“Great beach, nice pool, spacious modern condo on the ocean.” Playa el Coco Townhome, Playa el Coco, Nicaragua, Dec 11-18,2013. An amazingly beautiful unspoiled Pacific coast beach in the south of Nicaragua about a half hour from San Juan del Sur. A lovely townhouse complex - quiet, beautiful gardens, a shared pool, right on the beach. Great security. Very helpful staff at the front gate, who helped us find someone to come and cook and clean up for a few hours a day at a very reasonable rate. Also the owner of our townhouse lives nearby on the same property and helped us find someone to drive us to town and to see the turtles. Our 4 bedroom townhouse was spacious and modern, with central air conditioning and a big living room. Really good beds, bedding, pillows. Modern kitchen. The complex is all concrete so no noise from other units, though within our unit, our family could create quite a racket in the living area - just normal family life. Our extended family of eight (parents, 3 children, 3 grandparents) rented for the second week of December 2013. The best part was the beach - the waves were great for the kids to play in, big enough for boogie-boards. Real surfing available on nearby beaches.

“Gorgeous villa, beautiful beach, great time!” We just spent a wonderful week at Casa Malinche, so I wanted to rave about it a little bit. We really couldn't believe our luck to be staying somewhere so beautiful! We arrived at night, which meant very slow driving but was totally doable, and Luiz (the caretaker) had turned the lights on so we could spot the property. He gave us a quick helpful tour, and then left us to our devices - ie wandering around the 3 levels and lying in every hammock. The view of the ocean in the morning blew our minds, and we took many morning beach walks. You can climb around the rocky point to see thousands of crabs and schools of fish, and there are always a dozen or so pelicans diving for food in the bay. Remanzo was quiet even in the high season, and the swimming is amazing! Not too cold, a nice wave but no undertow or riptide. There are sting rays, but you just shuffle your feet to scare them off and we never had a problem. San Juan del Sur is 15 - 20 minutes away, and we had fun shopping at the local mercado, the fish market at the end of the harbour, and eating at a couple of the beach-side touristy restaurants. We ate mostly at Malinche though because we loved it there and the cooking facilities are great (charcoal grill). We had a sunset swim every evening, a few beers on the beach, and then maybe a bonfire and romp with some of the local dogs. I highly recommend this place for travellers who like their independence and want an easy place to feel at home.

great location

this property is in an ideal location in town, although the street is busy with traffic, its not amongst all the shops, which are accessed within a minute around the corner. the beach is less than 5 minutes walk away, and the supermarket is 10 minutes. the apartment is very secure. its quite basic, but if you are out all day exploring, or surfing, then it has everything you need, with cooking facilities, outside space, and wifi access. it is a good base to explore san juan del sur and only 30 minutes drive from the border. Bayview Terrace # 5 San Juan Del Sur Nicaragua February 4th to March 4th 2014 What a great place! The condo, the landscape, the weather and the people made this the perfect holiday. The condo is immaculate and the wonderful housekeeper Catalina came twice a week to clean. Not a drop of rain fell during the day for a whole month! The beaches were great for exploring and surfing. Playa El Coco - Beautiful Townhome on the Beach
Quiet and relaxing

Our stay in Playa el Coco was excellent. For the most part we had the beach and pool to ourselves. The soft white sand and gentle waves make this destination perfect for families with children. The wind was strong at times but the sunshine made up for it. The condo is about 25 min south of San Juan del Sur so you are quite secluded. This makes for great relaxation and quiet. We found renting a truck useful for a few days to explore the surrounding area. Jim is very accommodating as is the manager on duty. They both will help facilitate what you need and/or want to do, including renting a truck and driver for the day. A cook and cleaner are available for a small fee. The condo itself is spacious and well equipped. All appliances including the air conditioning worked well. As a family of 5 we had a great time and Jim ensures that you are comfortable for your entire stay. … see more

Beautiful and Quiet

The home was gorgeous and spacious. The view was breathtaking and the pool is a great addition. We spent Thanksgiving week and we were sad to leave. Eliezer (the care taker) is amazing. We really appreciated all of his help and information. He speaks fluent English which was helpful to my in-laws. Although I speak Spanish, it was nice to pick his brain as far as local restaurants and things to do. We had his friend Feliz come over to cook twice and she was awesome too. You tell her what you want and she will buy everything and bring her receipts for the food and you give her extra for her time. Tips- Make sure you get a 4X4 to get up and down the hills-there is a beautiful view because you are up on the mountains. The home is equipped with all of the housewares you will need but make sure you bring all of your toiletries and ask Eliezer for extra towels if you need them. You are given a max amount electricity you will be allowed to use. We did not go over but we also only used the AC while we slept. The home has fans in the living area but no AC through out-this is why the pool is helpful-we just jumped in to cool off when needed. … see more

the house itself is beautiful and well stocked with every kitchen gadget you can think of to make cooking in a breeze, the dual master bedroom suites make it ideal for friends to each have their own space, the ocean view at sunset is stunning. but the best part of casa tres pesce is by far the awesome staff. they were always eager to help with anything and greeted us with big smiles and hollas whenever we saw them.
