically out the back door of the house. We loved the deck and the view couldn't be better. The owners supplied multiple items for guest use which was a huge plus. Thus house is well worth the money! Don't hesitate!

“The Haven” Wow,could not have been better,great views,great to watch the Dolphins come in and play in the surf right in front of us,even better only 1 day of rain. Never really wanted to leave.

“Perfect spot for a winter retreat” Our group of friends wanted to do something different for the New Year holiday so we booked The Lodge. What a treat. Great house with the perfect layout for our entire group. Kitchen area was perfect area for all of us to gather at meal time. Tvs everywhere along with the pool table, fire place and hot tub gave everyone a place to have fun. Great view, perfect location. Only thing that could be better is if we came back during the summer. We'll be back for sure.
