“Comfy cottage, brilliant location”

Reviewed 13 Aug 2019

Stayed in Chancery cottage with my parents and dog for 4 nights,we found the cottage comfortable and quirky and in a fab location in Hay with everything within a few minutes walk and with the benefit of private parking which was very useful, the cottage was clean and well equipped and the shower was fabulous, very powerful! The only minor niggle was that the garden furniture was very uncomfortable and could do with being updated to something a bit more modern but that's us just being fussy.....we loved the cottage an Hay and will definitely be going back!! Thank you Sue for a wonderful break.

Response from the owner So pleased you enjoyed your break and thank you for your comments. There are outdoor seating pads in the cupboard under the stairs for the garden furniture, so, to make sure guests are aware I've added a note in the file. The garden furniture has been up cycled with bespoke British oak slats added for comfort and durability. It would be a shame to change these as they suit the character of the cottage but understand your concern so will replace one bench for a more contemporary design. Look forward to you all returning to Chancery, best wishes.

“A wonderful little cottage”

Reviewed 20 Jul 2019

Chancery cottage was perfect for our trip to Hay on Wye. The cottage had everything we needed for our stay... lovely comfy beds too! Very clean and tidy, with a great kitchen.,bathroom and furnishings. Located in the heart of Hay - with walks ( our dogs loved walking to The Warren and swimming from the beach area) straight from the door. So many great well priced restaurants and pubs to chose from too after a hard day walking. All in all a lovely dog friendly cottage... which suited us all perfectly! Thank-you
