Vancouver house

“Impeccable accommodations” We came to Vancouver for a family visit and could not have been luckier to stay at Haddon House. It was beautifully appointed, well stocked and centrally located to our needs. Our hosts, Johannes & Marie-Louise were delightful and most helpful. The proximity to Deer Lake was a bonus for lovely walks and biking. All in all, a top notch experience.

House i - Central downtown Vancouver

Vancouver b&b

1 bedroom / 1 bathroom / sleeps 2

“Handy” My initial check in didn't start of that great. My Room with TV/Balcony was given to someone else who had checked in earlier but this was sorted very quickly. The House has 2 levels I believe, and if your room in on the top level you will Not have access to the common living room and not all rooms have tv. Best to ask which level you'll be in. The Wooden floors make sound travel, so don't expect to have a late sleep in with someone using the kitchen early morning. Other than these gripes I found the location very handy to bakery's, fruit shop and takeaways. Communication with owner is easy and Good.

Great Location, 2 bedroom trendy Main Street

Vancouver apartment

2 bedrooms / 1 bathroom / sleeps 4

“This apartments well worth staying at!” This apartment was great! We absolutely loved the location in Mt. Pleasant - it is literally less than half a block from Main street, the bus to downtown, ATMs and drug store, restaurants etc. It was a great jumping off point for other adventures in Vancouver. The apartment is just as shown in the photos, and has many thoughtful touches like the emergency goodies basket, coffee, tea, and cooking basics, good towels and sheets etc. Heidi even put some fresh cream in the fridge before our arrival for coffee in the AM. She was a great host - she gave us a lot of privacy, but also checked in on us. The coffee machine wasn't working our first day and she replaced it that day with a Keurig machine and even brought us down two cups from her own kitchen! The apt was quiet for sleeping, and also had an array of TV options to use (although we were out and about most of the time). We had 3 people staying there and it was a nice amount of space since we are all light packers. The apt is very thoughtfully laid out to ensure total privacy of guests - separate entrance, private windows etc. Very safe area as well.

Kitsilano's best, unique Coach House, license# 20-159642

Vancouver house

2 bedrooms / 1 bathroom / sleeps 7

“Stylish, Kid-Friendly Apartment in Fun Neighborhood” I recently traveled to Vancouver with my husband and 18-month old son. The Coach House was such a wonderful home base, located within walking distance of some great food and shopping in Kitsilano. The highlights: - We really appreciated how kid-friendly the Coach House and neighborhood was. The toy basket, pack and play, access to your sandbox and highchair were such thoughtful touches. Such and environment makes all the difference when traveling with a toddler! -We loved the clean design of the Coach House. Great job on striking a balance between utility and style. - The accommodations were private, quiet and convenient. -The location can't be beat. We were able to walk to a different park or beach with our son everyday. There are also numerous markets within a few blocks if you want to make use of the Coach House's well-appointed kitchen. Also, Kitsilano is a short drive or bus ride to other great city attractions such as Granville Island, The University of BC Museum of Anthropology and downtown. If we're ever in Vancouver again, we'll be back!

Fabulous View over False Creek

Vancouver house

3 bedrooms / 2 bathrooms / sleeps 6

“OMG -- It's the view!!” I feel so lucky to have stumbled across Professor Dean's listing! His home is beautiful, perched on the 16th floor facing out over False Creek. Had we done nothing but sat in that living room, or stood on that balcony, and looked out over the city, we would have been thrilled with our vacation. This is a lovely, lovely vacation rental! Beyond that, the location was perfect for walking to Chinatown, the Science museum and the hike/bike path. A short drive took us to Yaletown. Five minutes away, we found a grocery store downtown. I can't even describe our reaction when we opened that front door and were greeted by that view! In addition, though Dr. Dean's regular greeter was away, the substitutes were lovely people who welcomed us and showed us around. This was a positive experience from beginning to end. Thank you, James!

MYRTLE SUITE - MOUNTAIN VIEW; CENTRAL, LOVELY AREA

Vancouver house

1 bedroom / 1 bathroom / sleeps 4

“A lovely suite in a good location.” Myrtle suite is a lovely place to stay. You can see the mountains of North Vancouver across the Burrard inlet from the lounge window which is breathtaking on a clear day. A short walk away there is a lovely children's park. You can easily get a bus to central Vancouver from a nearby stop and there are good food shops about 15 minutes walk away on East Hastings street. The suite is comfortable and homely with a wonderfully comfortable bed, high quality shower, spacious kitchen with dishwasher and both washing machine and dryer. About Vancouver

Pristine wilderness and cosmopolitan pleasures are united in the beautiful coastal city of Vancouver. A gateway to the Canadian Rockies, Vancouver has some of the best winter sports opportunities in the world. If you like to downhill ski or snowboard, the famous mountain at Whistler is one of the world's most popular winter destinations, as well as one of the city's top attractions.

If you've already made your winter plans, Vancouver is also a wonderful place to visit in the summer. A coastal city, Vancouver is just a stone's throw from beautiful sand beaches along Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands. The unspoiled coastline is an ideal place for an eco-adventure, especially by kayak. Alternately, you could plan a day hike in the neighboring mountains to swim in one of the many clear mountain lakes.

The third largest city in Canada, Vancouver offers urban excitement in addition to beautiful wilderness and outdoor sports. There is a growing art scene, with many fine art galleries in Vancouver's downtown district, as well as in the surrounding communities of Victoria and Wells. Vancouver is also a food-lover's paradise. Here, you can feast on wonderfully fresh seafood every day of the week. Accompany your meal with a local beer or hearty glass of red wine produced by the local breweries and wineries of Southern British Columbia. On the weekends, be sure to check out one of Vancouver's charming farmer's markets, where you can pick up local products like honey, jams, local cheese, and fresh produce.

Here are some of the best things to do in Vancouver:

  • Vancouver Art Gallery: One of the largest museums in Canada, this gallery's permanent collection includes work by Chagall, as well as important regional artists, like Emily Carr.
  • Stanley Park: A unique 100-acre park bordered by the seawall promenade, this public space is a scenic place to stroll, bike, or rollerblade alongside locals.
  • Whistler: Whistler Mountain was the site of the 2010 Winter Olympics. For skiers and snowboarders, it is one of the best winter resorts in North America.
  • Museum of Anthropology: This fascinating museum contains art and artifacts from Vancouver's native cultures, including impressive carved totem poles.
  • Gulf Islands: Located just between Vancouver and the mainland, this small island chain is a wonderful place to go sailing, fishing, and hiking.
  • Public Market: Enjoy the range of delicious delicacies at this local food market, located in a former industrial space on Granville Island.

If you are planning to visit Vancouver, consider a vacation rental on Kitsilano Point, where you will be near the beach, as well as the attractions in downtown Vancouver. Snagging a rental by Little Fort Langley will put you right in the middle of Vancouver's most historic districts while a ski cabin in Yaletown is ideal for those looking to hit the slopes. For the whole family, a villa near Whistler will guarantee a good time, any season of the year.

2 bedroom suite near Commercial Dr.
A great spot in a safe inviting neighborhood

My family, a guest from Europe and I spent a restful night in this well located apartment. We all agreed our stay was very comfortable and met all or our needs perfectly. The unit was clean, with two nice sized bedrooms, a nice living room and a more than adequate kitchen and bathroom. The friendly hostess lives above the unit and stopped in to ensure we had all we needed. We walked a short couple of blocks to access public transit (bus then Sky Train) to make our way around town. It was very convenient and easy to use.see more
COMFYSUITES: Vancouver Downtown Accommodations
Conveniently located apartment in downtown Vancouver

The location of the apartment is great, right in the middle of downtown and literally across the street from the Law Courts designed by architect Arthur Erickson and landscape designer Cornelia Oberlander - a must-see modernist masterpiece (go to the roof!) Within walking distance to many sightseeing objectives in Vancouver. The windows face the side of the street (back alley) so looking down from the (otherwise nice) balcony is not the prettiest sight - looking up, one can see part of Granville street, one of the busiest streets with nice vibrant neon lights at night and according noise (particularly during the weekend, Friday night!) Bring ear plugs if you want to sleep undisturbed. The queen-size bed is very comfortable and the extendable sofa in the living is fine too. The kitchen and bathroom are clean and had all needed supplies; they are a bit outdated though (dishwasher is old and funny to use, towels were dark brown) - in my opinion, this aspect doesn't justify the $500 deposit. The host Alicia Chia was very nice, helpful and accommodating, especially on our last day when we were allowed to check out later since we had our flight in the evening. Much appreciated! Overall, a very good experience and I'm recommending this place for a stay in Vancouver.see more
Large cozy & quite 2 bedroom private suite space
Quiet location, lovely home and friendly owner

The location was ideal for our needs as were we keen to get out and see the city often. The main attractions were often no more than 30 minutes away in the car (we hired a rental) and also some great places worth seeing further afield if you so choose, like the little town of Squamish up north along a stunning coastal route. Even though we had never been before, we always felt safe in the neighbourhood and any queries we had were answered by the owner. Having only seen them twice during our stay, it was evident they had our privacy in mind and wanted to make us feel like could just relax on holiday. There were two good sized bedrooms which worked out great for our party of three though would work even better for two couples or parents with younger children. The bathroom effectively en-suite to one bedroom, perhaps more appropriate for those in need of a close convenience! This was fresh and clean and everything worked fine, the shower head did move around a little but this was only a minor issue. Also there were only a few towels that we could see so I would recommend bringing your own if you plan on staying a little longer. The kitchen was fairly well equipped although did lack a toaster which I suppose us Brits are quite picky about! We were able to toast bread in the oven during breakfast so again we worked round it. Often holiday rentals are bare boned so it was nice to see some familiar condiments in the fridge. There were also a few other things here and there but we made an effort to replace what we had used. The pool table in the lounge was a great way to relax and wind down after a long day out and I was in there every night bar one to make the most of it as I love playing pool. We were able to access Netflix on the TV too which was a little home away from home. There was so much to see and do, I only wish we'd had longer and we would have been happy to stay here for many more days. Overall we were pleased with our stay and would recommend this place to others.see more

Room review

The location was fantastic; right in between Robson and Davie and walkable to the water and ferry access. Rooms and kitchen were a bit run down in comparison to the pictures but they were clean and it was awesome to have a bathroom in the suite. Property managers were very accommodating and quick to reply. I had a great stay.see more

Great price and location for what we needed

My partner and I stayed in one of the downstairs rooms, which had everything we needed for our trip. The location was great and very close to desirable areas in Vancouver, including bus stops, etc. Check in and check out was very easy and Kai was responsive when needed. We didn't spend an enormous amount of time at house i as we explored Vancouver, to be expected, but the house and rooms have all the amenities you need and it's clean.see more
