Description
This property is warm and welcoming, is in excellent condition with all amenities provided including a welcome pack of milk, tea, coffee and sugar.

It is situated in a large well kept garden with unobstructed view of the countryside. It is very central for exploring the county of Caithness and Sutherland with good local amenities to suit all kinds of activities. River Thurso runs through the village and is well known for salmon fishing.
Thurso has good shopping, golf course, cinema, beach, pubs and restaurants. Wick has good shopping, golf course, pubs and restaurants. There are ferry services from Scarbster, Gills and John O' Groats proved a service to Orkney.
Horse riding facilities are available in the village. There is a hotel that serves good food, an Indian restaurant, a grocery shop, garage and a Post Office in the village.

Response from the owner 3 stars seems harsh considering all the good points. It is difficult to cater for someone with asthma especially when you don’t know. But fair enough there was dust on top of the wardrobe, which has been removed. The small amount of dust on other surfaces was continuously occurring due to the hot dry conditions and the windows open. But I am sorry Tim suffered an asthma attack but having asthmatics in my family it is very difficult to determine the cause. We have many returning guests and have had many praising reviews. We also have the cottage left in various conditions of cleanliness but take it on the chin as we did this time. I will leave it to other readers to determine the balance between this one and the others.
