“Fantastic stay in a tropical paradise” We stayed at Villa Elleo over the Easter long weekend and we could not have been happier with our choice. To begin with Ketut was extremely helpful in helping us arrange our stay with timely responses to emails and even helping us arrange dinner on our first night as our plan was arriving late. The villa looked exactly like the photos and was extremely comfortable. The house staff were by far what made it an enjoyable experience, they were so friendly and helpful, organising massages in the villa, preparing breakfasts and fresh coconuts. We also thoroughly enjoyed Nyoman card tricks. With the night security Made we always felt safe and he even helped arrange late night take out for us. The villa has a perfect location, tucked away so it's nice and quiet but only a few minutes walk from the main area of Seminyak, with plenty of markets, and restaurants to choose from. Overall everyone was extrely happy with our decision to stay at Villa Elleo, and we would not hesitate to both recommend or re-book the villa for our next stay. “First Rate...Excellent Staff, We'll be Back...Highyly Recomnended” We stayed at Villa Kaira Estate for a week in late May. Stunning large beachfront location and the photos on the website don't do it justice to be honest. Wayan the chef was sensational and was sensitive to a couple of guests who were fussy eaters, all his food was delicious. Definitely do the seafood bbq. Rest of the staff were super friendly and helpful and special mention to the driver Ketut who drove us everywhere and was very knowledgeable. He booked various restaurants and activities for our group too so it was all made super easy. We made use of the Canggu Club membership with the excellent water park and bounce trampoline park, our kids of various ages loved it! The booking process was efficient and easy, Craig was very helpful in installing some extra beds for the younger kids who all wanted to be in the same bedroom. All in all, a fantastic stay and we plan to return same time next year, we all can't wait. Thank you!

“Quiet Place and Peaceful with great location❤” We stayed from Mar-30th-Apr-2nd. Firstly, when booking the villa, the landlord was very attentive and happy to answer any queries I had, I found her to be very friendly. We arrived around 2pm after a bit of confusion with the location of the place. Be careful as there are a few Villas named Jasmine around Bali! Upon arrival we were greeted by the ground staff, who very helpful throughout our stay and made sure the place was always clean, and the security guy that always stand by all night... as we were staying for my birthday celebrations they helped us with preparing some small decorations and food preparation for our guests, which was great. The place itself was very nice and we enjoyed our stay a lot, kitchen comes with all you need- cutlery, plates, cups, etc. TV has cable, therefore the men were happy they could watch football, there was even an Xbox equipped with plenty of games to play. Overall, I reccomend this place, its a very relaxing villa thats in a great location. Small tips- one of the bedrooms is a study converted into a single bedroom, which was fine as we didnt have too many guests. Motorbike and car are provided for trips to the beaches/bars. Only very small negative was the swimming pool wasn't clean upon arrival, but we didnt mind as it was quickly cleaned for us and although the weather is not so friendly during our stay with raining and cloudy we still enjoy and have great time at the Villa... Thanks again to the landlord and the staff for what was a great stay for my birthday, I have already recommended it to several friends and I am planning my next visit already!

“Lovely Location” Our group of friends stayed here in September and the villa is lovely, right next door to all the shops and restaurants. (only 30 seconds walk to The Deck where we took breakfast every morning and playing pool in the evening). The villa staff were helpful and the housekeeper was more than happy to run out and pick up anything we wanted. The value was fantastic for such a large villa in Seminyak and taxis are always outside for day trips. Thanks to everyone for a lovely stay.

“Bella” Incredible 60 day stay at Villa Sherazade .The Horus room is beautiful ,very spacious, lovely en suit bathroom and very efficient air conditioning also King size bed very comfortable. Breakfast is fantastic very high quality produce , freshly made juices, full English breakfast including bread from Bali Buddha bakery plus there is the option of gluten free red rice bread. The staff at the Villa are exceptional I have not experienced such personal service anywhere else. Location is great there are many restaurants within walking distance they include Indonesian, Japanese ,a Pub called the Plumbers Arms also the amazing Bali Buddha . It is 10 min via car to the beach and close to great shopping in Seminyak . An afternoon swim in the pool to cool down and then a beautiful sunset from the upstairs terrace sipping on a Gin & Tonic. Thank you to Ian and the staff at Villa Sherazade for making my stay so wonderful. Pauline

“Life changing experience!” Please convey my heartfelt thoughts to Wayan and Putri for their exceptional care and love that they showed my Daughter and myself during our stay. I didn't give enough credit when Wayan asked me about my preferences when we switched to staying at the home closer into Ubud. We honestly preferred the Swallowhouse after experiencing the second location because of the comfort of the beds, the fantastic night air, and the incredible culinary delights that Putri graced us with! Being a Master Chef, I have great appreciation for the meals that she provided. Also, being a world traveller, I can't express enough gratitude for the care that Wayan took for our tours and giving us a life changing trip and precious memories that I hope to build upon when we return to Bali. As two very adventurous women traveling alone, he provided all the added information and kept us safe during our entire stay. We feel incredibly honored and blessed to have visited places like the temple ceremony, his son's school, and his home compound and village, along with the authentic crafts and artisan villages that he supports. We loved seeing the "real" Bali and meeting the generations of families who share their generations of knowledge and products for those interested in having that kind of experience. Wayan asked if there were any suggestions that we could give and honestly, there is only one to have greater internet access for both Mac and Pc owners. However, I say that reluctantly, because a huge part of the charm and beauty of the Swallowhouse lies in being able to really unplug and become immersed in the culture and experience of Bali. There will always be travelers who need the upscale comforts but let them go to the big hotels ~ you honestly don't want that kind of person staying with you anyway ~ that comes from my years of working at The Ritz Carlton and Four Seasons! (high maintenance people are not fun!)

“Amazing, authentic, gorgeous, romantic, and such sweet people!” My husband and I booked a last minute reservation with Jaya at one of his Bali Udud Villas. It was even better than we expected. Don't hesitate, stay here! We got to stay at two different villas and took a peek at a third, and all were amazing. Each villa is a true balinese escape. The design, architecture, gardens, views and pool were so breathtakingly beautiful. Jaya and his family were extremely sweet and took really good care of us. Wayan made us delicious breakfasts and served them right in our garden next to the pool. Jaya and his nephew gave us rides to wherever we wanted to go (much easier than driving and parking). But we just wanted to stay at the villa--really, it's amazing! Highly recommend! The villas are very well maintained, wifi is reliable, and location is ideal (just out of the madness of downtown Ubud). And very quiet (didn't notice any rooster noise).

“Perfect villa for family” We have a wonderful stay at this magical villa. Staff were fantastic. Great place to stay for two families. Plenty of room for kids to play.

“Best relaxing family holiday villa!” We spent a fabulous and relaxing 10 days here in January with our 2 boys aged 5 and 3, and my sister-in-law. The villa was beautiful, with large rooms, kingsize beds, rustic balinese decor with a very large mature, landscaped garden which was perfect for us as the kids had plenty of space to explore. Particularly important for us, was that the twin room adjoined one of the master bedrooms - making it all possible for a family with young kids. The infinity pool overlooking the terraced rice-paddies was beautiful and significantly bigger than I'd expected. The view gave the villa a sense of space you wouldn't get otherwise. We could easily spend all day at 'home' and not feel hemmed in. The kids spent hours in the pool everyday and the shallow, toddler's section at one end was particularly useful for our 3yo. The staff, Kadek and Iwan, bent over backwards to help in any way and became firm friends with us and the kids during our stay. They happily helped us to buy groceries, bintangs for the fridge, bunkus (takeaways) of nasi campur, ordered food for us from local restaurants, did our laundry, called us taxis and booked us massages whenever we asked. Kadek made sure she cooked us the biggest breakfasts ever - of bacon and eggs, nasi goreng, fruit platters and the kids' favourites - banana pancakes (which they had everyday!). Kadek and our nanny also trekked far and wide to purchase us a last minute birthday cake for our youngest who turned 3 during our stay. This was overall a great experience for us - a bit of luxury away from home, where we felt totally 'at home'. Thank you! We would definitely consider staying here again.

“What a great place to stay in the Ubud area!” If you are looking for a great place to stay in Ubud, try the Villa amrita! It really was the perfect place for me, to relax and rewind. I couldn't have hoped for a better place to stay. Although the place is not within walking distance of the Ubud centre itself, the villa shuttle to Ubud made it so easy to go there and come back, any time of the day. Undoubtedly, the helpful and fantastic staff with whom nothing is a problem and everything is possible, made it a very enjoyable stay. Special thanks to Wayan, Ayu, Made and Onk! I've been extremely impressed of the villa, with the privat pool and the fantastic garden. The Dhanya room I stayed in was stunning. It has a balcony that extends over steeply dropping rice terraces, with an incredible view. Everything is well decorated, with the attention to detail from the owners. Well done! I had a marvelous time and I will definitely come back, when traveling to Bali again!

“Great Villa in Ubud” Enjoyed our xmas stay here at this Villa. The Villa's are setup well for relaxing in Ubud. Sitting in the pool and watching the scenery is great. Max and his staff are very accommodating and will help you book the attractions in the area. The villa is a about 20 minute drive to the Ubud township so being away from the crowds and in the rice fields is the appeal here. All of the attractions however will do pickups for free which is a good way to get into Ubud town. Cheers

“Best accommodation of our entire trip” Myself and two friends travelled to Bali late in January, which was the first visit to Indonesia for all of us. Our first stop was Angel Villa and it was the best introduction to Bali we could possibly have asked for. Annie and Rod (as well as being fantastic hosts) are so knowledgeable not only of Balinese culture, but also of the local surrounds, and so for Bali novices like ourselves, we found ourselves saying "We'll ask Annie when we get back" whenever there was something we didn't fully understand, and without fail, they had the answers. Their recommendations were consistently spot on, not only for fantastic local places to eat and drink, but also for shopping destinations like for silver jewelery etc, and the best ways to get around - locally, as well as off to our next destination. We stayed in the Poolside room, which is the larger room of the two on offer, and is lovely and light, with fans and air-con to relieve the humid and hot temperatures. On days we weren't out exploring, the Villa was a fantastic place to relax - we spent a lot of time on the balai or relaxing by the pool, reading, playing cards and/or having a couple of bintangs. The gardens are exquisite and provide a brilliant oasis away from the hustle and bustle of the streets. Given it's a homestay there is a fully equipped kitchen, and while we used it for snacks only, if you were interested in cooking a 'proper' meal you'd find everything you need, and the local supermarket is a 5 min walk away. The location in Mas is great - out of the crazy-ness of Ubud which is a huge plus, but still easy enough to get in to Ubud if and when you want to. Local market is spitting distance away for all things fresh (and is a must visit), as are cheap warungs for delicious local style food, as well as slightly more expensive restaurant style places if you so desire. Great bar called Dstar which has live music a few times a week is also easy walking distance away. Oh, and did I mention the pool?!?! As hosts Annie and Rod are very respectful - there when you need them, but at the same time it really felt like we had the place to ourselves most of the time. There is no curfew, and we all felt very comfortable to come and go as we pleased. And I know it' might seem like a small thing, but over our couple of weeks in both Bali and on the Gili Islands, Angel Villa had by far the absolute best water pressure of all our accommodation choices! Loved staying here, would return without hesitation.
