COVID-19 NOTE

Because of the daily changes involving our knowledge of  COVID-19 we are dealing with requests to stay with us on a  1-to-1 basis and have temporarily turned off instant booking.  We have increased our minimum stay to 14 days,  ask that you hunker down on the ranch as a stay-in-place site, that there be no touchpoints between you and us and added other health and safety precautions.  We will provide our full protocol for everyone who inquires.

Ever wished you had an aunt with a country place? High Hope Ranch's Habari Guest House is the next best thing! We offer Hill Country seclusion and some 25 miles of hiking trails just 1.5 hours south of Dallas/Ft. Worth.

Our 5 bedrooms are spread throughout the house. There are two bedrooms (1 king and 1 queen) off the kitchen, 2 (1 King and 1 Queen) off the living room and one in-between (2 single beds) so you can divide the night owls from the early birds!

We have three adjoining living areas with 3 single futons (one is kid-sized) and 2 'cuerpo y media" futons (big enough for 2 kids, but just shy of a full double bed) and a comfy leather couch spread throughout (I've listed the futons under 'sofa beds' below, but they are much more comfortable!) our three contiguous living areas.

There is a kitchen table for 8, plus tables on the back patio and front porch. The front porch runs the whole front of the house and overlooks "Grandmother Oak" and Habari pond. Deer, birds and other wildlife entertain 24/7.

Habari is just one of our three Glen Rose Guest Houses at High Hope Ranch.

We are just 15 minutes from Glen Rose and share fence lines with Fossil Rim Wildlife Center. We hear the red deer bugling in the fall, and sometimes get lucky and see giraffe or zebra from our hiking trails.

Getting around

We are out in the country with no public transportation services available. Once you arrive, you are encouraged to hike, but you can also drive to some of our hiking trailheads.

Interaction with guest

We offer both self-check-in and an orientation to our trails and the house. We work hard to do all of the necessary communication before you arrive so that once you are here, you have all of the privacy you want and need! There is always someone available to help you during your stay, as we have 6 team members living on our 1100 acres!

We had a really great time staying here. We enjoyed the fishing, hiking, and the house was wonderful!!! Will be going back!!!
