This beautiful unit is withn the quiet upscale historic Conanicut Island village of Jamestown. Conanicut Island where Jamestown is located was founded in 1678 and lies in the middle of Narragansett Bay. A windmill is just one of the many unique historical structures just down the road. Nearby within a short walking distance are many scenic views, fine restaurants, public library, pharmacy, Jamestown Fire Museum, convenience store, golf course, tennis courts, shopping, grocery store, fitness center, beaches, post office, and the Jamestown/Newport Ferry. There are many things to do for the athlete, fisherman, sailor or water sport enthusiast. Boat, Kayak and jet ski rentals are available on the island at East Ferry 7-days a week during summer and some companies will even deliver the kayak and equipment to you on site. A visit to Beavertail, the southern most tip of the island, you will enjoy the scenic views of crashing waves against the rock cliffs, smell of salt air and watch beautiful sunrise and sunsets. Visit Sweet Berry farm and pick strawberries, blueberries in Middletown. Enjoy the nightlife of Newport, RI, just a few miles away, in the many pubs, clubs, and fine restaurants. A fantastic place to stay and spend time with family or a wonderful couples retreat. If you would like just a short walk (less than a mile) boat and kayak rentals are available in Jamestown's East Ferry. Newport is just a short 5-10 minute drive or you can take the Newport/Jamestown Ferry from Jamestown's East Ferry Launch. If running or cycling are your thing the October Columbus Day Cycling race around the island, the Marathon in July are big attractions on the Island for athletes and our location is a great place to stay if running in the Boston Marathon!

The location of this unit is a big plus since it is centered perfectly in the New England area. A short drive to Boston, New York City, Cape Cod and many other locations in the New England. Boston is a short 45-60 minute drive and convenient for a day trip to a Red Sox Baseball, Patriots Football, Revolution Soccer or a Bruins Hockey game! Visiting the Boston Breweries? Visit Samuel Adams, Harpoon or other breweries then take a walk along the Freedom Trail in the Northend of Boston, Tour Fenway Park. New York City is just a few hours drive each way and the Cape is about an hour drive. Looking to visit New England this is overall the best location to be centered in New England.
