Flagstaff Rental Cabin

Flagstaff log cabin

“Comfortable place to stay and relax while having access to everything in Flagstaff.” Our family of 8 really enjoyed this cabin and we are a family ranging from ages 53 to 3 years of age. There was plenty of room. One of the highlights was that the place was really clean and spotless! Steve the owner was very friendly and contacted us to make sure our stay was comfortable. I like to eat in and there is everything you need to cook meals. The beds were very comfortable!!! This cabin really has everything you need. It is located in a quiet little village just a few minutes away from downtown Flagstaff and not far from the ski resort! Our whole family felt so happy with our choice in picking this cabin for our family vacation. This cabin would be great anytime of year. We would definitely come back and stay again...

Cool Cabin in the tall pines

Flagstaff log cabin

“Enjoyed stay once issues of how cabin was not as clean as expected.” First of all kitchen & counter sticky. Lower bedroom had empty cans of coke. Loft bedroom T-shirt & socks in made up bed. Foul odor from pillows. Toilet sluggish . Grill had to be cleaned due to grease build up. Issues resolved then enjoyed the rest of our stay.

Flagstaff apartment

“Exceeded our expectations” We were extremely happy with this rental, but to be clear, this review is for the 2-bedroom unit as the owner had no 1-bedroom units available once we submitted our booking. The front street-view of the unit looks deceptively small until you step inside to discover that there are floors both below and above the entrance level (made possible by the units being on a hillside). The home felt brand new and immaculately clean. Spacious living room, dining room, kitchen and bedrooms. The master bedroom has a huge and luxurious bathroom, along with a large walk-in closet. Both the main floor and master bedroom have spacious balconies. The tall trees blocked any view of the mountains but this was not an issue for us. Very peaceful and tranquil setting. We heard no noise whatsoever during our stay. Kitchen was well equipped with clean and shiny utensils and glassware, etc. Wyndham maintain the properties really well. The one negative is that the check-in desk forces you to visit the neighboring "concierge" desk to obtain a parking permit, when there was no good reason that they couldn't have handed out the parking pass along with the keys and the rest of the check-in paperwork. "Concierge" is code language for "time share agents" who will not reveal their true purpose until engaging you in a super-friendly welcome and offering advice on where to go and what to see. So why are time-share salespeople the custodians of the parking passes? - for one reason only - so you have no option but to interact with them!! I refused to initial and sign their "qualification form" in half-a-dozen places, at which point they made me feel like I was being ungrateful for all the help they'd given me. Owners who are privately renting their places to cash-paying vacationers should demand that Wyndham stops putting their guests through this ordeal upon checking in. There's nothing worse after an exhausting day of travel than to have to deal with pushy timeshare salespeople who are trained to overcome your every objection and ultimately force you to be very stubborn, just to get away from them. My advice is that one of the two spouses should stay behind in the car during the check-in process, so they don't have both of you captive at their desk. To be fair, after this initial encounter they never called or bothered us again during our stay though. As long as you arrive mentally-prepared to endure this encounter, once out of the way, everything else about this resort should surpass your expectations.

“Flagstaff vacation” This was a great place to come home to after a full day of sightseeing. There was plenty of room for everyone to have their own space and relax after a long day. The kids found the mini golf and pool a great way to end the day.

“Amazing views, amazing stay, and amazing host” Our family of 4 (2 children ages: 11 and 9 yo) traveled to Flagstaff for the weekend to get out of the Phoenix heat and partake in some mountain bike riding. Dave was very accommodating and made us feel like his house was our house. Our kids loved staying there with all of his animals and animal stories. We had the amazing opportunity to meet and even hold his red tail hawk. The master bedroom was very clean and plenty large for the 4 of us. We will definitely make it back to Dave's house in the future.

“Cool off in wonderful Wyndham Resort at Flagstaff AZ” What a gold mine we found when we booked this 2 bedroom 2 bath condo at Wyndham in Flagstaff. The condo was wonderfully appointed having everything we needed for a month's stay. The amenities were for every age group. We especially loved bingo where the winner has an ice cream treat. They cater to families as well as couples. We can't say enough wonderful things about the staff. Everyone had a smile and were there to make your stay worthwhile. Any problems or concerns were handled professionally with positive customer service. We loved it so much we are looking forward to next summer when we can spend another month cooling off from the phx valley and spend it at Wyndham Resort at Flagstaff.

“The Best...Period! Why go anywhere else?!” Wow, we were blown away by our experience at David's home. As long as you are good with being in a "hosted" situation, you will have a fantastic time. We had the guest room, which I had some reservations about initially, but it worked out just fine. The house feels like home - beautifully decorated, spacious, clean and inviting. "Doing your own thing" just flows beautifully. We ate in with food we brought, but David offered us breakfast each morning. He senses when to be present and when not to be and engages with his guests with ease and sincerity. This is definitely our "go to spot" in Flagstaff from now on!

FAMILY-FRIENDLY APARTMENT FOR SMALL BUDGET; IDEAL BASE FOR DAY TOURS

Flagstaff apartment

1 bedroom / 1 bathroom / sleeps 4

“A great apartment at a great rate!” I am a professional traveler who likes to cook, so staying in an apartment is a great idea for me, instead of a hotel. This apartment was great - clean, comfortable, with everything that I needed. Access was very easy. Anke and Brian were great hosts - they were very responsive to my needs. The apartment is in a residential area, and I felt very safe taking walks in the evening.

LOCATION! Nature Lovers Getaway - Walking Distance Historic Downtown Flagstaff!

Flagstaff house

3 bedrooms / 2 bathrooms / sleeps 6

“Relaxing, clean, and homey” We had a wonderful time at Eric and Mary's place, using it as a home base for our trips to Sedona, the Canyon, and just around Flagstaff. The house was immaculately clean, with a seriously outfitted kitchen (the fondue pot was a nice surprise), a great fireplace, games, Dvds - everything we could want. Location is convenient, we could get to the main highway to the Canyon in just two right turns, and downtown is only moments away. Highly recommended!

About Flagstaff

Any time of year is a great time to visit Flagstaff, AZ. This beautiful alpine town is located in Western Arizona, and is less than two hours from the Grand Canyon. It is an ideal vacation spot for outdoor enthusiasts, who will enjoy the rich and varied wilderness of the region. From cool lakes and pine forests to desert plateaus, Flagstaff is a great place for every type of eco-tour adventure. Even within the city, the Flagstaff Urban Trails System links the entire area through a network of well maintained footpaths, open to biking, walking, and jogging.

Steeped in Native American tradition and surrounded by national parks, Flagstaff is a very unique destination. For a fascinating day trip, check out the 800-year old cliff dwellings at Walnut Canyon National Monument, or visit the ruins of Native American pueblos at Wupatki National Monument. Venture a little further to visit Glen Canyon National Recreation Area and Lake Powell, or plan a whitewater adventure at the famous Grand Canyon.

Home to North Arizona University, the city of Flagstaff is a pleasant college town, with lots of tasty restaurants and hip breweries in the city center. Visitors often like to gather downtown at Heritage Square, where there are weekly live music and cinema events. Buffalo Park is another great place to hang out in town, offering an extensive set of hiking trails and beautiful views of the San Francisco Peaks.

There are myriad things to do in Flagstaff, but here are some of the best places to visit on your trip:

  • The Arboretum at Flagstaff: A lovely botanical garden presenting one of the most diverse collections of wildflowers in the country, extensive hiking trails, and beautiful views.
  • Flagstaff Nordic Center: This center is a green ponderosa pine forest and paradise for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing.
  • Arizona Snowbowl: Come here to experience more than 30 trails for downhill skiing and snowboarding on a pretty Flagstaff mountain.
  • Lowell Observatory: A famous research observatory open to the public, this observatory offers daily guided tours and telescope viewing.
  • Coconino National Forest: This diverse national forest is home to one of the world's largest ponderosa pine forests, as well as high desert landscapes.
  • Arizona Historical Society-Pioneer Museum: Come here to learn more about Arizona and Flagstaff history told through artifacts and exhibits, including a full-size steam locomotive.

For many, Flagstaff is a place close to nature. Therefore, a cozy cabin rental in the woods is ideal. For others, the perfect vacation rental is a vacation rental near the slopes. If you want to stay around Flagstaff's cultural offerings, consider a condo or apartment rental downtown or near Arizona State, which will keep you close to all the action.

Flagstaff Meadows Retreat

This house was perfect for us. It had everything we needed for our stay. Perfect distance & beautiful drives to Sedona & the Grand Canyon. We fell in LOVE with Flagstaff. The area the house is located was quiet & we enjoyed our stay. Probably one of the BEST features we loved...the king size “comfy” bed after being gone the week before & in beds that were not comfortable and/or too small (we not used to smaller “queen”beds. Thank you to the hosts for keeping in touch with us that if we needed for anything they would provide. We will definitely recommend this house to others who need a great place to say. BIG thank you to Cory & Renée. see more

What a beautiful large rental home with plenty of space for our family of 8 adults and two kids to enjoy for the week! Well supplied kitchen with a beautiful view of mountains from the front porch! Great location in east Flagstaff, close to stores, golf course & restaurants! A family of deer grazed through the shady backyard a couple of mornings while we enjoyed our breakfast!
