All the amenities of a fine hotel plus the spacious privacy you seek in a rental home! Just bring your food and clothes and we provide most everything else.
Hand towels, bath towels, and wash cloths, shampoo/conditioner, soap, toilet paper, tissues, blow dryer, lighted make-up mirror provided. All bed linens provided.
Cottage offers a fully functional kitchen with microwave, stove, refrigerator, dishwasher, coffee maker, and drink blender. Kitchen is fully equipped. Dish clothes, dish towels, dish soap, cleaning supplies, paper towels, paper plates, disposable cups, napkins, disposable cutlery provided. Coffee, powder creamer, coffee filters, salt & pepper provided.
42" Flat screen color TV in family room, 28" Flat screen color TV in master bedroom, and 28" color TV/DVD/VCR combo in guest room. Working fire places in master bedroom and family room. Outdoor stone fire pit with fire wood provided.
This lovely historic country cottage is nestled on the bank of the scenic Monocacy River on a 30-acre estate surrounded by mature forest. The cottage has all the charm of the past with all the modern amenities needed for comfort. Sit or dine on the beautiful pergola that overlooks the river and enjoy the peace and quiet that only Mother Nature can provide. Get back to nature with a peaceful canoe ride down the lazy Monocacy River in one of two canoes available with property rental. Relax inside the beautifully decorated cottage and catch up on your reading or watch a good movie. Both bedrooms have bedside views of the river and the master bedroom suite offers a crystal chandelier and fireplace for ambiance. Front porch and pergola offer seating and dining options to enjoy the beauty around you. Dine with a river view at our patio style table with umbrella that seats 6. Fire pit (wood provided) with camping chairs are a great way to unwind and enjoy the canopy of stars that govern our country nights.
Our historic country cottage will charm you as it lulls you back to a simpler time in history! Direct access to the Monocacy River makes this cottage a fishing and canoeing enthusiasts dream! Do you love the mountains? Do you like to bike, hike and swim? The Catoctin Mountains are practically at our back door.Are you a Civil War history buff? Thousands of visitors each year come to the Gettysburg Battlefield to learn about our past and to remember those who gave their lives for this great country. The estates cottage is only 25 minutes away from the historic town of Gettysburg.
Do you like winter sports? We are only 20 minutes from Ski Liberty where guests can enjoy skiing, snowboarding and cross country skiing. Love to golf? There are several golf courses within minutes of the estate.We are only 7 miles from the historic town of Emmitsburg, MD where the The National Shrine of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton, the National Fire Training Academy, and Mount St. Mary's University are located. Beautiful and historic Frederick Maryland is an easy 30 minute drive from us and offers a host of entertainment and historic options.The estate is conveniently located 1 hour from Harrisburg and Baltimore, 1 1/2hours from Washington DC, 1 1/2 hours from Amish Country in Lancaster County, PA,and approximately 1 hour from Hershey Park.
Our historic cottage is a perfect spot for a romantic couple get-away or a small family looking to enjoy all the fun activities the area has to offer!
