Description

Let our three-bedroom farmhouse rental in Southwest Virginia be your home for a few nights, or longer. Valilee Farms is your perfect vacation getaway in the mountains. Centrally located in far Southwest Virginia, numerous outdoor and tourist activities are nearby.

Nestled in a valley just below the tallest peak in two counties (Lee County and Scott County), Valilee Farms is a working farm, with more than 400 apple trees, cattle and a wide range of vegetables. The farm received the Outstanding Forest Steward Award from the Virginia Department of Forestry in June 2010. Four years later, we were honored to receive the Clean Water Farm Award from our state’s Department of Conservation and Recreation. Our farmhouse rental is located about a mile away from the apple orchard.

The farm, located just off the Crooked Road and the Wilderness Road has historical significance, too, as Daniel Boone's oldest son was killed near here by Indians in 1773.

Our farm has been featured in the "Best of Country" in Country Magazine. We are only a short drive away from the Wise County community made famous in the movie "Big Stone Gap." Be sure to read the book and visit some of the sites from the book and film during your stay.

Our rental home sleeps eight, features two queen beds and one full bed, along with a fold-out sofa bed, and includes a dishwasher in the eat-in-kitchen, a washer and dryer, and iron and ironing board. All linens and towels are provided.

Our farmhouse has a master suite with a full bathroom, another full bathroom, a fully equipped kitchen, a covered front porch and enclosed (and heated) back porch, and offers two televisions with access to Netflix, Paramount Plus, and our local CBS affiliate. Although a peaceful creek fed by a local stream runs near the house, we have public water. The house features wireless internet.

Our farmhouse is the ideal lodging for your family getaway or reunion in the mountains. Join us at the family homestead for a weekend, or stay longer.

For the business traveler, we are located close to the business centers of Lee, Scott and Wise counties, and their county seats of Jonesville, Gate City and Wise, and are an easy drive from Kingsport, Bristol and Johnson City.

Featuring nearby hiking opportunities, accessibility to hunting and fishing, and located near a wealth of cultural and tourist attractions, our home is perfect to be your family’s home for a stay.

In the summer, you'll enjoy hummingbirds on the front porch or butterflies and hummingbirds out back through the kitchen window.

Our farmhouse is NON-SMOKING. We do allow your cats and dogs to visit with you, although we ask that they stay on the enclosed back porch.

“A simple retreat”

The country quiet setting made us not want to leave. We would make this our first choice should we visit this area again. We loved our stay and the comfort of home.
