“Comfortable place to stay and relax while having access to everything in Flagstaff.”

Reviewed 7 Jan 2017

Our family of 8 really enjoyed this cabin and we are a family ranging from ages 53 to 3 years of age. There was plenty of room. One of the highlights was that the place was really clean and spotless! Steve the owner was very friendly and contacted us to make sure our stay was comfortable. I like to eat in and there is everything you need to cook meals. The beds were very comfortable!!! This cabin really has everything you need. It is located in a quiet little village just a few minutes away from downtown Flagstaff and not far from the ski resort! Our whole family felt so happy with our choice in picking this cabin for our family vacation. This cabin would be great anytime of year. We would definitely come back and stay again...

Response from the owner Thanks so much Debra, glad you all enjoyed the newly remodeled cabin. Of course, you are welcome back anytime!

“The perfect spot”

Reviewed 9 Feb 2014

My wife and I, and our best friends decided to take a weeks winter vacation in Flagstaff. We were looking for a good hotel when we decided to see if we could find a cabin or condo. Luckily this was one of the first we looked at, and all I can say is we are happy we picked it. It is clean, comfortable and has everything you need for a successful vacation. We especially loved the fireplace for the cold mountain nights, and it didn't hurt that the 55 inch 3D tv was right next to it:). The cabin is in a quiet neighborhood, and is the perfect launching pad to everything whether it is Flagstaff, Sedona, Jerome, Grand Canyon or any of the many points of interest. Btw, Steve the owner is great and wants his quests to have a great time. Thanks Steve for the great vacation.

Response from the owner Thanks so much for the wonderful review. I'm glad you got some good use out of the fireplace! Yes, some nights it gets pretty cold - luckily there are 4 ways to heat the house: Fireplace, Central Heat, Electric Blankets (upstairs) and a space heater too! Anyway, I'm very happy you and your friends got to enjoy all the many different areas within a short drive of the cabin....that's one of the reasons I fell in love with it myself. Thanks for leaving the cabin in great shape, you are welcome back anytime!

“The Polar Express”

Reviewed 11 Dec 2013

We took the grandchildren (& their parents)to Flagstaff, Arizona to ride The Polar Express train in Williams & to participate in the North Pole Experience. Steve's cabin was the perfect home away from home. The grands liked the basket of toys, board games & their own room with double beds. The middle generation liked the homey feel, two seating areas & the home-like atmosphere. The seniors (us) enjoyed the great nights of sleep in king-sized beds! We all enjoyed the HD/3-D TV with Netflicks, the fluffy towels & the heated drive way! Many home-like touches: throws on the sofas, throw pillows, lots of real dished & glasses (not plastic), plenty of utinsils if you want to cook, nice appliances. Two bathrooms. We used the dryer for warm jammies & dry out gloves & scarves. We had lots of snow, the plow was timely & Steve has a heated drive. We got stuck once (our miscalculation) & his neighbors helped. We absolutely would choose Steve Sasman's cabin again.

“Beautiful cabin in a beautiful area”

Reviewed 28 Aug 2013

I am so happy that I decided to rent a cabin for the weekend instead of staying at a hotel. This cabin is beautiful and can best be described as a home away from home. The beds are comfortable, the rooms are large and everything that you can possibly need (except food and personal items) is there. We really enjoyed the view from the decks - - lots of trees and a canyon in the back. It's very peaceful and the neighbors are friendly. The cabin is located just a few miles from downtown Flagstaff so is very convenient, but, is far enough away to enjoy the peace and quiet. And, if you just can't manage to be away from technology for a few days, also has Hdtv with cable and WiFi. I will definitely keep this cabin in mind for future trips. I only wish I could have stayed longer.

“Fantastic Place to Get away”

Reviewed 26 May 2013

On a whim we decided to go up to Flagstaff from Phoenix for the weekend to beat the heat. What a great decision as our stay at the cabin was terrific. Steve is a consummate host as he made sure our stay was wonderful. My 2 little girls (and my wife for that matter) loved the hammocks on the deck. Plus the beds are awesome. We will be back for sure.

“Fantastic Property and location”

Reviewed 1 Apr 2013

Firstly the name "Cabin" does this property an injustice, it is furnished to as high if not higher standard than many "Luxury Villas" that we have rented over the years. As we were on a sightseeing vacation, the location of the cabin proved to be excellent. We were only a ten minute drive to the centre of Flagstaff and all our other planned destinations were within a couple of hours drive. We visited Monument Valley, Meteor Crater, The Grand Canyon, Four Corners, Sunset Crater, Sedona and the Lowell Observatory. The Ultra comfortable beds were most welcome at the end of a long day. Our only regret was that we did not spend more time at the cabin, to use its excellent facilities. We made most use of the WiFi, to plan our next days trip and to keep in touch with home. This is fantastic "Hidden Gem"

Response from the owner So happy to host such good guests. Glad you got to see so much of Northern AZ from our central spot. I always love to hear how much people are enjoying the beds, as my wallet wasn't too happy with me after that purchase! But it's all worth it to hear comments like yours...Thanks for your stay!

“Wonderful Family Vacation in Flagstaff and Sedona”

Reviewed 17 Mar 2012

We just returned from our family vacation to Northern aZ in early March 2012 and we are already trying to plan our next return. We had an amazing, relaxing, and awesome time at the cabin. The cabin was very well taken care of and the bedding was so comfortable (even with a 2 hr time difference from home we slept so well the first night). Also we brought our 2 yr old daughter and the place is very accomodating for families. It is very close to Flagstaff (when you are there check out Macy's coffee house - great local place for coffee and pastries), just under an hour away from Sedona (we easily were able to go there 3 times and back in our 5 day stay), and a little more than 2 hrs away from the south entrance to the Grand Canyon and from Phoenix (where we flew into). This was our first time to Northern aZ and I recommmend anyone who wants see the sights to stay at this cabin. Thanks again for such a wonderful stay!

“Cabin Fun!”
