Description

Villa Evanthia is a newly built -2013 - villa with private pool run by the Paraschakis family and it has so many things to offer.The villa is situated in a landscape of unique beauty with nice views,in a peaceful area and just a two minute walk from the village of Melidoni.
A great place for you ,the distinguished traveller, who is seeking for a "home" away from home!Away from the hustle of the touristic areas but perfectly situated to reach Crete's different and beautiful beaches,villages and sights.
When you walk in the garden gate you have a beautiful garden with grass and colourful flowers on your right and on your left you have a 40m2 swimmimg pool surrounded by sun beds for your relaxation.Looking further into the garden you will also see a barbeque area and a wood burning oven,ideal for lamb and potatoes.There is also private parking.
On the ground floor there is a fully equipped kitchen,a living room with a fireplace,a bedroom with two single beds,a bathroom and a small storage.The ground floor and the outdoor space (pool area,barbeque area and parking) have access for disabled guests.
On the first floor there is a bedroom with one double bed and a balcony.The second bedroom has three single beds and a balcony.And the third bedroom has a double bed ,ensuite bathroom and a balcony.There is also a third bathroom on the first floor.
Villa Evanthia sleeps from five to ten people.We hope that the visitors at Villa Evanthia not only feel comfortable but they feel at home!
Joanna Paraschakis,the owner of Villa Evanthia and The Paraschakis Family Olive Oil Factory which is also in Melidoni is open to the public and our guests have the opportunity to be guided,free of charge,through three different olive oil factories.
At the first olive oil factory the visitors have the chance to see how olive oil was produced in the older days with manually worked tools and the help of animals.At the second olive oil factory the visitor has the chance to see how olive oil was produced with less effort,with the help of a diesel machine.The third factory which we can see is the one we use today which uses centrifuge.
The Paraschakis Family Olive Oil Factory was founded in 1991 By Manolis Paraschakis and since then our family has been making olive oil for our family and for the people in the surrounding villages.In 2004 we opened our doors to the public so that anyone who is interested in learning all the details of olive oil,from picking to processing the olives,is welcome to visit us!!

Response from the owner Wendy , Dan ,Sue , Glyn and their children stayed in Villa Evanthia for a two week holiday in August and I must say they were super duper guests!! We had great communication from the first e-mail. They took really great care of the villa and kept it clean and tidy during their stay. Their three children, ages six to eight were really well behaved. I especially enjoyed having Wendy and her family stay at Villa Evanthia and it would be my pleasure to have them stay again in the future!!
