Description from owner
Description
Glorig Croft House is in the spectacular setting of Beadersaig, less than one mile from Husinish Beach (voted best beach in the UK by the Guardian newspaper!) on the north west Atlantic coast of the Isle of Harris. Travel along the dramatic 13 mile single track road, passing the front door of Amhuinnsuidhe Castle and Bay, and enjoy the breathtaking views over to Taransay and the beaches of South Harris. Golden beaches, sea lochs, hill and peninsula walks are all within a 10 minute stroll. The sea views, cosy conservatory, garden river, open peat fire and original tongue and groove interiors all help ensure a memorable stay.
GLORIG has been renovated throughout in 2020 which has refreshed the whole house and now has a beautiful family bathroom with walk in rainfall shower,
Bright and spacious with 4 bedrooms, bathroom, toilet and shower room, Glorig Croft House can comfortably accommodate up to 7 guests. Enjoy spending your days beach combing, surfing, fishing, walking or just sitting on a rock reading your favourite novel, then relax in the large conservatory with outstanding views over the Atlantic. A truly 'get away from it all' holiday!
Further details
Prices include electricity, linen, towels, peat, kindling and coal.

As it is 30 minutes drive to the nearest shop, it is advisable to stock up on everyday groceries before arriving.
Sundays on the Isle of Harris are still very much a 'day of rest' with most shops and tourist attractions not opening, however the local hotels and restaurants will be open to serve meals.

“Location excellent but weekly management inadequate.”
Thursday 9th (day before arrival): Notified by proprietor that oven element required replacement, hopefully by the Monday 13th. I e-mailed enquiry on Tuesday 14th about replacement not having been installed but received no response (or acknowledgement). Left on 17th, oven still without new element. One of my guests found bed linen was dirty [small blood (?) stains]. I e-mailed on 16th reference breakage: apologising and enquiring how we should pay for this. I received no response (or acknowledgement). I gather that the proprietor lives in Edinburgh, the cleaning (and maintenance?) company in Stornaway - thus effective weekly management and oversight is inadequate.
