Description

Cute Cape cottage with a sun room and outdoor private patio and outdoor private shower with hot and cold water. House has a huge yard with an ocean view of Town beach. The living room has a fireplace for a chilly evening. Little Compton is very quiet and peaceful. The house is on a dead end, one lane road, with light traffic for more quiet. The yard is very private behind the house and has a fenced in outside shower. The master bedroom has a king size bed, the second bedroom has a bunk bed with a queen size on the bottom and a twin on the top. There are 2 bathrooms one with a tub/shower and the other with a shower. There is a washer/dryer in the basement. Floors are hardwood and have been refinished except the kitchen which has ceramic tile. You can see the town beach from the house and there is also a town 'dog beach' on Sakonnet point which you can use.

WALKING, BICYCLING, and ROLLER BLADING are a joy on the flat, beautiful roads and paths in Little Compton(bring your own equipment)! There are TENNIS courts in town, near the common which are rarely used and available to summer visitors. There is also a playground for children to use in town. GOLF is 15 miles away in Portsmouth. Newport is only about 20 minutes away with it's tours of the local mansions and beautiful ocean walk.

Little Compton is a very safe town off the beaten path with excellent restaurants. Some PLACES OF INTEREST are the Commons, The Sakonnet Wine Vineyards (daily tours, and tasting), and Newport. Daytrips to Cape Cod, Nantucket, Martha's Vineyard, and Block Island are reasonable. Two nearby wineries and a brewery to visit. The town has 2 beaches. One can be seen from the house and the other is a Dog beach at Sakonnet point for the pooches to swim at.

House rules

Hi, We have short term rentals in the off season and only rent for a minimum period of a week which starts on Saturday at noon and ends the following Saturday at 9:30 AM in June, July, August and September. The maximum people the house can accomodate is 5. No parties or events may be held at the home or on the property. No smoking and no lighted candles in the house please.
