Description

When you choose Moorpark Cottage for your holiday, clever design touches ensure both maximum privacy and complete relaxation.

Rowan cottage offers a large open-plan public area, filled with light from the large picture windows and French doors, painted in soothing natural tones. The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, washer/drier, fridge freezer, microwave and dishwasher for maximum holiday convenience. The living area has a large TV, PS3 for internet access and games, WIFI, CD and DVD blu-ray player. The dining area opens out onto the open decking beyond the French doors, looking out over the stream and moorland to the south, and westward to the sea.

The master bedroom features a super king size/ twin bed with built-in wardrobe space and there is also a large twin room/ super king size. Both are furnished simply and tastefully in oak.

The light, airy bathroom has a bath, WC and hand basin with mirror, plus a large disabled access shower cubicle, finished in sleek Spanish

porcelain tiles.

Between the two cottages, a shared drying room provides invaluable space for boots, bikes, rods and other outdoor gear. Hot water is provided by solar panels, while the underfloor heating comes from a unique custom-designed renewable energy system which draws on the water from the

nearby stream.

Getting around

The most convenient way to travel around the island is by car. There are busses available but they are not very regular and won't take you to all the 'must-see' locations. You may want to cycle around the Hebrides too, however, we would recommend bringing having a car as well as bikes due to the unpredictable weather conditions and long distances. You are also able to rent a car for when you arrive to collect or get one when you arrive at either the ferry terminal and the airport.

Interaction with guest

The cottage will be open upon arrival and the owners will meet you once you arrive. Angus and Marlene will be in touch during your stay unless they say otherwise (if they are touring about on their own holiday). Please don't hesitate to contact them. They will give you any information you need and can suggest what to do and see while you're visiting their lovely Island.

Bin Info: There is a food waste bin located under the sink which can be disposed of in the large organic bin at the end of your stay. There is a non-recyclable waste bin inside which can be disposed of in the large non-recyclable waste bin outside (we provide 1 large bin bag). The glass bin is located in the porch which we will empty when cleaning the property. We please ask that you would separate any recyclable waste and dispose of that in the large recycling bin at the end of your stay too.

How do damage deposits work?
