“An all round first class house and location.” Indoor facilities first class. Bags of space without ten of us "living on top of each other" Good pub doing huge meals at good prices only walking distance away. The week we were at Ipstones was not good but the log fire with no restrictions on use of logs was a first class bonus. No shortage of facilities in the catering - loads of cooking utensils and glasses etc. All ion all a very pleasurable and memorable stay.

“Very close to alton Towers” Ideal location for alton Towers. Good size property. Kitchen nice and large. Family friendly accomodation. Good size garden and parking. Good communication and helpfulness from owners. Overall experience very good minor issue with showers {Used to power shower} and would have liked more towels. Nice touches with games etc and a welcome pack with local info. Village was a mile away and no pavements for us Townies need a car if you have children.

“Interesting hideaway” We stayed here as a family group and found we had everything we needed. It was a little bit difficult to find - 2 of the 3 groups of us got lost on the way there. The parking for 3 cars was a bit of a squeeze but we managed. It's a lovely house with an interesting history and it's fun to see the 'Homes under the Hammer' video. There is some lovely countryside nearby and we enjoyed a walk to Lud's Church and The Roaches.

“We enjoyed a lovely week” Small but beautifully formed. This cottage is perfect for two people to enjoy a wonderful holiday in fabulous surroundings. The owner Ken could not have been more helpful, everything worked and we relaxed completely. The walking is great both from the door and from a short drive away. “Pet friendly and peaceful.” A delightful, cosy cottage ideal for a peaceful break. Our dogs were made to feel very welcome. Situated on a farm, there were lots of places to walk and a very good pub serving excellent food was within walking distance. The addition of coal and other fire making materials made the cottage warm and cosy once the night set in. The Dales are only a short drive away along with quaint market towns that have quirky shops and lots of cafes.

“A fabulous family holiday, great for all ages” A lovely cottage, within walking distance of alton Towers for 4 20+ year-olds. We had a lovely relaxing weekend while they were all out! “Excellant and comfortable break” Superb accomodation. Excellant location for alton Towers, walking distance and saved hassle of parking. Accomodation was very spacious and ample room for 8 adults and 2 children. Great having the 4 bathrooms. The scenery surrounding the cottage was breath taking and created a very relaxing atmosphere making us feel rested after out holiday. The living area was spacious and plenty room for all to sit comfortably.

“A perfect base for exploring the Peaks.” When we get to go on holiday we want things to be smooth and easy ! This holiday cottage was perfect for that - Ashbourne is easy to get to ( we travelled by car), the cottage is just off the Market Place in the centre of town,so no problem to find,and the arrangements regarding getting the keys, etc could not have been simpler. We particularly liked that the cottage was so close to everything - shops, restaurants and the very helpful tourist information office, yet once through the gate it's like being in a secret little world ! Frith's cottage is well equipped,had everything we needed and was very comfortable. It was nice to feel 'at home' after days out walking in the beautiful countryside that is all around the area. We visited 'Dovedale' - a must-see, Alton Towers, Matlock, Bakewell and Buxton. All within easy reach by road and all with plenty to see and do. Looking forward to a return visit !
