This superb, detached cottage near Melvich sleeps five people in three bedrooms.The Auld Kirk is a wonderful, detached cottage set four miles from Melvich in the Scottish Highlands. Originally a church, this superb holiday property has two bedrooms, each with an en-suite, including a ground floor king-size double and a first floor family room. There's also a family bathroom, a mezzanine sitting area on the first floor and an open plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area. Outside is a patio garden with furniture along with ample off road parking. The Auld Kirk is a superb, unique holiday home in a remote and beautiful part of Scotland.
Amenities: Underfloor heating. Electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher, WiFi, TV with FreeSat, DVD, selection of books, games and DVDs. Fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Cot and highchair on request. Ample off road parking. Patio garden with furniture. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Shop and pub 4 miles.
Region: From the lush green farmlands of the Borders to the ruggedness of the Highlands, the Scots are proud of their land and identity. Scotland also has some of Britains best beaches with glorious stretches of clean sand over which to roam.
Town: The village of Melvich is located on the north coast of Scotland near the mouth of the River Halladale and is set in the rolling and open space of Sutherland known as 'Mackay Country'. Melvich has a village shop and post office as well as a village inn with a restaurant. The village attracts many visitors, especially during the summer months, as it is an ideal base for touring the north coast of Scotland.
