“Relaxation” Rosebank Cottage offers peace and tranquility at an affordable price. The views from inside and out are quite spectacular. I fully expected to see a whale at any moment. Texada offers a variety of activities. Being an avid hiker and kayaker, there was no shortage of trails, beachcombing and scenic paddles, with "put ins" only minutes from the cottage. Our hosts, Karen and Clarence welcomed us with their vast knowledge of the area. I would definately recommend a stay at Rosebank Cottage for those seeking relaxation and serenity. Who knows maybe we will see you there, because we will be back.

Sand Dollar Log Cabin, Texada Island. Oceanfront with Hot Tub!

Texada Island cottage

“Quiet” We fundamentally enjoyed our week's stay at this cabin. We had a really great time, despite the absence of a dishwasher ;-) ! In the end, we did not even have time enough to fully explore the island ... Unfortunately, the road to Anderson Bay was too rough to make it there, even with our all-wheel-drive rental car: we tried but gave up halfway, being afraid we would strand in the middle of nowhere, many km from civilisation (= Bob's Lake) and without cell-phone reception. We did not encounter a single other car on that trip, all day long! We also liked the Heischolt lakes and Shingles beach. The Raven restaurant had nice food and the general store offered very nice bread! We had excellent wildlife sightings from the cabin, including a snake on the steps to the beach and a pod of transient orcas passing through Gillies Bay on the first evening! We also had nice bald-eagle views, including an adult picking up a dead dog shark from the beach (which we inspected the day before at close range) and bringing it to its chick in the nest a few 100 m along the beach (down the road to Shelter park). We will be back in the future!

“A Great Place to Stay!” When my husband & I were without residence due to our house being sold really quickly and us not being able to find appropriate accommodations, we were lucky enough to stay at the Two Eagles B&B; while continuing to search for new digs. What a fantastic place, and Carolyn & Steve are terrific hosts and friends. The view is wonderful, it's hard to get up to such a great view knowing that it's only temporary. The property is ideal and we felt so completely at home while there. If there is anywhere someone wants to get away too, it should be Two Eagles B&B;, we can't say enough good things about the place and Carolyn & Steve!

Rosebank Cottage by the Sea
Another wonderful holiday in Paradise

Another wonderful holiday on Texada Island, and once again a very relaxing and enjoyable stay at Rosebank Cottage. Whenever the stresses of big city life start to get us down, we can always recharge at Rosebank. Whether the magnificent views from the dining room or from the decks, the amazing sunrises , the marine life, it has to be seen to be appreciated. We found Rosebank to be clean, quiet and most comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped for preparing meals , and the grocery store is conveniently around the corner. As kayakers, there was suitable beach access only minutes away. The owners were very courteous, friendly and welcoming. They have a wealth of information about Texada Island, its history and geography, and for us being avid kayakers, they were very helpful with directions for other suitable launch sites. There is lots of terrific paddling around the island and many seals to greet you as you go. A big thank you to Karen & Clarence,...See you next year. Ps: If you sell, it will be a sad day , but hopefully the new owners will carry on the tradition and character of Rosebank Cottage.see more
Sand Dollar Log Cabin, Texada Island. Oceanfront with Hot Tub!
A perfect island getaway

We stayed at The Sand Dollar Log Cabin to celebrate a special occasion and get away from the city and it was absolutely perfect. We have stayed at many different vacation rentals and this may have been the most immaculate, well-thought-out rental yet. The place was spotless and everything you could want was there. We made all our meals there and it felt like home away from home. We had our young son with us and we were pleased to find a lovely brand new playground a 5 minute walk away. The location is the best on the island. The well-stocked general store (including a BC liquor store inside) is short stroll from the cabin. Gillies Bay is beautiful and the view cannot be beat; especially when you are soaking it all in from the hot-tub on the deck. We will definitely be back.see more
