“We'll be back!” If you're looking for someplace with attentiveness to all the details and more, Ele's Escape is it! Pet-friendly was my first clue it would be wonderful. But I had no idea the food would be so spectacular, the guest room filled with unexpected fun and comfort ( think amazing chocolate, homemade cookies, soft robes and lots more...). The bed was soo soft and cozy, the ocean within view and a 1 minute walk and the hosts incredible. Informative, welcoming and fun, they are some of the best we've experienced. A fantastic place to rejuvinate and play! Click on that reserve button and give yourself (and your pup!) a great gift! Mary M.

“Oh! such beautiful beach!” We did enjoy a lot our stay at Easgle's aerie. Sandy is a very nice hostess, very friendly. The appartment is clean, well decorated; kitchen is well furnished so we could cook the fresh seafood bought at the marina at French Creek. And now, the lanscape! It is gorgeous; beach is clean and easy to walk on at low-tide. Unfortunately, the eagles were on vacation on the continent as Sandy tells. Even though, the appartment is not oceanfront, we had total access to the patios and garden in front of their home.

Seaside Cottage 2 bedrooms on the Ocean, hot tub, gas fireplace, furnished deck
Campbell River log cabin
2 bedrooms / 1 bathroom / sleeps 6
“Right on the beach” I have stayed here often and every time it has been awesome. The hot tub on the front deck is located for privacy and the view is spectacular from inside or out. The cottages are bordered by evergreens on each side of the property, there are only two cottages on the property so booking far in advance is a good idea. A small mall is just a few hundred yards away, with a grocery store, pub and liquor store, drugstore and more

Tanglewood Beach House - West Coast Living at its best.
Parksville house
2 bedrooms / 2 bathrooms / sleeps 4
“Woodland setting and close to ocean, but still close to all amen” I have stayed at a lot of different rental properties and can honestly say that the Tanglewood Beach House is one of the best I have stayed at. They have a great book that the owners created outlining the area and what there is to do. It also includes a reference guide for the condo on simple things but things that if you don't live there you wouldn't know how to turn certain things on/off and which remote does what. The kitchen also has everything you need to cook with.

Blue Moon ~ Deluxe Mini Kitchenette ~ Inn of the Sea Resort

Studio / 1 bathroom / sleeps 2
“Bliss!” You won't be disappointed with this lovely condo. The view is spectacular with amazing sunrises and sunsets, the fresh scent of sea air and the accomodation is terrific. There's lots of room to spread out and enjoy. This was our second year at this condo and we decided that we'll be regular visitors year after year - it's just that good! We find that we can't help but unwind and relax here and each visit we plan to spend at few days on site (instead of venturing out) taking in the sea, relaxing beside the pool or having a swim and beach combing! Roz has thought of everything in the unit so you just need to bring your personal effects and you'll be well taken care of. The unit is very clean, beds and pillows are comfortable and there's no traces of pets from previous visits. The complex is very well maintained with a playground for the little ones, tennis court, several patios with Weber bbqs for everyone to use, pool and hot tub, poolside lounge chairs as well as tables and chairs, firepit, dock for your boat or perhaps fishing, even a herb garden. Looking forward to next year already!

“Great location!!!” We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Palmer House. The location was fantastic...a block from ocean, close to the grocery store, and we could easily walk to Beacon Hill Park and downtown. The house itself was very cozy and nicely furnished. It was also great to have off-street parking. Trish & Rick were lovely hosts and very accomodating. I have highly recommended this house to friends and family visiting Victoria and would most certainly stay again.

“Wow your place is such a restful spot” Jeannie, we can't thank you enough for hosting my wife and I recently at Beachwood Cottage. Your place was everything that we could have hoped for and more. It was the perfect nest for us to relax in the sun, breath in the ocean-fresh air, observe the birds and wild life and pick fresh tasty vegetables from your garden for our salad. When we arrived it was clean and as described on the web-site. What a welcoming experience. Thanks again and we both would't hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking for great value in a natural setting. Dick and Elaine Kirby

Azure Blue Beach House ~*~ Near By Telegraph Cove
Port McNeill house
2 bedrooms / 2 bathrooms / sleeps 2
“Heaven On Earth” My wife and I stayed in the Azure Blue Beach House for a week in August 2014. In practical terms it is extremely well appointed. The kitchen and bathrooms are equipped and finished to a very high standard with modern facilities, the beds are extremely comfortable and the whole place is clean and spacious. If you need modern conveniences they are all there: TV, audio, wi-fi etc. It is also well located, with Port McNeill just a 5 minute drive away and Telegraph Cove about 30 minutes. The latter is the base for many leisure trips, including whale watching, grizzly bear watching, First Nation culture tours, kayaking, etc. Port McNeill is surprisingly charming for a working port, with well-stocked supermarkets and several good restaurants (don't miss 'Northern Lights' and its excellent seafood) not to mention the friendly people and ferry links to the islands. All in all this is the ideal base for a North Vancouver Island vacation. However, whilst all of that is important, it completely misses the point in explaining why the Azure Beach House is a slice of Heaven and reaches into your very soul. It's high picture windows and wrap-around deck look out over a panorama of exquisite charm - the lawn rolls down to a narrow strip of pebble beach and then the calm waters of the idyllic bay to small Haddington Island and, beyond it, Malcolm Island. But this is not one scene, it is an infinite number of unique vistas, constantly evolving. Blink and you miss one. Which explains why it is mesmerising, almost compulsive, to watch, and so deeply satisfying to be a part of. At one moment bright sunlight floods the view, making the waves sparkle and the fish flash like flames as they jump for joy in its warm embrace. Then clouds partly obscure the sunlight so that it sends down shafts of gold, like spotlights, highlighting points on the landscape that had previously gone unnoticed. Wisps of mist appear and build to form layers above the sea, then thicken and wrap around boats and islands alike. Then, as suddenly as it came, it ebbs away to allow the setting sun to set fire to the grass and trees below as it starts its daily dance with the pale moon, finally giving way to its white brilliance as the junior Bald Eagle at lasts stops calling to its parents for food and settles down in the branches of the tree next to us for the night. And the Azure Blue Beach House is not just a witness to all this glory, but a part of it, reflecting and absorbing light and dark and emitting its own aura of tranquillity, peace and contentment to inhabit the firmament. In another time and place, my wife or I will occasionally say "I wonder what the scene from the Azure Blue Beach House is now?" and we will sit in silent contemplation, wishing with all our hearts we could be there to know. Thank you, Rosalind, for allowing it to be ours, if only for a week.

“A lovely place!” I recently had my parents out for a visit (they live in Toronto( and they stayed in the Oak Queen suite in Tamsin McIntosh's beautiful heritage house on Linden street in Victoria. My parents were delighted by the historic character of the house and the lovely furnishings and comfortable bed. Tamsin was so helpful and accommodating. She really made their stay perfect! Oceans Tide Resort - Inn of the Sea Condo Nanaimo
Nanaimo apartment
2 bedrooms / 2 bathrooms / sleeps 6
“A Little Taste of Heaven” This was our 8th trip to the Resort, and have stayed in this condo the last 5 years...What a wonderful place to stay and get some rest & relaxation. The resort is beautiful & there's always something to see & do if you wish. The condo is all you can possibly want - large & airy, well-furnished and a great kitchen! The views are spectacular and you feel as if you are the only ones there. The privacy of this unit is great - yet you're close to everything - firepit by the water, pool, hot tub, tennis courts, bbq patio and even a kiddie play area. During our month here we saw pods of whales, seals, otters, hummingbirds & lots of eagles from our balcony. We even went clamming @ low tide and had 3 feasts of crab caught off the end of the dock! What more could you ask for? This place is what we consider a little taste of heaven on the west coast, and after a month here, returning to ONtario makes us look forward to returning again next spring.

“A Great Place to Stay!” When my husband & I were without residence due to our house being sold really quickly and us not being able to find appropriate accommodations, we were lucky enough to stay at the Two Eagles B&B; while continuing to search for new digs. What a fantastic place, and Carolyn & Steve are terrific hosts and friends. The view is wonderful, it's hard to get up to such a great view knowing that it's only temporary. The property is ideal and we felt so completely at home while there. If there is anywhere someone wants to get away too, it should be Two Eagles B&B;, we can't say enough good things about the place and Carolyn & Steve!

NEW BEACHFRONT CONDO - ULTIMATE UNOBSTRUCTED VIEWS
Nanaimo apartment
2 bedrooms / 2 bathrooms / sleeps 6
“Peaceful Oasis” We had the extreme pleasure of staying at Patricia and Scott's condo. What a magical place. The location could not have been better. Waking up in the morning with the ocean alongside the master bedroom and then spending the day gazing out at the unobstructed views. It took me an hour to jealously wander about the condo in awe of all of the perfect details. Everything was though of - you could easily host a dinner party for 8 here and not be missing a thing. We have stayed at the most exclusive resorts on the Island, but never have we felt as if we were truly coming "home" when we returned to our suite, like we did here. We have adopted the condo, and I have adopted the perfectly situated chaise lounge for hours of reading and gazing. It is dead quiet, with lots to observe in the ocean... that bay is always changing. We did a short (6km) hike nearby and strolled on the beach. Dug up and steamed clams as well as shucked oysters off the beach and pan fried them. Cannot wait to return! Thanks Patricia and Scott!
