Our rustic home is nestled within a mile of Lake Arrowhead and is a true home away from home. It comfortably sleeps more than 18 people in 3,300 sqft. of space and has all the amenities to make your stay enjoyable and restful. It’s perfect for family reunions, church groups, scrapbookers, or large families.
We fell in love with Arrowhead years ago and have stayed in many homes around the lake. The thread tying all those homes together? Uncomfortable beds with questionable sheets! We understand how important good beds are for rejuvenation and clean sheets for peace of mind. Now that we have a place of our own, we made it a point to invest in brand new (as of the Summer of 2013) Memory Foam mattresses that have all our guests asking us where they were purchased!
HOME AWAY FROM HOME
The kitchen is equipped with a new industrial stove and a large new stainless steel refrigerator. It’s fully stocked with silverware, plates, pots, pans, and almost anything else you'd find in your kitchen at home. The porch has an electric BBQ grill, a traditional charcoal grill, and a picnic bench to enjoy your freshly grilled food outside.
Feel free to use our large laundry room with washer and dryer. We provide freshly laundered sheets, blankets, and plenty of towels! (Make sure to bring a few extra blankets if more than 16 people are planning on sleeping over.)
The living room areas are bright and spacious with large windows that allow the sun to bathe the rooms with natural light throughout the day. We have plenty of couches where you can sit and talk as well as a fun little sunken pit area (see pictures) (email: hidden)ract the younger ones like bees to honey. They love sitting in that area to read, talk, play card games, and hang out for hours on end.
There’s also heating for the winter and three real wood burning fireplaces (one in each of the master suites and in the main living room) to keep you warm during the winter months.
Come and have a wonderfully stress-free, joy-filled, and blessed stay with your family and friends. We hope you enjoy your stay as guests in our home!
Guests will be given 3 access cards to allow a total of 18 people into the private "Tavern Bay Beach Club" just a mile walk or drive down the road.
In the garage, we have a game room equipped with a foosball table, an arcade-style basketball game, and a dart board. Inside the house, enjoy our board games, and 3 wood-burning fireplaces. In the living room, we have a flat screen TV equipped with a surround-sound stereo system, a DVD player, PSone with some throwback games, and a mini-projector to watch movies on.
If it's a luxurious spa you're craving, the Spa of the Pines at the Lake Arrowhead Resort is the place you're looking for. They have a fitness center with equipment and various classes (Pilates, Yoga, Aerobics) as well as a swimming pool overlooking the lake. Monday through Friday daily spa fee is $20 and Saturday and Sunday is $25. You can find their brochure on the kitchen counter.
For winter sports enthusiasts, the Snow Valley skiing, snowboarding, and tobogganing slopes are only about 15 miles (25 min.) away toward Big Bear Lake.
Return home from the beach or the slopes and relax your muscles in the downstairs hot tub which is available for your use.

We had a great time in this big home with a large group of ladies for our church women's retreat. It is in a very quite neighborhood and we enjoyed nice walks around the home. There were many beds and space, but for a larger group, people need to be ok with staying on the floor beds or couches in shared spaces. Lots of bedding, very clean, and a fully stocked kitchen. The living room/family room spaces were great for meeting as a group. The Chois were extremely responsive and helpful during the planning and the stay. Overall an extremely relaxing spot with no complaints.

We had a wonderful time in arrowhead at this cabin with a group of friends. The house was huge, in wonderful shape, and the owners were on call as soon as we got there for any questions. The only issue we had was that the ipod hookup didn't work, but the owners were very attentive in helping us configure a different music system. Overall, awesome. Bring your own ipod speakers, and if it is snowing bring tire chains or they won't let you drive up (we had a few guests who got stuck). We would 100% go back to this house! Perfect weekend! Thank you Sarah for that good words.
You and your group were perfect guests to my house and will host you again if you would let us. I am so glad you had wonderful time at the House and hope you and your friends made lots of good memories.
As for the I pod speakers, I want to apologize for not fixing in time before your arrival. The speakers got broken only a few days before and we just found out. But, since your stay, we bought new speakers and it works great! Our guests love it.
Again, thank you and best,

This house is great for a big group wanting to enjoy time together. Enough space and supplies to manage such a large group. We really enjoyed the pillow pit and the balcony which gives you a wonderful view of foliage. A few people drove to big bear to ski while others went on a hike not far from the house. Every night we had competitions in the garage where there is a fun basket ball game.
The only setback/difficult part of the house is due to the fact that they do not have trash service during the week which was not explained clearly. That meant we literally had to take trash with us home. Not so much fun. They were also very particular about clean up that wasn't explicitly stated (putting futons back into their exact spot-we thought cleaners would be responsible to cleaning them before putting them away) But other than that, it was great. Great House and great owners who were very receptive and available if anything went wrong! Thank you for letting us stay! Read more
Miss Madison and her friends were great people to host! We loved to host them at my house in Lake Arrowhead. I am so glad you had enjoyed the 'pillow pit' where most of our guest, little kids and adults alike, gather and make lots of memories sometimes all through the night!
Yes, it was unfortunate to have you take all the trash with you because you stayed during the weekdays. With most Mt. Vacation rental, all trash is to be disposed by the renter because we do not have regular pick up schedule, however, there is a place very nearby to take to during the weekend guest.(Sat and Sun.)
I did bring up in our conversation about where your group left the Queen size futon from one room to another, because it was specifically stated in the renters guideline,'not to move any of the furniture or furnishings in the house and in the case of move, that they should be put back to where they were. Often times, the cleaning crew is a person(typically a lady) and it is really difficult for one person to move any furniture thereby requiring an extra hand help... but, luckily we had two people working that evening.(no harm done)
We really appreciate your kind words and glad you and your group had great time and we would love you to come back.
