“Dream Holiday!” We stayed at Casa Loma last summer and had an effortlessly reviving experience. This place is minutes (on foot!) from some of the most beautiful beaches in Puerto! It's absolutely clean and safe due to the watchful attention of a lovely housekeeper and regal gentleman gardener in his 80's :) !! The best thing about this place is the roof terrace with two levels of ocean-viewing bliss, two hammocks, lounging furniture, table and chairs and ample room to do your morning yoga practice or sip on fresh juice while sunbathing in privacy (read: naked). By the way, the kitchen is fully stocked, nothing special but absolutely fine. With the nightlife, seafood and tacos around town, you won't be eating in too often! But, if you do--Casa Loma is minutes away from the grocery store and many other small bodegas as well as a block from a cute, family-owned internet "cafe" (not a cafe so much as a room with ancient monitors and stiff chairs...which is good b/c you didn't come to Mexico to be online...right?) The design of the place is super cute too, with bright, festive accents. Chuck and Mary (the owners that you'll deal with upon renting) seem thoughtful and definitely knowledgeable about Mexican culture and Puerto in general. They're world travelers themselves and seem to earnestly want to make your stay great and easy. We rented a scooter for a few days and zipped around the countryside. I suggest you stay at Casa Loma and do the same!

“Paradise!” My husband and I stayed in the blue villa for three nights. It was absolutely amazing! It was the most breathtaking place I have ever stayed at and we miss it! The home is flawless. The most amazing feature is the view. You are looking onto a cliff and all around you are amazing birds and we even saw a whale in the ocean in front of us! Amazing!

5 Charming Ocean View Casitas, Las Palmas, w Beach

Huatulco apartment

  • 1 bedroom
  • 2 bathrooms
  • sleeps 4

“What more could you want?” To add our thoughts about Las Palmas. We've stayed here 8 weeks over the last three years and we've already booked for next year! We feel this place is special for a couple reasons. It is unique in that it is all by itself, on the rugged edge of National Park property. It is not in a residential neighborhood, not in a commercial area but it's hardly secluded. We walk to both Santa Cruz (about 2 miles) & La Crucecita (about 2.5 miles). Also, an easy walk down to La Entrega for beach activities like snorkeling, lunch & tropical drinks. Violin beach is right below Las Palmas and usually very quiet and very beautiful. Our son proposed to his girlfriend while snorkeling on there! We love the fact there are only 5 casistas and 3 villas at Las Palmas. It is small enough to get to know other vacationers & share the amenities, but still plenty of privacy to do your own thing. Looking forward to Las Palmas every year makes the daily grind much easier to endure!

Casa Mihale-Sweeping Ocean Vistas New Beach Home
Lush eco-comfort in the heart of the village

I had visited San Agustinillo many years ago during the height of the turtle fishing industry when there were no paved roads, electicity or running water in the village. It was truly an unspoiled paradise, with a "wild west" feel to it. I had always wanted to return, and chose the occasion of milestone birthday last year to do so. After much searching online, looking for the "perfect spot" nearest as I could tell to where I parked my camper van on the beach all those years ago (but with more creature comforts), I chose Casa Mihale. All my dreams and hopes about my long-awaited return were rewarded, both by San Agustinillo and Casa Mihale. Booking Casa Mihale was a breeze, and the owner extremely responsive and helpful. Upon our arrival, the Casa was absolutely perfect; supremely comfortable, spacious, clean, well-stocked, and in a great location, centrally located within the village. It was a great feeling to be in the middle of San Agustinillo and be a part of life there, yet also have a private retreat in the lap of luxury, situated in the breezy tree-tops with amazing views. We loved the tranquil, artistic design and quality construction of Casa Mihale, and its utilization of local hardwoods and other materials — very much in keeping with the local eco-guidelines and architecural/aesthetic themes of the village. The spacious, open kitchen/dining/lounge area with ocean views was a delight. On the warmer nights, the air-conditioned bedroom was a welcome option. The attention to detail with plush linens, appliances, and other touches that make a vacation stay more comfortable were much appreciated. Beto and Chema, our hosts and downstairs neighbors, were very friendly and helpful in every way. Beto’s family has a long history in the village (I had fished and snorkeled with his father when I was there in the 70's), so their knowledge of all things San Agustinillo is deep. Be sure to take a fishing and/or marine life/snorkeling trip with Beto and his brother Antonio and swim with the turtles! We also enjoyed La Mora Cafe right across the street for frequent coffees and great breakfasts. The owners, Rosie and Ignacio, are wonderful people as well. Casa Mihale, San Agustinillo, and the whole surrounding area are a piece of heaven not to be missed. Can’t wait to go back!!see more
CASA EMELINA, 25 Meter overflow Pool, Best Location
Best villa for the last 10 years

Dear owners, dear staff of Casa Emelina, thank you for the wonderful stay at the best villa we ever rented. We had more fun as we ever estimated. The chef did a great job, i still miss his excellent dishes. Our kids loved the huge pool and the green garden. You will find everything you dreamed about in that hidden paradise. It was the best decission to fly to Puerto Escondido for renting a beautiful villa. Muchos saludos Gloria with familysee more
Luxury Ocean View Villa Bahias de Huatulco 6 Independent Rooms
Outstanding!

My family had the privilege of spending 2 luxurious weeks in this incredible home. When we entered the colourful manicured grounds and had been welcomed with many smiles, we all knew we were in for an unforgettable adventure. The moment we passed through the beautiful traditional Mexican front entrance of Villa Roxana, instantly the view of the ocean bay below is beyond spectacular. I could literally hear my mind saying "I am in the right place, this is where I want to be". Wow! The bedrooms are all private very tastefully appointed, extremely comfortable and very quiet, each with complete en suite, fans and air conditioning. The large lounge/living area is all open air, spectacular high ceiling with large comfortable sitting space with immediate views and access to the infinity pool, surrounded by gorgeous trees and flowers, and of course the sea. The large dining area is just above the lounge and is quite unique, as you are elevated and have a complete unrestricted view of the ocean and the entire Tangolunda Bay. Dining is an absolute pleasure, tasting the gourmet food prepared and served at the large dining table by the excellent staff, and feeling the wonderful breeze entering through the windows. We all enjoyed exploring and going for walks in this quiet gated secure community. The location is perfect for all. When going out to the shops in nearby La Crucecita, all we had to do is ask the staff to call a taxi, and we were on our way in a matter of minutes. This home, and it's staff is exceptional, it is very secure, private, quiet and unique, it is always impeccably clean, the pool is maintained every morning, and has all the modern amenities and more. Very very comfortable. Perfect spot for entertaining! Thank you so very much to the owner and staff for having us at Villa Roxana. Looking forward to seeing you soon. All the very best!...Fredy.see more
The Sanctuary - Mandala Room
The Sanctuary - a place to be yourself, relax, surf, unwind and

I stayed at the Sanctuary for a week and a half in July - the Sanctuary was exactly that "A Sanctuary" a place for me to just relax, unwind, surf, hang out with authentic people and focus on myself. The establishment is located in a quiet part of Puerto Escondido very near (10mins walk) the popular surfing beach Zicatela. Being an avid surfer myself I loved that the beach was so close with the point break another 10 mins walk once you get to the beach. For a small deposit they even leant me their surfboard. Sure I could have stayed at a cheaper hostel a little bt closer to the beach but the Sanctuary offered me so much more than what any hostel could offer. The real magic is what they are creating - which is a place where you can come and evolve either as an individual or as a small or large group. They aim to help you move forwards on all levels physically, emotionally, spiritually. Included in my stay was their regular yoga classes, african dance, daily fresh organic juice and breakfast and a cooked vegetarian lunch - I did not even need to eat an evening meal! They are also actively involving the local community in all of their programs and events. Pete the owner is a great guy, he is the visionary for the space and what it is evolving into. Although he has now overseas looking to start another place and has handed over the daily operation to a manager. Other aspects I loved about the Sanctuary: - It is a massive villa with three levels, the Palapa on the 3rd level is awesome - They treat you as part of your family from the time you arrive and even after you leave - I have made some lifelong friends from my stay. - There is always something happening e.g. yoga, meditation, day trips, going out to a cafe, going shopping at the local market - It is in the heart of a local neighbourhood - so you get a true local experience, however a 10min walk and you are amongst local bars and restaurants. If you're looking for something different this is the place for you.see more
Luxury Oceanfront Penthouse - Los Suenos - rooftop, pool, beachfront
Surpassed all expectations

Love all the people we interact with from owner Birgit to manager Maria, drivers, and onsite maintenance guys! We really appreciate all the recommendations for sites and restaurants. This home is deluxe accommodation, tasteful decor and so convenient for walking to either village or Playa Chahue. A new business located around the corner rents quality bikes by the hour or half day for very reasonable rates. Great way to tour around without taking taxi (although taxis are very reasonable to any sites). I really have to dig deep to find anything negative to say, and that would be some nights the nearby night club music pounds a loud beat until about 3:00 a.m. But you can always close your doors and windows and let the air conditioning drown out the noise. Thanks for another fantastic trip!see more
Paraiso de los Angeles - Villa Roja
Wonderful Spot

If you are looking for a place to really feel like you have gotten away from it all, this is it. Fantastic ocean views, wonderful breezes, the sound of surf immediately below you, inspiring architecture and all the amenities of home create the opportunity for a unique and wonderful vacation. While Puerto angel is a short but strenuous 15' walk away, if you visit you should probably count on a rental car to conveniently access all the interesting spots close by. We are looking forward to a return visit!see more
