Description
In this house the young W.A.Mozart played on April 3rd 1770 during his first Italian journey, hosted by Corilla Olimpica in her famous and fascinating cultural saloon. Napoleone Bonaparte wanted a still existing marble slab at the entrance of the palace to remember her.
Corilla, celebrated also by Madame De Stael in "Corinne ou l'Italie", was appointed Court Poetess by the Granduca di Toscana and by the Zarina of Russia. She celebrated with her "improvviso" poems most of the main Italian happenings of the XVIII century among Rome, Florence and Bologna. This is the right place to spend some time visiting and studying Florence.
All the Museums and art masterpieces are around you and you can reach them with very short walks, the house is 100m from the Dome. There are wonderful sights on the Medici Chapels and the Church of San Lorenzo, on the north side, and on the Dome on the South side. The photographs showed are taken from the house's windows. The apartment has been restored to give a sight on the past of Florence.

1st IMPORTANT ALERT: Guests are requested to pay to the owner, at their arrival, the Tourist Tax to the Municipality of Florence. The amount is calculated in measure of €4,00/person/night. Children under 12 yo and certified disabled people are exempt from paying the tax. The owner will issue a payment receipt.
2nd IMPORTANT ALERT: Guests are required to provide a paper document upon arrival.

“Wonderful apartment”
