Where there are lots of stores and the market on Saturdays with local artisans, craft people. Along side fresh flowers, fruit and vegetables that are vibrant. Mount Maxwell has a stunning view with great trails and St, Mary's Lake is an incredible view. “Peaceful Oasis” We had the extreme pleasure of staying at Patricia and Scott's condo. What a magical place. The location could not have been better. Waking up in the morning with the ocean alongside the master bedroom and then spending the day gazing out at the unobstructed views. It took me an hour to jealously wander about the condo in awe of all of the perfect details. Everything was though of - you could easily host a dinner party for 8 here and not be missing a thing. We have stayed at the most exclusive resorts on the Island, but never have we felt as if we were truly coming "home" when we returned to our suite, like we did here. We have adopted the condo, and I have adopted the perfectly situated chaise lounge for hours of reading and gazing. It is dead quiet, with lots to observe in the ocean... that bay is always changing. We did a short (6km) hike nearby and strolled on the beach. Dug up and steamed clams as well as shucked oysters off the beach and pan fried them. Cannot wait to return! Thanks Patricia and Scott! “Bliss!” You won't be disappointed with this lovely condo. The view is spectacular with amazing sunrises and sunsets, the fresh scent of sea air and the accomodation is terrific. There's lots of room to spread out and enjoy. This was our second year at this condo and we decided that we'll be regular visitors year after year - it's just that good! We find that we can't help but unwind and relax here and each visit we plan to spend at few days on site (instead of venturing out) taking in the sea, relaxing beside the pool or having a swim and beach combing! Roz has thought of everything in the unit so you just need to bring your personal effects and you'll be well taken care of. The unit is very clean, beds and pillows are comfortable and there's no traces of pets from previous visits. The complex is very well maintained with a playground for the little ones, tennis court, several patios with Weber bbqs for everyone to use, pool and hot tub, poolside lounge chairs as well as tables and chairs, firepit, dock for your boat or perhaps fishing, even a herb garden. Looking forward to next year already!

“What a great spot” This is our 2nd year going to the inn at the sea and what a great unit. Iris is a great host. The unit has all the comforts of home and then some. We had great time with children it is tough to find the perfect spot but this is it. The pool is a great place to spend the day. Thank you Iris!

“Nothing was too much trouble” A lovely apartment in a quiet spot but convenient for local shops, the airport and ferry, and 20 minutes drive from downtown Victoria. It was clean and tidy and had everything we needed. Kirk and Gloria were lovely hosts and we felt confident that if there was anything we needed then nothing was too much trouble for them. We stayed for 4 nights while visiting family and seeing a few sights. It was nice to have a place where we could just come and go (own entrance) without any bother. Gloria kindly drove me to the airport to pick up my hire car - she just offered. Good for a family of 4. Bedrooms were a good size and the lounge had plenty of space. I'd happily stay there again.

“Beautiful, relaxing, charming - just the best!” Xanadu Estate is a short scenic ride north of Victoria. When we arrived at the property we were greeted by Jane who was an incredibly welcoming host. The property is set on beautiful acreage that was covered with all the wonderful colors of fall. The suite offered everything that one could want for a relaxing vacation. (It is just as the pictures show - large, comfortable, clean with all the amenities you could possibly want.)I was sorry that we were not able to stay a bit longer. It is only a short drive to many small communities, restaurants, shopping and the ferries. Around the corner is a wonderful little lavendar farm. Nothing could be better than to explore during the day and then come back to your wonderful suite to sit and relax with a glass of wine or a cup of English tea looking out over the beautiful view. I would love to return in the summer so that I could take advantage of all the wonderful outdoor activities that are available in the area. I would definitely recommend Xanadu to everyone - singles, couples, friends and families.

“Beautifully appointed sea side serenity!” The beach house is absolutely beautiful! The B&B; suite retains much of it's original rustic charm with the large natual log columns and brick, then absolutely beautifully appointed modern decor to complete the warm welcome feel of this suite. Shelly will do nothing but spoil you while you stay in this little peace of west coast paradise. Take a stroll through the old school english style gardens and pathways in the rear of the Beach House. This is absolutely enchanting . . . and . . . if you look very very closely you may be one of the lucky ones to catch a glimpse of the fairies that live in the wood. If the suite and gardens aren't enough to relax your weary body then stroll across the street to Salish Sea Beach House's private little piece of the sea, for a stroll down the beach where Shelly hunts for "Sea Glass". I can't say enough about how absolutely beautiful this B&B; location is, how relaxing you will find it, and how wonderfully Shelly will take care of your needs.
