We have just had the most enjoyable week in Angelesey staying at Tawelfa cottage in Moelfre. The cottage is very neat, tidy and well cared for and has everything you could possibly need for your stay. The location in Moelfre is great for exploring the isle of Anglesey and of course Moelfre itself. We would definitely recommend Tawelfa cottage as a great, dog friendly place to stay

Response from the owner Thank you for your comments which I will very much take onboard. I am extremely disappointed that up you didn’t find the cottage as clean as you would expect - our reviews have always been very positive about the cleanliness so I can only assume this was an oversight on this occasion. I will feedback your comments to the housekeeper and ensure our normal standards are maintained. I do agree there is some discolouration on the bath sealant and grouting - our bathroom, kitchen and flooring are being updated over the winter months. The temperature of the water is due to the eco friendly air source heat pump. To mitigate this, we have a tradition immersion heater which can be used to boost the water temperature in the tank as much as is needed. It is different to a gas combi boiler but it’s our only option as there is no natural gas on the island. We do have artificial grass - the benefit of this is that in the winter months it’s not a muddy patch unsuitable for dogs. Most of our four legged friends (including our own) are fine with the size of the garden but the main attraction is walking the coastal path walks and beach just minutes from the door. I’m pleased you enjoyed your first visit to Anglesey and hope you’ll visit the island again. Best wishes Lesley

“Excellent Cottage”

Reviewed 21 Sep 2019

My wife and I have just come back from a wouderful week at this cottage, this cottage has all you coud ask for even plenty of games and vidios for the kidds if the weather is bad. We where very lucky as the weather was brilliant. The cottage was very clean and well maintained nice touch of a pint of milk and a packet of wesh short bread biscuiets waiting for us which was much appreciated. After a small hick up with a power cut which threw the electric water heating sytem out a quick phone call and it was all sorted no problem. We would highly recomend this cottage and with the coastal cafe chip shop just 15 secound walk away really handy if you dont fancy cooking. All we can say is that Lesley you have a little gem there and thank you for leeting us have the use of it
