Description

No.3 is a one bedroom very spacious 1st floor apartment which has been lovingly renovated to a high standard combining modern features such as central heating, insulation, great shower etc with some original features such as internal exposed stone walls.

The Old Convent was originally built as a church in 1842, then converted into a convent 'St Scholastica's Priory' in 1891, the nun's took residence in 1892 until 1922 when the remaining nun's were moved to Holme Eden Abbey. Some of the nun's are buried in the graveyard at Fort Augustus Abbey, half a mile from the convent on the shores of Loch Ness.

We are close to main road with the convent woods to rear giving you privacy, and a fantastic view of golf course and Ben Tee to front.

The property is ready for guests arrival from 4pm unless otherwise arranged, we ask that guests leave by 10am on day of departure as we need time to clean for next guests.

Chris is able to offer both guitar (beginner/intermediate) & fiddle (beginner) lessons to anyone who fancies a go.

Getting around

There is a bus service between the main towns around the area however we do recommend that you have your own transport to really see the best of what is on offer in this area.

Interaction with guest

We, Felicity & Chris are local and live in one end of the convent and are able to suggest many wonderful day trips combining superb scenic drives and walks, with castles, brochs and ruins that you probably won't find in any guide book. We will give you the keys and show you around the apartment on arrival and are on hand if you have any questions at all.

House rules

The apartment is not suitable for young children, we allow children over the age of 16.
We have a quiet time 9pm - 9am as we are trying to ensure all our guests enjoy a peaceful holiday.
We allow one dog but they are not allowed in the bedroom or on furniture and must be kept on a lead around the building as the property is not fenced off. Please ask first.

Fab apartment everything you could need a definite home from home experience, very clean and situated in a great place to explore the highlands. Hosts were knowledgeable about the local area and very friendly nothing was to much trouble for them. Would definitely book and stay here again. Definitely recommend Felicity and Chris’s apartment
