Popty Pennant is an old bakehouse cottage on the Chirk Castle estate within the grounds of an historic upland manor house, sited in the glorious Ceiriog Valley on the Welsh borders in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Plas Pennant occupies an enviable position at the head of a secluded valley, 900 ft above sea level, offering complete quiet and solitude although only a short drive to Llangollen, Chirk and Oswestry. The old bakehouse has been meticulously restored by Cadw's Inspector of Historic Buildings for North Wales and fitted with rustic antique furniture and fixtures. The accommodation, with stone flagged floor and beam ceiling, includes a tiny sitting room, kitchen, shower room and crog loft double bedroom. The bakehouse has a cobbled courtyard with garden table and chairs and use of the extensive manor house gardens with spectacular views down towards the Ceiriog Valley.

“A perfect spot”
A brilliant little cottage, in lovely countryside, high up it the Ceiriog Valley. It has everything you need for a relaxed stay in a perfect setting that feels away from the world but is actually easily accessible to Chirk and Llangollen.. Good walks straight from the door. Nick and Derek are perfect hosts and couldn't have been more helpful and accommodating to our needs. We fell in love with the place and can't wait to go back there Ronno and Brian

“Perfect!”
The perfect place for a romantic get-away in beautiful surroundings. The bakehouse is compact and cozy, and has everything you really need. Everyone is very friendly, including the chickens and the dogs! Great location with easy access to some lovely countryside. We will be back!
