Denmark Stage Stop House an equestrian estate cradled between Mt Washington Valley & Bridgton Maine. Perfect location for winter sports with Shawnee Peak Ski and Snowboard Resort is 5.4 miles away. Surrounded by Maine towns such as Bridgton, Fryeburg, Sebago, Naples and Brownfield, Maine. New this year bring your horse – additional fees apply (spring/summer/fall only). Whether you like skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing and more - we are in the heart of it. Perfect for Bridgton Academy parents.
Perhaps you are a travel nurse, locum tenen, healthcare professional or company executive here for a short term assignment. Our Shawnee accommodations are just perfect for that with all the comfort and amenities you won't find at that old farmhouse or rustic cabin. We can offer longer stays at discounted rates - so contact us through Airbnb so we may discuss further and remember all utilities and Internet is included in that special rate. Also if you are here for longer than 30 days and it is work related the State of Maine does not require that you pay taxes or that we collect them as long as it is verified that it is for work or employment purposes. We only offer these short term extended stays from October through May. We also launder your bedding linens and towels on a weekly or as needed basis for you.
We are excited to let our guests know we have established a partnership with the Mount Washington Auto Road and Great Glen Trails that will allow us to give our guests discount vouchers. Mount Washington is a can’t miss adventure where you can either take a guided tour by one of their vans or drive your own car up the Mount Washington Auto Road. We are also able to offer discount vouchers to guests that offer FREE use of the Great Glen Trails system for biking, running or walking and a 50% Discount on 4-Hour bike rental packages at Great Glen Trails. The Shawnee Suite with 2 bedrooms and bedroom #1 with a full double bed and bedroom #2 has a full double futon style bunk bed with a twin on top. Both the double bed have upgraded mattresses, not typical flimsy futon mattresses. The living room has a couch that converts to two twin beds for additional guests. The full modern kitchen has a full-size gas range, refrigerator, dishwasher, double basin stainless steel sink, microwave, coffee maker, pancake/waffle/omelet maker, all dishware, utensils, cookware and more. The Shawnee Suite has its own private yard with gas grill and outdoor seating.
The Denmark Stage Stop House number one goal is the comfort of our guests. We offer amenities you find in your favorite hotels but with the privacy of your own space. After a busy day of swimming, canoeing, hiking during the summer and fall months or skiing or snowboarding during Maine’s winter months come home to comfortable beds with their freshly laundered and pressed sheets and pillowcases.
Upon your arrival you will be greeted with a welcome basket including Maine made products, cereal choices for your first morning, coffee, tea and hot chocolate, fruit, English muffins & farm fresh eggs along with our local newspaper. You will also be greeted with some bedside chocolate truffles from our local chocolatier the Bavarian Haus
We are located in Denmark Maine just one mile outside Bridgton Maine and 5 miles from Shawnee Peak Ski and Snowboard Resort. We are only a short distance from Fryeburg Maine, Sebago Maine, Naples Maine, Brownfield Maine home of the Stone Mountain Arts Center a popular entertainment venue. We are also a favorite of parents of students attending Bridgton Academy and local summer camps such as Winona, Wyonegonic& Camp Walden along with a host of other camps in Bridgton Maine and the surrounding towns.
