This location is very close to beaches along Milton Three Ponds located in both Maine and New Hampshire. Also nearby are Mousam and Bauneag Beg Lakes. Pick your own blueberry, strawberry, peach, apple and pumpkin farms are all a stone's throw away. A great local spot to visit is McDougall Orchards for cider donuts, hayrides, farm animals, apple and pumpkin picking, moose and/or deer sighting. You may see moose or deer right in the front field as you sip your morning tea or coffee.
There is epic ice cream to be had at local Shain's of Maine.
There are several local playhouses nearby, the most charming being Hackmatack Playhouse, a former working barn converted into a theater. Hackmatack frequently serves local treats such as strawberry shortcake during intermission. Charming seacoast towns such as Portsmouth, NH are a short drive away.
