“Our stay at the lake arenal” We stayed with 2 families 54 kids between 5 and 7) in the Lake arenal cabins. We really enjoyed our stay in this fabulous environment. Tucans flying in the garden during breakfast, monkeys on top of the cabin, the noice of the volcano. The cabins itself are well kept and practical, perfect breakfast, the host very helpful. Do not miss this place during your trip in Costa Rica!

“Great experience” I stayed in villa #4. It was a really nice place to stay. Only had a couple of minor issues. The people who stayed before left dirty dishes in the dishwasher which I cleaned and put away so I wouldn't be charged, the beds were pushed against the wall, and the people in villa #3 who checked in on Sunday were rude. It was a clean and cozy place to stay over all. Its very close to the beach and just minutes from any shopping or attractions to suit anyone's needs or wants. This was our family's first stay at the beach and it was excellent.

“Family Birthday Bash” I wanted to do something special for my husband's 65th birthday, and since his greatest pleasure in life is to have his children at his table, even though costly I decided to rent a house for all of us in Branson (since that is his favorite place in all of the world). His son and daughter in law flew into Springfield from Virginia, and the rest of the children and grandchildren also came. there were 12 of us. What a wonderful house! What a wonderful Time! Everything you need is there. It is clean, and plenty of room for everyone! Pool table in the basement, with a fooseball table, and wii. Grandkids thought they were in heaven. Thank you! Money could never replace the Great time we enjoyed. The "hill" is overwhelming, but after a few times it became normal.

“i am reborn” what an amazing experience this winter was,[dec 1-feb17] with these wonderful hosts. i admit reluctance describing how great it was because then there will never be a vacancy!! everything written in the previous reviews is true. i especially liked their friendliness and sociability while respecting my privacy and need for quiet time. ajijic was a wonderful choice for a first-time snowbird and this location was perfect for me. several local acquaintances expressed their approval with very 'green' eyes.

“Wonderful ajijic” We just got back from 6 amazing weeks and absolutely loved it. Bob and Sharon are excellent hosts, very welcoming and always ready with advice on local attractions and pointing out all the lovely little nearby markets etc. The accommodation was clean and comfortable and you could not beat the location. One block to the lake front and malecon and a couple of blocks to the plaza. There are an abundance of great, reasonably price restaurants, all within walking distance. This was our first trip inland Mexico and we look forward to our next stay in 2014. I should also mention that the weather was great !

“Had All Our Meals On The Screened-In Porch” Laura made our reservations easy and it's a great and quiet location! We love the four bedrooms and each has a bath with a shower/jacuzzi tub and there's a porch right off the kitchen making it so easy to take meals on the porch and that was great. We did have to go to the store down the road to purchase another propane bottle when we went to use the grill on the porch but Laura is going to reimburse us for the purchase of another propane tank. It's a wooded setting and yet it's not that far to drive to the Branson strip and the old downtown area. We would return for another gals get-away!

“Outstanding Villa in a beautiful surroundings.” We are a family of 5, stayed at the this Lakeside Luxury Villa for 9 weeks total. The house is so beautiful with all that is needed when staying with kids. Very spacious house and lots of things to do, table tennis, soccer game and Playstation game console where everybody can play. Giant TV with hundreds of satelite tv-channels. The pool area is simply fantastic, big south facing screen and large pool - sitting out there and watch the sunset is so lovely. We have rented lots of houes before in Florid and this is simply the best one we have rented. The house is close to supermarkets, mall, Disney and all kinds of activities and shopping. Do spare the words: This house is beautiful, with outstanding surroundings. Grade: 10 out of 10. Best Wishes for great stays. Stefan

“Great Location and Condo” Great Condo and Location I can't say enough great things about this location and condo, we arrived on Monday and by that afternoon my husband was already wanting to set a date for a return trip. We decided to try to return for the week after Christmas since he's a teacher and the kids will be out of school. This location is wonderful for a family, it has a great pool as well as being really close to the beach. My concern was that I wouldn't be able to get my teenagers out of the Condo since they brought the PS3 and each have cellphones. Once we hit the beach they had a wonderful time and we couldn't get them out of the water. The beach was clean and wasn't crowded at all. Perhaps it was the time of year or that it was during the week but it wasn't crowded until Friday and we had been out almost everyday. We also ate at Doc's Local Restaurant which had a very nice view and the food was good. I haven't had guacamole with crab, pretty tasty. Also we went to Port Aransas and took the Red Pirate Ship tour, it had a cute show for little ones or for the "young at heart". We enjoyed our stay thoroughly and will certainly be returning soon. You will enjoy your stay at this condo even if it is just for a get away. There wasn't a lot of loud music or noise around the complex either, which I really enjoyed while we were sitting out on the patio having coffee in the morning or drinks in the evening. “Private, Scenic, Perfect getaway in the Rainforest!” The casita has a well-equipped kitchen and a comfortable bed in the loft. We were fortunate that Bret, the kind and friendly owner, was here for part of our month-long stay. He was extremely helpful and saw to it that our needs were met. Marvin, the gardner/caretaker, was delightful and we loved the many conversations that we shared despite the language barrier. Henry, the property manager, was terrific and immediately responsive when we needed him. We enjoyed the abundant fresh fruit and the many trails around the property. The trip into Nuevo arenal on a very bumpy Costan Rican road, was managable in our 4 wheel drive vehicle. Many great restaurants in this lovely town. The lake is beautiful and the location is close to adventures including beaches and the Monteverde Cloud Forest. We loved our vist and hope to return.

“Wow! You'll love the Red Sunset!” Are you looking for a luxury guesthouse near Lake Arenal and Arenal Volcano? If so, look no further and book yourself into the Red Sunset. My husband and I, along with six friends, spent a week in March there. We are so glad we did! We found the accommodations to be everything they were advertised and more. The views are amazing and the house, pool house and grounds will give you plenty of opportunities to relax and explore. While the guesthouse is excellent, the very best feature is the owner/operator Patrick. Patrick met with us each day to help us plan activities and make reservations with the best tour operators. His local knowledge and recommendations were spot on each day, and his help was invaluable. The breakfast provided each morning was a highlight unto itself. Come prepared to eat well – you won’t be disappointed. We’ve never had meals of this quality at similar style lodgings. We also took advantage of the optional evening Chef services. While there were several great places to eat in the Lake Arenal area, all of which were recommended to us by Patrick, you won’t beat the meals prepared by Patrick and his wife. Our favorite was the Chicken Parmesan – sorry, Mom, but it was the best we’ve had anywhere! The Red Sunset was the perfect place for our Costa Rica vacation. We arrived as guests and soon felt like family. We’re glad we chose the Red Sunset!
